Her Dark Desires-Chapter 56: I Wish I Never Met You
Siol City
Eliana met with Cindy and told her how excited she was to model her clothes, and Cindy, who watched a few runway shows of her, told her she was also glad to have Eliana become her model.
Being in Siol with her mother-in-law made Eliana happy until Cindy introduced her to Jason.
"This is Jason Lennox, and he is going to model all my male collections," Cindy said with a smile.
Jason was shocked when he saw Eliana, and he felt his heart racing as he looked at her. How was it that she had gotten more beautiful just in the few weeks they did not see each other?
"I’m Eliana Sanders." Eliana introduced herself to him as if they were meeting for the first time, and Jason frowned at that.
Why was she behaving as if they didn’t know each other, and since when did she start answering that bastard’s last name in her business?
"Jason Lennox." Jason decided to go with the flow and no one could guess that these two were once friends.
The runway event started at 5 pm, and with each clothes she put on, and each time she walked on the stage, she saw Charlotte videoing and cheering her on, which made Eliana excited. It was as if she finally had a mother who was proud of her, and it gave her a feeling she couldn’t explain.
The show ended by 8 pm, and Eliana was invited to an after-party event. She wanted to refuse, but Cindy gave her no such chance.
"Do not get drunk and be in your room before 10 pm," Charlotte said when Eliana told her about the after-party.
"Yes, Mom." Eliana agreed without any argument.
Charlotte smiled and said, "Also, call your husband before he blows up my phone with his calls."
"That’s true, I need to call Zach."
Charlotte sighed and once again reminded Eliana to not get drunk before leaving for her hotel.
After saying her goodbyes to Charlotte, Eliana quickly went to a corner to call Zach, but there was no answer; she decided to call him again but instead received a call from him.
With a smile on her face, she answered it and asked "Are you missing me already?"
Zachary laughed and replied "From the moment you boarded the plane, I started missing you. Mom sent me videos of your runway show and you were truly amazing. I’m proud of you."
Eliana’s cheeks became red as she softly said, "Thank you."
"Eliana." A familiar male voice called out.
Eliana froze for a second when she heard Jason’s voice and was surprised to see him approach her.
Jason, unaware of her call with Zach, said, "Cindy has already booked a reservation for us at a fancy restaurant; we should go together."
"I will be right there." Eliana just said, hoping for Jason to leave, but instead, he still stood in front of her and continued speaking.
"I know you must have seen the news of me and Amber, but....."
"I don’t care."
"What?"
"I don’t care who you sleep with, Jason. Whether it’s Amber or someone else, I just don’t care." Eliana said coldly.
Jason was surprised by how cold she spoke and looked at him and he felt as if someone was stabbing his heart. Why does it hurt to hear Eliana speak so coldly to him? Why does it hurt to see her look at him like he was a stranger?
"Nothing is tying you to him, Eliana," Jason said after a few seconds of silence.
Eliana frowned as she asked, "What are you talking about?"
Jason looked at her belly as he said, "I know you are no longer pregnant, and I’m sorry for that, but that also means nothing is tying you to Zachary Sanders."
" You are like them, aren’t you? One of those who secretly wished for the loss of my child so that Zach and I would separate."
"That.....that wasn’t what I meant."
"I wish I never met you. Let’s keep acting like strangers till we leave here and it shouldn’t be that hard, right? After all, I no longer know you anymore." Eliana said and walked past him; she went to the restroom and opened the faucet.
Eliana took in a deep breath as she heard the rush of the water.
"Are you all right?" Zachary’s voice was heard from her phone, and Eliana realized that she had forgotten she was talking to Zach before Jason came up to her.
Eliana turned off the bathroom faucet and replied "Sorry, you heard all that. I’m fine."
"Why exactly are you apologizing?" Zachary asked.
"I know how much you dislike me talking to Jason, so..."
"Is that why you stopped talking to him? Although I do not like him, I will never ask you to cut ties with someone you see as your friend unless they are bad for you."
Eliana scoffed and said, "Even though that isn’t the reason, I do remember you asking me to stay away from Jason."
"You are my woman, Eli. Do you expect me to welcome any man that comes close to you with a smile? I will get jealous, I will get possessive, and even go as far as asking you to stay away from them, but I won’t go as far as forcing you or threatening them to stay away from you unless it becomes necessary."
Eliana laughed and asked, "It makes me wonder what necessary means to you?"
Zachary let out a short chuckle as he replied, "You don’t want to know, baby."
"I love you." Eliana suddenly said. She remembered she hadn’t told him she loved him before leaving for Siol City.
"I prefer you say that to me when you return." Zachary’s voice turned into a dark whisper, and it made Eliana’s cheek some bright red.
She cleared her throat and decided to change the topic. "I will be going out for dinner tonight, so I might call you later."
"Have fun, but please do not get drunk," Zachary warned.
Eliana pouted her lips as she replied "I won’t."
Zachary was silent for a while before he said "There is something you should know."
