Chapter 634: Faith Points and using the research materials

There were 8 strange Gods protecting the God of Light Amante, and Allen's group had stepped into their altar.

"Why is this place so secret though? Even the Dragon God is here."

Allen called it a secret because of the hidden switch and the long trip there.

[The 1 in the center]

-God of Light Amante

[The 8 around]

1: Demon General Ordo

2: Mountain God Onuba

3: Insect God Bildiga

4: Death God Kreaper

5: Fish God Mingia

6: Dragon God Gefon

7: Lightning God Sovi

8: Wind God Vess

(They sound strong. Though I wouldn't call the other gods I've met so far weak either.)

They were just statues, but there was an imposing feeling to them.

Digragni had also fought Ordo in Prostia, looking even scarier in person.

"I've heard of some of these Gods, but there's others I haven't heard of before."

Mingia had been one of the Ancient Gods, which existed way back in the past.

"Was there a God of Wind called Vess? I never heard of that."

Sophie also shared Cecile's comment, the only God of Wind she knew was Ninlil.

"Who were they fighting against..?"

Allen also voiced his thoughts after seeing the statues.

"Fighting?"

"Yeah, they're all taking fighting poses. Even the Death God has a scythe held out."

Allen felt like statues were always built to transmit a message.

The Death God Kreaper had two bony hands peeking out from a hood, holding a scythe and ready to strike anyone who approached the God of Light Amante.

"I don't know…"

Cecile was unsure about Allen's claim.

An hour passed after that.

Shea had completed her trials today, then they met with Peromus, and now they even found a Fragment of the Sun. Thanks to all that, quite a lot of time had passed.

Now that they had taken the Fragment of the Sun, the room had become dimmer.

It was not entirely dark though, the power of Amante was likely powering the temple.

(I don't think we can learn a lot more from this though.)

Allen felt like it was time to leave now. They had tried to learn more, but staying in the temple for longer felt like a waste of time.

"Everyone, let's go outside for now."

"Right, let's do that."

Zew agreed with that decision.

Lepe had given up on searching a long time ago and was resting on the floor though.

Using the Bird A summon's Awakened Skill [Homing Instinct] they went outside the temple.

The moon was already high in the sky, and the stars dotted the sky.

(Next one is the Fragment of the Moon, huh. I wonder what temple that's hidden in.)

The Fragment of the Moon went along with the Fragment of the Sun, so Allen still had to look for it. So he looked at Temi, who also guessed as much and was looking at him.

"You want to know where the Fragment of the Moon is, right?"

"Yes, that's correct."

"I don't mind. Hmph, Star Destiny."

Temi's body had become blurry like a heat haze when she used it the first time, but it did not happen this time. She had also fallen unconscious, but now she remained awake.

"It should be in this direction now. It shouldn't be too far."

Temi pointed north, and Zew looked there with a frown.

"Lord Zew, it seems your achievements will just keep increasing."

Hobah grinned next to Zew.

"Wait, we're leaving already? I want to sleep on a soft bed for once!"

Seeing how ready Hobah was to leave, Lepe began complaining again.

Zew's group had been searching the wilderness for longer than Shea had been working on Giran's trials.

"Actually, that's true. We also have some business at Somei's mansion, so feel free to take a break for now, even if there's nothing here."

Allen realized it was better to let them rest for a bit before they headed out again.

"Nothing here? That's not something I expected you to say, Allen."

Allen had tried to be considerate of Zew, who was a prince, but that was not needed.

"What do you mean, Lord Zew?"

"Well, if we're going to take a break, we could just go hunt at the forts. Could you teleport us there to see how things are going?"

While they were investigating the statues, Allen had mentioned the forts, and it seemed like Zew wanted to see how the dragonkin were doing there.

"Huh? I see."

Allen could not say there was nothing at the forts now, as Sophie had worked hard to build them.

"Wait a second, didn't you say you barely built them earlier? Are there even beds there?"

