Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem-Chapter 86: Welcome to BB-1
Chapter 86: Welcome to BB-1
The train finally slowed to a halt, hissing to a stop as the platform gates of BB-1 slid open.
Zain stepped out first, followed by Zelia and Savra.
The moment the siblings looked around, their eyes widened.
Zelia blinked several times.
"Whoa..."
Zain narrowed his gaze.
Scanning the smooth glass panels, high-rise towers, floating billboards, and clean streets pulsing with soft neon light.
"This place is... different."
"Feels like we stepped into the future," Zelia muttered.
Compared to the chaos of the C Zones.
BB-1 was another world entirely.
Savra didn’t say anything.
She just smirked at their reaction and kept walking.
They approached a large checkpoint where several guards stood.
Zelia handed Savra a folder containing their identification data.
Savra took it and gave Zelia a small nod.
Then, she turned toward Zain, eyes sharp.
"Zain... one last time. Did you awaken it?"
Zain met her stare and smiled.
No words.
Just a smirk.
Savra’s eyes narrowed.
"That’s not an answer. What kind?"
Zain raised one finger to his lips.
"Shh. Surprise."
Savra frowned.
"I swear, if you’re bluffing again—"
"You’ll find out later," Zain said calmly, walking past her.
Savra exhaled and shook her head.
"I believe you. For now."
They didn’t go directly through the main gate.
Instead, Savra took a sharp turn down a narrow walkway beside the station.
It led them toward a hidden house half-buried in a garden wall.
Zelia looked around, confused.
"Uh... this isn’t the entrance?"
Savra grinned.
"It’s not. But you’ll see why we’re here soon enough."
From inside, a figure emerged.
He was tall, imposing, and heavily modified. A cyborg.
His body was covered in metallic plating, with exposed wires and glowing blue eyes.
Numerous cybernetic implants were lining his arms and neck.
Zelia instinctively took a step back.
"Uh... what is that?"
Savra walked forward without hesitation.
"That’s our contact."
She pulled out two slim silver chips and handed them over.
Along with the identification folders for both Zain and Zelia.
"Hero credentials. Personal IDs. The new versions, as requested."
The cyborg took the items silently.
Then, to their shock, he opened his mechanical jaw wider than humanly possible.
He then swallowed both folders in a single motion.
Zelia stared. "He ate it?"
Savra smirked. "Just wait."
The cyborg’s right arm suddenly shifted, whirring and clicking.
It then extended into a scanner-like appendage.
"Zain. Zelia," Savra said calmly.
"Give him your hand. Palm up."
They exchanged a glance, but did as told.
The cyborg’s scanner hovered over Zain’s hand first—then Zelia’s.
A faint glow burned into their skin.
A sleek, tattoo-like mark appeared on the back of each hand.
"What... is this?" Zelia asked, inspecting the mark.
"A brand?"
Before Savra could reply, the cyborg raised one hand.
He gestured silently toward a narrow passage deeper into the facility.
Savra turned to them. "Let’s talk while we walk."
They nodded, and all three stepped into the corridor.
Zelia glanced down at the tattoo on her hand.
It pulsed faintly with light.
"What is this thing, really?"
Savra walked ahead, arms behind her back.
"Your ID. In BB-1, every citizen, hero, or even visitor gets one."
"No chip, no card, no fuss. Everything’s stored in that mark."
Zain examined his own.
"Convenient. But why did we have to go to him for it?"
Savra smirked over her shoulder.
"Because he’s the fastest."
"Official routes take three days and ten forms."
"He does it in ten seconds—for a price."
Zain nodded. "Fair enough."
Zelia frowned. "He ate our files..."
Savra chuckled.
"He’s a data-digester. Converts paper, chip, or whatever into encrypted implants."
"Weird, but efficient."
Zain looked ahead. "So where does this corridor go?"
Savra answered without slowing.
"Of course—to the city."
Zelia tilted her head.
"There’s no exit sign."
Savra tapped the wall.
A section slid open smoothly with a hiss, revealing a lift glowing with blue light.
"BB-1’s official entrance is for tourists and inspections."
"We’re going through the backdoor."
Zain smirked. "Just how I like it."
Savra stepped into the lift.
"Welcome to BB-1."
Zain stepped in next.
Zelia followed right after.
The moment the lift began to rise, they felt the magnetic movement.
The walls around them lit up with translucent projections.
"Damn," Zain muttered.
"They weren’t exaggerating. This place is on a whole different level."
Zelia pressed her hand against the glowing wall, eyes wide.
"This is insane... We’re still inside a lift, right?"
Savra gave a little smile.
"Not just any lift. Everything here is multi-functional."
"Transportation, surveillance, even communication. You’re standing in a moving data hub."
The lift stopped and the doors opened.
Zain’s eyes narrowed at the light that hit them.
Zelia gasped. "Whoa..."
The three of them stepped out onto a hovering platform.
Below them, there were towering buildings, flying vehicles, glass bridges, and skywalks.
Holograms danced in mid-air, guiding traffic and advertising everything.
"This... is a whole new world," Zain said quietly.
Zelia spun around slowly.
"This looks nothing like the C Zones."
"I mean, it doesn’t even look like the same world!"
Savra stepped ahead and turned.
"Alright. First impressions aside... we’ve got a little time before we check in."
Zelia blinked. "Check in where?"
Zain looked at her. "That’s what I was about to ask."
Savra waved them along as they started walking across the platform toward a skybridge.
"Later. First, let’s go around the city. I’ll show you a few districts."
"Food courts, attraction zones, shopping districts... the fun side of BB-1."
Zelia’s eyes sparkled. "Let’s go!"
She skipped a step ahead, practically bouncing with excitement.
"I’ve never even dreamed of coming to a place like this."
Zain glanced at her, smirking.
"Are you sure you’re not going to faint from happiness before we get there?"
"Oh, shut up," Zelia said, lightly elbowing him.
"I’m here with my adorable little brother."
"I’ve got a pretty body, decent money, and now I’m on a holiday."
She twirled once as they walked, letting the breeze flow through her hair.
"This is the life."
Savra stayed silent for a beat, then gave Zain a sideways glance.
"You didn’t tell her anything, huh?"
"Tell me what?" Zelia asked, blinking innocently.
Zain shrugged, slipping both hands in his coat pockets.
"Just that you’re lucky I let you tag along."
"Most people would kill for access to BB-1."
Zelia grinned. "You’re welcome, by the way."
She then turned to Savra.
"Thank you too. For planning this."
Savra gave a polite smile.
Zelia smiled. "Let’s go. This is a real vacation."
Zain raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?"
Zelia grabbed his arm.
"Yes. And you promised me. So you’re stuck with me all day."
Savra chuckled softly.
"Guess I’ll just be your guide then."
"Shall we start with the floating dessert bar?"
Zelia clapped her hands. "Yes, please!"
Zain sighed, but didn’t fight it. "Fine. One day."
Just one day of peace.
