Her Dark Desires-Chapter 110: Never Be Blessed With A Child
West Yeng City
Hotel Restaurant
"You should eat more; you shouldn’t be so skinny." Zach softly complained as he fed her another bite of the delicious mac and cheese they had ordered.
"I can’t eat anymore, Zach." Eliana said after swallowing the last bite Zach gave to her. Zach sighed and let her be.
Eliana drank the water beside them and saw as Kayla and Mitch entered the restaurant. She put her glass down and waved her hand towards them.
Kayla waved her hand back at Eliana and dragged Mitch to go sit with them.
"You ordered mac and cheese?" Kayla asked as she saw the unfinished food in front of Eliana.
Eliana nodded. "It’s delicious, so you can order it as well if you want."
"Thank you, but I am in the mood for a chicken salad." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"As for me, I want some apple pie." Eliana said with a smile.
"I thought you said you were full?" Zach asked with a smile.
"There will always be space for dessert." Eliana replied with a smug smile.
"Oh, before I forget, both Mitch and I will be leaving the day after tomorrow." Kayla said.
"Really? Even I and Zach will be leaving the day after tomorrow as well. We will be going back to Rosehill City, although I don’t mind staying here forever, but I do miss my Leo."
"The cutest dog in the world, but although I have a feeling he is missing someone else more than me." Eliana said, glaring at Zach.
"I would also like a dog, but I don’t think now is the time. Since Mitch couldn’t find anyone to support his business in this city, adding a dog to our current situation is not a good idea."
"Kayla." Mitch called out a name with a frown.
Their table was quiet for a few seconds before Eliana broke the silence by asking, "So, Mitch, what do you do?"
"I once worked in a jewelry company, but now I’m trying to start my own company."
"Wow, that’s nice. Maybe Zach could help you." Eliana said, looking at her husband.
"Send your proposal to me through an email, and if it’s good, then I will try my best to help you."
"Really? Thank you very much, Zach." Kayla said.
"Thank you, Zach." Mitch said.
"It’s no problem." Zachary replied.
"Since we are both leaving the day after tomorrow, why don’t we spend a day at the beach?" Kayla suggested with a smile.
"Should we? I think it would be fun." Eliana replied and looked at them, with pouted lips, hoping for him to say yes.
"Fine, a day at the beach wouldn’t be so bad." Zach said helplessly. The only reason they hadn’t gone to the beach was because he knew of her fear of waters, and he didn’t want to do anything to agitate her, but since she wants to go, then he certainly wasn’t going to stop her. They only had today and tomorrow before going back to Rosehill City, and Zach was ready to agree to anything she wanted as long as it made her happy.
After their breakfast, the two couples returned back to their room to get ready for the beach. While Zach kept refusing Eliana swimwears because he thought they were too exposing, Kayla and Mitch were having a different discussion.
"Was it necessary to ask Zach for help?" Mitch asked with a frown.
"I don’t see the problem. Zach is capable of helping you, and you have gone around asking other businessmen for help, so what’s the difference if I ask Zach for help?"
"There is a difference because I know you, Kayla."
"What’s that supposed to mean?"
"Listen, just don’t do it again."
Kayla frowned and asked, "I shouldn’t help you again."
"You shouldn’t try to take advantage of your relationship with Eliana."
"So just because I asked her husband to help you, you think I’m taking advantage of her? This is about your pride again, isn’t it?" "What?"
"On a normal day you wouldn’t have been able to even get a five-second meeting with Zach Sanders, but because of me, you ate at the same table with him, and just because of that, you had a delusion that you like him."
"Watch your words."
"A lot of people ask their uncles, aunts, siblings, and even friends for help, and I did no different from them. I wanted the man I loved to have a shot since no one wanted to give you that chance, but instead of seeing that, you are criticizing my effort." Kayla said with a sad smile.
Mitch sighed and ran his hand through his hair before walking forward to hug her. "I’m sorry. I guess... A lot of people who have seen my proposal have rejected it, and some have even looked down on me; perhaps I didn’t want that same thing to happen with Zach."
"It won’t. I don’t know Zach very well, but from the few things I know about Eliana, I am certain that she will never have married a smug." Kayla said as she patted his back.
Mitch pulled away and kissed her softly, saying, "I will give it a try."
"Thank you."
"Now, since we are going to the beach, I would love to see you in your red swimsuit." Kayla chuckled because she had already decided that was what she was going to wear.
West Yeng Beach.
Eliana inhaled loudly as she breathed in the salty air of the sea. She laughed as Zach held her waist from behind and kissed her cheek. "It’s beautiful, isn’t it?" Zach asked.
Eliana nodded with a smile and said, "It’s very nice. Should we go pick up sea shells?"
Eliana did not even wait for Zach’s answer before she dragged him along with her for her seashell collection.
Kayla smiled as she looked at them and said, "Eliana said they have been married for almost two years now, but they have been together for years. They look so happy and cute."
"We also look happy and cute." Mitch replied.
Kayla scoffed and retorted, "They are married, and we are not."
"Then it’s good; I plan on changing that very soon." Kayla blushed at his words, and her heart began to race in excitement as she thought of the fact that he was going to propose to her very soon.
Eliana felt sad because she didn’t find a lot of seashells, so she decided to lighten her mood by splashing water on Zach.
Zach froze for a second when water splashed on him, and a dark chuckle left his lips before he splashed water on her as well.
Eliana laughed as all her body became soaked because of Zach, and when she saw Kayla looking dry and composed, she decided to drag Kayla to the shoreline and splash her as well.
After seeing that she had gotten a new victim, Zach immediately ran away and stood beside Mitch, who was watching his girlfriend and Eliana playing with the waters.
"I’m going to ask her to marry me." Mitch suddenly said.
Zach glanced at Mitch before focusing his gaze on his wife; he needed to make sure she didn’t go deep into the water, not even by mistake. "You don’t seem surprised?" Mitch asked.
"What’s surprising about you asking your girlfriend to marry you?" Zach replied calmly.
"I guess so." Mitch replied with a smile. "If you don’t mind me asking, how did you and Eliana meet?"
"We met at a club, had a one-night stand, and kept seeing each other until I asked her to marry me." Zach replied. He was definitely not going to tell a stranger that Eliana had drugged him when they first met at the club because he didn’t know that she was the twelve-year-old girl he had saved, nor was he prepared to talk about little treasure with anyone who didn’t already know it. Even till now, there were times he still looked at his baby ultrasound picture, and he wondered if he had survived, what would have been his first word?
"Kayla is pregnant." Mitch said, looking at the women who were obviously tired playing with water and were now laughing as they sat on the sand.
Zach looked at Mitch and said, "Congratulations."
"Thank you, but she doesn’t know I know. I saw the pregnancy test, and since she hadn’t told me a thing, I decided to not ask her about it either."
"Is that why you want to marry her? Because she is pregnant?"
Mitch laughed softly and replied, "Of course not. I love Kayla, and the moment we took this trip, I decided that I was going to propose. I just can’t believe that I’m going to be a father." "Yeah, I’m sure you are feeling overwhelmed," Zach said. He could still remember how he felt when he found out that Eliana was pregnant. He kept wondering whether he was going to be a good father or not, and even though he was very rich, he felt he needed to work harder to ensure that his child would never lack for anything. But now, he knew the answer to that question. He was never going to be a good father, and perhaps that is why he will never be blessed with a child.