Lepe went to question Allen, but he did not know if the beds were made of dried grass or wood.

But Lepe did not have the right to make choices for the group, so they all went to a fort.

They would head to search for the Fragment of the Moon later on.

Allen's group went to Somei's mansion and spent the night there.

Early next morning Allen was already up working on his Generation Skill.

"Hey Allen, there's proper manners to eat."

"It's fine."

The noble Cecile pointed out Allen's bad manners.

But Allen was too focused on raising his Skill Levels, as he had just learned that the [-] S summon he had obtained by reaching Summoner Level 9 was not sealed, but required an item.

That made him sure that it was a special summon, so he got even more motivated to raise the Skill Level of Generation too.

(There has to be other items that can unlock it, maybe the Fragment of the Moon will work too.)

Allen was not sure what would happen if he let the Sacred Beast Stone absorb the fragment, but if he tried it and lost the fragment, it could easily lead to his death at Cecile's hands.

So today he would be heading to the God of Magic Isiris' research facility with it.

Once they were done eating breakfast and Allen had met his morning quota of Generation, they headed to the research facility.

The research facility had been cleared up a lot by Larappa and her dwarves, but since Allen had been there many times before to get rings and bracelets, it was no surprise anymore.

"There's no one here again."

"They're probably out somewhere, they've been pretty busy."

They used the cubes to teleport to the higher levels, but Larappa and her dwarves were nowhere to be seen, so they just went to the top one where the God of Magic Isiris was.

Once they reached the top floor of the research facility, they found Larappa.

"Oh, Commandant Allen. Did you gather Faith Points so soon?"

Larappa was putting away branches and bundles of parchments when she saw the group.

"We're here for something else actually. Also that's a lot of materials."

The top floor of the research facility was packed with a lot more materials than the other floors.

"I know. You keep exchanging so many billions of Points so it's always so hectic here!"

Larappa complained rather loudly.

Allen was always coming with the Faith Points he gathered from the Earth Labyrinth and hunting ghosts to exchange for items from the God of Magic Isiris.

Those Faith Points were enough to form 10 Gods, but they were spent to keep the God of Magic Isiris' research facility running.

There were around 9 dwarves taking the Points and exchanging them for materials all the time.

Those Points could be used to buy items from the God of Trading Marne's market.

The dwarves also had to go to other Temples for items not available in the market though.

Because of that, Larappa was often left alone in the research facility.

"Should I place them over here?"

"Yes, thank you."

Allen took over Larappa's load since it looked heavy and carried it for her.

Then again, he had given her many rings and bracelets to change her stats when needed.

Having more than 10000 Attack made carrying things very easy.

But she had increased her Intelligence to 10000 instead, since that made it easier to understand Isiris' words.

'Hii hii! Now I can put this here, and this there…and I knew it! This is so bad, it's awful!!'

(At least she seems as cheerful as ever.)

After seeing how Larappa was doing, Allen turned to look at the desk, on which Isiris was scribbling furiously. Thanks to all the materials the dwarves were bringing, she was hardly sleeping as she was so absorbed by her research.

"Cecile."

"Ah, yes."

Since Allen could no longer be trusted with it, Cecile had been carrying the Fragment of the Sun, so she took it out and placed it on top of the desk.

'Is…is this… is this itttt?!! Kyeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!'

Isiris squealed loudly.

The moment the glowing orb was placed on her desk, she threw her pen away and lifted it with both hands.

Without looking at Allen, she rushed by them and stood in front of a large human sized test tube, into which she put the Fragment of the Sun through the top of the tube.

'Let's see now…'

Once she closed the tube, she went to a terminal with many small pipes connected to the tube.

After pressing on the screen, the test tube began to shake and spin rapidly, shaking the liquid inside.

Isiris watched that for a while, and then the termina began to show various geometric patterns.

'I knew it. The test results are all correct. I knew iiiiiitttttttttt!!!'

Isiris shouted loudly as she raised her arms into the air.

No one there dared speak to her.
