Her Dark Desires-Chapter 43: Henry’s Solution
"Hey, man! What’s up?" A young guy named Vincent asked Manson, who was looking weary after another vain search for Jeremy.
"You need a smoke?" Vincent asked as he handed a cigarette to Manson who took it. He helped him to light it up and smiled when Manson released a sigh of relief along with the smoke.
"Jeremy may be dead." Mason finally said after a moment of silence. Why did those words feel heavy? He had received a message from Amber saying Eliana was still alive and that no report of kidnapping was made. It made him think that for the Sanders to be that quiet after the loss of their heir, it must mean they were planning to handle things themselves, and Jeremy had already been taken care of.
"Don Marcelo won’t like that news at all. Whoever killed Jeremy must be very stupid, knowing our Don, it won’t be long before he caught that person so cheer up Mason." Vincent said in an attempt to make Mason happy but the man just kept smoking.
After finishing his smoke, Mason noticed he was alone and realized that he was so deep into his thoughts that he didn’t even know when Vincent had left.
He felt a vibration in his pocket and took out his phone, he froze when he saw it was Don Marcelo calling. Why was he calling? Could it be he already knows?

Lennox Mansion.
Cecilia Lennox watched her son as he ate so slowly and asked "What’s wrong? First, you stopped talking to that Eliana’s girl, which is good because she is a shameless tramp."
"Mom, please don’t start," Jason said with a frown. He was already beginning to lose the little appetite he had. Ever since that day Eliana left, she has neither texted him nor called him, and all his texts to her have been unanswered. He wondered if everything was all right with him. What was he even thinking when he told her he once liked Amber?
"Why are you getting angry? Don’t tell me you support her. The girl stole her sister’s fiance and shamelessly got pregnant for him. The worst part is she is just an adopted wench that the Moore family took pity on, and now that the family is in trouble, she has refused to help. If you ask me, that girl is worse than a dog, at least a dog remains loyal to their owner. It’s a good thing she even resigned from the Modeling Agency, at least she has some sense to realize that nobody would want to hire a characterless woman."
"Nobody asked for an opinion," Jason stated. "And if you felt so much sympathy for the Moore family, then why did you advise Dad to turn them down when Henry asked for his help."
"I indeed feel pity for them but it is also true the Moore family has nothing to offer. All of Henry’s businesses have gone downhill, and he is even being investigated for fraud. Why do you think I will allow your father to get involved in that mess?"
Jason dropped his spoon and stood up "I’m done eating."
"Piper is back from London, and I told her that you would be delighted to take her out for a cup of coffee," Cecilia said with a smile.
"Piper Grey?" Jason asked in surprise. He hasn’t spoken to her since she left to continue her studies abroad and now she is back?
"The Grey family comes from new money and is making a name for themselves in the technology company. I even held that Charlotte Sanders is one of their top investors and so I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to have Piper become a Lennox."
"You want me to marry Piper?" Jason asked with a scoff.
"Now that Eliana is married, your silly crush on her should have also ended, right? Piper Grey is beautiful and nice, I’m sure she will make a good wife for you. Think about it but don’t take too much time. A girl like that doesn’t stay in the market for too long."
Jason ignored his mother and walked out of the dining room.
Four minutes after Jason’s departure, David Lennox walked into the dining table and saw a barely eaten food on the table. "Where is Jason?"
"He threw a tantrum and left," Cecilia replied
"He threw a tantrum? But why?"
"Because I asked him to get ready to marry Piper."
David sighed as he sat down and said "You can’t force the boy to marry. Sure, Piper is a great girl, and it would be nice to form a marriage union with the Grey family, but not for the sake of my son’s happiness. The poor boy is still heartbroken from Eliana’s marriage, give him some breathing space."
"He isn’t heartbroken. He is just upset he didn’t have her before she got knocked up. I know my son better than you, David."
He couldn’t argue with that so he just silently ate his food and ended the conversation.

Moore Mansion
"What happened to your face?" Henry asked in surprise as he saw his wife’s bandaged head and bruised face.
"Eliana....."
"I was robbed," Sloane said, interrupting Amber, who wanted to tell the truth.
"You were robbed?" Henry asked in surprise as he rushed to Sloane and helped her to sit down on the couch.
Amber, on the other hand, frowned and wondered why her mother had lied. Why didn’t she just tell him that it was Eliana who had hurt her?
"Did you file a report? Do you need my help?"
Sloane was slightly surprised by Henry’s show of care. It wasn’t as if Henry treated her with hate but their relationship was no longer that of love.
"There is no need. We have more important things to take care of than finding some petty robbers." Sloane replied, looking away from her husband.
"If you are talking about how to save our family, then there is no need to worry anymore," Henry said, stepping away from Sloane.
"What do you mean?"
"I have found a solution and that solution is Amber. Once again our daughter Amber is going to become a blessing to our life."
Amber and Sloane shared a confused look, wondering what Henry was talking about.
Seeing the confusion on the face of his wife and child, Henry let out a smile and said, "Nolan Woods has promised to help us out and in return, he wants Amber to be his wife."
Blood immediately drains from Amber’s face when she hears her father’s words. Nolan Wood? Her father wants her to marry a man that is twice her age.
