Her Dark Desires-Chapter 118: Sloane Arrest

The beeping of the machine in the hospital room was the only sign that Jason was still alive.

David left the hospital ward and sighed when he saw his wife resting her head on their son’s bed.

He walked to her and gently tapped her.

Cecilia opened her eyes and turned to see the person who had woken her up. "You are here." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"Where else should I be?" David asked. He glanced at his unconscious son and said, "You need to get some rest on a bed. You have been here for the past three days."

"I have this feeling that he will soon open his eyes, and if he does not see me, then he will be sad."

"Cecilia."

"Just for today. If my baby boy does not wake up today, then I will go back home." Cecilia said and looked back at her son with a watery gaze. She squeezed his hand to show that his mother was still with him and then felt David’s hand on her shoulder.

"You can stay, but at least you need some fresh air. Go take a walk for fifteen minutes."

"But...."

"Am I not his father? I will look after him, so go."

Cecilia’s gaze moved to her son, and then she nodded. She was about to stand up when she saw her son’s eyes fluttering, and immediately she shouted, "Jason. Jason, you can open your eyes; don’t be scared. Your mummy is here with you."

Even David saw as their son tried opening his eyes, and he said, "I will go call the doctor."

Cecilia nodded and kept calling her son’s name.

As if finally listening to his mother’s call, Jason opened his eyes.

The doctor came at the exact moment and asked them to leave because of Cecilia’s loud cry.

David forcefully led Cecilia out of the hospital and told her, "You need to control yourself. Jason has finally woken up after months of being in a coma. Are you really going to welcome him with your tears?

"These are tears of joy. I told you, didn’t I? I told you that I felt that he was going to wake up soon. Truly, nothing can beat a mother’s instinct."

David laughed softly and hugged his wife. Even though he had just scolded his wife, a tear slipped from his eyes, and he silently said a prayer of thanksgiving for his son finally coming back to him.

The doctor came out of the ward and said, "You can now go in and see him, but please, try to control your emotions around him."

"Doctor, is he alright?" David asked.

The doctor nodded and replied, "Your son is one hundred percent alright."

Cecilia let out a sigh of relief and entered the ward.

Jason looked at his mother, who had entered, and smiled at her, "Mom."

"Jason." Cecilia cried out as she gently hugged her son. She pulled away and asked, "Are you really alright? Does anywhere hurt?"

"I’m fine, Mom." Jason said with a chuckle.

David came inside the ward and smiled at the scene.

On seeing his father, Jason slowly sat upright with the help of his mother and asked, "Is it just the two of you?"

Cecilia’s face changed as she realized who he was talking about and said, "Your Eliana is obviously enjoying her life. You think she will stay here to wait for you. After getting stabbed because of her, she couldn’t even have the decency to come visit you every day."

"Mom, I’m not asking about Eliana."

Cecilia looked at David and then at her son as she asked, "Then who..."

"Is it Leah?" David asked.

Cecilia’s face changed when she heard that name but didn’t say anything.

"Yes, where is Leah?"

"I asked her to go home to get some rest. She has been by your side for days, and she was losing the little flesh she had left, so I forced her to take her break. I should call and share the good news." David said, already taking out his phone.

"Before that, can I speak to the police? I would like to give a statement on what happened to me." Jason said.

"The woman who had stabbed you is already behind bars, but unfortunately, Sloane was set free because Helina had taken all the blame."

"But you don’t have to worry. A viral video of Sloane and Amber getting rid of a body has gone viral, and the body has been confirmed to be Nolan Woods. Their asset has been frozen, so I’m certain that it won’t be long before their arrest."

Jason nodded. "I’m glad that Sloane’s sins have finally caught up to her."

"Let’s forget about them; you should focus on resting and getting better." Cecilia said.

In the process of lying back down, Jason softly groaned in pain, causing Cecilia to fuss.

"I’m alright, Mom. I just need some rest."

David held Cecilia hand and said "Why don’t you go back home and allow him to get some rest?"

"Please go get some rest, Mom," Jason pleaded.

Cecilia nodded and left with her husband.

Left alone in the hospital, Jason’s thoughts travelled to Leah. He was going to profess his love for her that night before he got stabbed by that crazy woman. Luckily she was in prison, and Sloane would soon be arrested. He sincerely hopes that Sloane’s arrest will give some peace to Eliana.

Sloane had asked her daughter to wait for her at a different motel while she went to collect their passport alone.

Sloane frowned as she walked through a dirty street. How can a place smile like this? She asked herself as she kept walking until she reach a shop painted with a green door.

It was a tattoo shops, she entered it and said to the tatto artist who was busying drawing on someone’s hand "Romeo has something for me."

The tattoo artist looked at her from head to toe before saying, "Give me a moment."

The artist left his client and went to his desk. He brought out two passports and said, "Check if they are correct."

Sloane collected the two passports and checked them very well; she let out a sigh of relief and said, "They are perfect."

She brought out a bundle of cash from her purse and dropped it on the table as she said, "Tell Romeo I no longer owe him anything."

The tattoo artist smelled the money and said, "Done."

Sloane felt so happy as she held the two passports in her hands, but as soon as she opened the door to leave the store, she was held down by a strong hand, and her face twisted in disgust as she tasted the muddy water on the floor.

"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Sloane shouted.

"You are under arrest for murder and attempted murder. You have the right to a lawyer, and whatever you say may be used against you in a court of law." The policeman who had pinned her down said as he handcuffed her. He then raised her up as the police car drove closer to them.

How did she not notice that she was being followed? No, if that were the case, then they would have caught her since that means one thing. Romeo betrayed her!

Realizing the situation she is currently in, Sloane tried to struggle but she was forcefully pushed into the police car and fear settled in her heart as she realized that this might be the end for her. At this point, her only hope is that Amber would be able to get out unscathed.
