What was happening? Why did Henry just mention Eliana as his successor? What is going on? Sloane asked all these questions to herself but no matter how hard she thought, she couldn’t come up with a reason of why Henry was suddenly making this announcement. She was sure that Henry hated Elianain fact, he had even once said, he wished she were never born, so what changed overnight.

"The truth is, Eliana isn’t my adopted child. She is mine and Sloane real child who was unfortunately exchange as a baby by a maid of ours." Henry said.

"But since Eliana has been with you for many years does that mean you knew the truth all along?" One of the reporters that was invited asked.

But before Henry could answer, Sloane finally intervened, "What nonsense are you saying Henry? Eliana isn’t our....."

"Even after that has said the truth, do you still wish to deny me?" Eliana asked emotionally.

The reporter turned to Sloane and asked "If Eliana is your real daughter, then why are you continually denying her?"

"What sought of mother are you? Are you truly her mother?"

"Get your mic out of my face!" Sloane shouted

"My mom has always loved Amber and because of her love she convinced my father to tell the world that I was an adopted child. This day would complete if only I could hear my mother say she loves me." Eliana cleaned a tear that has escaped her eyes and looked at Henry, who was just staring at her coldly.

"Why have you chosen not to love your daughter?" A reporter asked.

"Why chose a maid child over your flesh and blood?" Another reporter asked, and then the whispers begin.

"I can’t believe Sloane told everyone that her child was adopted, how cruel!"

"I know, right? I already feel pity for that little girl, if only she was born to a better parent."

"Now I know why the Moore family are so unlikeable. I have always be weary of Sloane, and now I know my instinct was right. Good thing we never bothered to invite such a disgusting woman to our circle."

Those whispers got to Sloane and seeing that no one was going to defend her, her emotions exploded "Shut up! All of you should keep quiet and stop acting as if I need you. You all were invited by my husband, and you are only here because you wish to be involved in his company, so rather than saying such nonsense, you should be bowing your heads to me!"

"Mom." Amber softly called out. She has never seen her mother lose her cool, so why now?

"Husband?" Eliana asked confused, she looked at Henry with a confused look on her face and asked "Dad, you haven’t still told her the truth. Not fair, dad, you and Sloane got divorced a year ago, and you still haven’t told her."

Leon laughed and glanced at Zach, saying "I have come to the conclusion that your wife is dangerous."

Zach said nothing and just watched the show.

"Have you really divorced your wife?" A reporter asked.

"What is she talking about, Henry? What divorce?" Sloane asked, hoping for Henry to call off Eliana’s nonsense, but instead he looked away from her and replied.

"Sloane and I got divorced a year ago and...."

"That’s not true. I never signed any divorce papers. You are saying all these just to be with that useless mistress of yours, right?"

"It is more than that, Mom. You are dad are really divorced, but since you are in a state of denial, it’s ok. The good thing is, dad gave me the finalize paper to keep for him and when I was about to come to this party, I just had this feeling that I should take the divorce papers with me."

"Does that mean you are currently with the divorce papers, Mrs. Sanders?" A reporter asked.

Eliana nodded with a sad smile and called out to Ethan, who immediately rushed to her with the papers.

"Thank you." Eliana thanked him and sighed when she saw the paper, she walked to her mother and said, "Look, isn’t this your signature."

Sloane snatched the papers and could not believe it. It was her signature and the divorce date was a year ago. But how? When did she even sign this?

"This Is a fake, you must have forged my signature."

Eliana chuckled and immediately apologize "I’m sorry, but it’s the first time, I’m seeing you this upset so I couldn’t help but laugh."

There was anger in Sloane’s eyes as she asked, "You think this funny? You are really the one who has planned all these, right?"

"Me? You think I plan your divorce and kept it from you for a year, I must say that you have a wide imagination, Mom."

"The signature isn’t fake. You signed these papers yourself, and if you like to run your signature by an expert, then feel free to do so." Henry said, and when he saw hurt and betrayed in her eyes, he looked away.

"I’m sorry to say, Mrs. Moore, but..... oops, you are no longer a Moore. Oh goodness, then what should I call you now. Sloane anger took control of her after she heard Eliana words and in front of everyone raise her hands to her, but before it could land on her face, Eliana held it and said "Didn’t I tell you not to ever raise your filthy hands on me? Just because I share the same space with you and I talk to you doesn’t mean you should forget your place. Why are you so angry, anyway? Dad got a divorce from you because he could no longer stand you, no longer love you. Do you see now, Sloane that you are not as important as you think you are?"

Eliana sighed and looked at her father saying "Dad has another important announcement to make, right?"

Henry glared at her, but still replied, "Yes."
