Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 111: Coming Back to Village
Chapter 111: Coming Back to Village
Every week, he would go there and collect them, so every week they would get about 350,000 spirit stones, which was a lot more than their needs right now.
For Jiang Hao and Ming Yue, who needed only spirit stones to cultivate, they didn’t have to worry about a shortage anymore.
Jiang Hao and Huan Caiyi came back and explained their setup in detail to Zhi Hui and Ming Yue.
A lot of time had passed. He wondered if by now cultivators of both sects were already at the border of the forbidden zone or not. If they were, then were they searching inside the border too? After all, with so many cultivators, they wouldn’t have to worry much about handling a few territory lords.
Well, even if they did find this mountain, given how strong the array was, it would still take quite a lot of time to break it open. By then, they would easily leave. Not to mention, Senior Huan and Senior Zhi didn’t seem very worried. Maybe it really wasn’t easy to gather so many cultivators in a short time.
He really had no idea how many Heavenly King Realm cultivators these two sects had, so he couldn’t make any assumptions.
He went back to his cave abode and started cultivating again. He needed a lot of spirit stones now to reach the late stage, and it would take time to refine them.
They had everything they needed for the time being. With a constant supply of spirit stones, he didn’t even need to go to the city for now.
Time passed, and eventually, he turned eighteen years old.
Even after all those months, they hadn’t encountered any cultivators from either sect. Were they expecting them to believe that they still had the Truth Seeker? After all, this place was hidden from the world. Not to mention, getting any news from inside the forbidden zone was impossible.
Maybe they were already here but staying outside the borders, waiting for them to make a move.
Today, he had come out because he was going to visit his mother. He had promised he would come in two years, so he was going.
The others were still inside their cave abode. They occasionally met over the past few months, at least with Senior Sister Ming Yue, as they practiced the Way of the Sword daily.
He had recently reached the third stage of the sword path, known as Sword Mastery. But after this, advancement would be far more time-consuming than before. Sister Ming Yue had crossed this level just recently, even after training for so many years.
She had trained four years more than him properly in the Way of the Sword. When she was in the Mountain Sword Sect, she didn’t cultivate and only focused on her sword training. Even then, she had just crossed it last month. It was known as the Sword Intent Realm.
He was already at the peak stage of the Core Formation Realm. After reaching the Sword Mastery Realm, he had stopped his sword training to advance quickly in the cultivation realm. This was also the reason he was able to reach the peak of the Core Formation Realm.
The amount of spirit stones required to reach the Soul Sea Realm had increased further. No doubt, his refinement strength had increased, but the amount of spirit stones required had increased far more in comparison.
He shook his head. He had already expected this, so there was no need to frown over it.
He looked toward the dark forest and disappeared. He didn’t tell anyone about this, but there was no need now. He wasn’t? restricted from moving anyway, and among all of them, he was the safest to leave the mountain.
He appeared a thousand miles away and looked around. As expected, within a second, a beast tried to attack him. He wanted to see if he could spot any human cultivators, but he couldn’t see any. But since he was far from the border, it really wasn’t surprising that he hadn’t seen any.
He used constant teleportation and appeared in front of the mountain where Yao Ying was living.
He had mixed feelings about coming here. One part of him wanted to come, and the other didn’t. But in the end, he let go of his inner turmoil and decided to make the visit.
It was better to act as normal as he should, and if one went with normal thoughts, then visiting Fenglai was totally logical for him.
He wasn’t obstructed by the mist, so he directly teleported to the spirit field. No one was there. He moved toward the house, and when he came to the peak, he saw Fenglai sprawled on the ground in front of the house.
It had already reached the peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm.
Spirit beasts took a longer time to grow, so him growing this much was only possible because Yao Ying must have done something.
He shook his head. How much this guy loved sleeping. He couldn’t see Yao Ying. Some part of him felt a little disappointed.
He went and kicked Fenglai.
Fenglai immediately sprang back and looked around before spotting Jiang Hao.
As expected, it tried to tackle him again, but Jiang Hao dodged it.
"I have no intention of buying new robes because of your claws."
"Grrrrhhh..."
Fenglai had grown a little bigger than before.
After playing with it for a little while, he decided to leave. He looked back at the door of the house fleetingly but was stunned to see Yao Ying standing there and looking at him.
He became a little flustered but again forcefully controlled himself and stood up while bowing.
"Thank you, Senior, for taking care of him."
"You don’t have to. He is a good boy. In terms of age, he is younger than even you."
Jiang Hao was surprised but also understood. Spirit beasts lived far longer than human cultivators, especially those with good bloodlines. So in general, Fenglai was definitely younger than him.
Maybe Sister Meiying was truly of his age in the real sense.
"Then I will take my leave, Senior."
Jiang Hao bowed one last time and disappeared. After leaving, he finally sighed. No matter how hard he tried, it was hard to control emotion.
If he had stayed a little longer, his façade of calmness might have broken.
After traveling through the dark forest via teleportation, he reached the valley where Fenglai used to live. He had marked it before.
After traversing through mountains and capturing Qi Refinement Realm spirit beasts which were at Stage 1 for the villagers, he made his way into the village normally.
When some villagers saw someone entering their village while dragging two big mountain goats, they were stunned. But when they clearly saw it was Jiang Hao, they all became happy.
They all knew he was following an immortal as a follower, so they weren’t surprised at him getting his hands on such big beasts.
They were also happy that he was able to visit them again. After talking with them for some time and handing both goats to them for preparation, he went to his house.
The gate was open. He entered while hiding his footsteps.
"Who is it?"
He heard his mother’s voice. She seemed to be washing utensils.
"Mother, it’s me."
There was immediate silence before she came out hurriedly after washing her hands.
There were tears of joy in her eyes, and without saying anything, she took him in her arms. Jiang Hao also felt totally calm and peaceful in her embrace.
After that, they had a long chat with each other. He just listened to her more than saying anything.
She was doing fine on her own. There was no shortage of food as they had a small farm behind their home, which produced enough vegetables and grain for one person.
Normal vegetables grew fast in a spirit qi-influenced environment, so for one person, there would always be something to eat.
Jiang Hao thought otherwise though—only vegetables weren’t good enough for her.
He had to do something about it.
After their long talk and celebration in the village, everyone fell asleep. And after letting his mother sleep, Jiang Hao came out of the village.
After seeing Senior Huan using blood contracts to command spirit beasts to mine the spirit mine, he had thought of something similar.
His mother was a mortal. She was about forty years old. At most, she would live sixty more years, so he had planned to capture a spirit beast which could hunt Stage 1 Qi Refinement spirit beasts and deliver them to her every day and also keep an eye on the village in case of emergency.
Sixty years was nothing for a spirit beast, and he would provide it with enough resources for it to gladly accept the offer.
Although he didn’t like blood contracts in general, using them as a transaction agreed upon by the beast wasn’t bad. Well, he would definitely threaten it to sign the pact. That much, he was willing to do for his mother.
It was also said that once the blood contract was signed, you could communicate with each other even from far distances. So if anything happened in the village in the future, he could always teleport her away immediately.
This would put his mind at ease far more than just making the Truth Seeker ineffective.
He had decided to capture a Grade 3 beast. It would become the king of this mountain range easily, as this range mainly consisted of Qi Refinement beasts along with some weak Foundation Establishment ones.
He disappeared and went into the dark forest to capture one.
