"What do you mean by you won’t marry me? So are you expecting me to give birth to this child without any assurance that it will be taken care of?" Amber asked in anger.

"You have my word and that of my father’s. The child will be taken care of but I do not want to marry you." Jason said in distress. Just when he thought he could have a chance with Eliana after she allowed him to hold her at the after party in Siol City, he came back to Rosehill city to hear his father saying he has to get married to Amber.

"And if I say words aren’t enough for me? Are you expecting me to put everything in the line for just your word?" Amber asked angrily.

"Why not? To be honest, Amber, I don’t see what the exact problem is. After all, you were planning to get married to Nolan. My father has decided to help your family, but all that will change if you abort this baby, and if you decide to keep it, you will surely live a better life than being stuck as the wife of a man twice your age. Think about it carefully."

"Yes, I love her," Jason replied without any hesitation.

Even if a part of Amber was surprised by his answer she did not show it. Her lips instead curled into a smile as she said "Well, that’s too bad because the only way the child in my womb is going to survive is if you get married to me."

Jason frowned at her words and asked "Have you stood so low that you will force a man to marry you? My mother was right about you, you truly are pathetic, Amber."

"I do not care what your mother thinks about me and you say I’m pathetic? Are you any different? You calling me pathetic is hypocritical especially when you are pining after a married woman."

"Amber!"

"You have two choices, Jason. Marry me, and I will gladly have this child and make your father happy, but if you choose to abandon me to chase after Eliana, then I will also gladly abort this baby. And when the doctors are taking it out from me, I definitely won’t forget to tell the baby that the reason he couldn’t come into this world was simply because his father didn’t want him."

Dressed in a black gown to compliment her husband’s black suit and with her hair let down, Eliana glanced at herself one more time before rushing downstairs because she knew Zach was already waiting for her.

Zach, who glanced at his watch for the third time, was about to go check on his wife when he saw her finally coming down.

"How do I look?" Eliana smiles excitedly.

"Beautiful," Zachary said without taking his eyes off her. He held her hand and kissed it "I can’t wait to rip it off you after tonight."

Eliana snatched back her hands as she said, "If you rip all my clothes, then what should I be wearing?"

"Says the girl who doesn’t hesitate to rip out my shirts when she is too impatient to unbutton them," Zachary replied with a smile.

"You....." Eliana was speechless and the only thing she could do was to glare at him.

Zach ignored her look and leaned forward to steal a kiss from her before saying, "Fine, we will try not to rip each other’s clothes, but no promises."

Eliana scoffed and walked passed him without saying anything.

Zachary chuckled softly and rushed to hold her hand as they both left the house.

Ethan, who was standing by the car waiting for them, was once again surprised when he saw a smile on Zach’s face. A smile he had rarely seen in his boss ever since he started working for him, but now it was as if the man could laugh and smile so easily.

Indeed, he was truly wrong about Eliana. Not only has their marriage brought happiness to Zach’s life, but even after the loss of their child, it was as if his boss could still find comfort in Eliana. He was glad they got married, and he sincerely hoped that they will never always be together.
