Healing System-Chapter 292: Arriving At The Front Lines
For someone with such massive honkers, Michael thought she would act like some boss woman.
But surprisingly, she was pretty nice—at a glance, anyway.
"Nice to meet you too, I'm Michael." He accepted her handshake, and so did the rest of the girls.
Each introduced herself in the same manner until, eventually, they were seated right in front of Lila.
"Alright, everyone, I'm sure you've gotten the basic rundown, correct?" Lila asked.
"We were told we would be eliminating pests—that's about it," Michael explained, earning a nod from her in response.
"That's the gist of it. Though the pests are a bit out of control now."
What? Did they turn into super rats? Michael pondered, a shiver going down his spine.
But before he could have any more stupid thoughts, Lila interjected.
"We have some low-level demons on board, and we need your assistance with eliminating them."
"Demons? Also, you need our help?" Michael tilted his head. "You do realize we're much, much weaker than you are. You could probably scout the entire planet, kill them, and not even miss lunch."
"That's nice of you to say. However, there's a treaty where we can't get involved," Lila explained. "You see, demons and angels have long been enemies, but at some point, the demons began overwhelming us. Therefore, we signed a peace treaty."
"A peace treaty with the demons doesn't sound like a very bright idea," Michael commented, earning a giggle from her in response.
"It wasn't. The demons are constantly testing our borders, but that's at the lower levels. In the higher levels, if I were to intervene, then I'd be killed by one of the demons' higher-ups."
"That's stupid," Michael exclaimed with a sigh. "You want us to deal with the lower-level demons so you don't get in trouble—is that it?"
"Yes," Lila replied bluntly. "I would kill those that are of similar rank to me, but these ones are mere Tier 3's—something I can swat away like a fly, basically."
"Confident," Michael chuckled. "So where do we go?"
He was definitely happy the assignment steered in this direction, as he would simply hate staying there for extended periods of time, actually cleaning up the pest problem.
Lila ran him down on the details, with the girls beside him noting some important stuff down.
Frankly, Michael was a bit obsessed with her chest.
Do all angels have such big chests?
[Yes.] The system added before falling silent, making Michael raise a brow.
Look who decided to show up—Mister "I'll close the binds, have fun."
[Who knew you'd be doing it the entire fucking night,] the system grumbled. [If anything, I believe I should castrate you so you don't get anyone pregnant.]
No thanks, I'd like to keep my dignity, Michael replied with a chuckle, as finally, the explanations concluded.
In essence, this city had a front line where it fought against demons, and that was where they should provide their assistance.
Of course, in any unforeseen situations, Lila would step in.
"You may go now," Lila announced, waving them off.
But just as they were about to leave, she stood up and tapped on the table, gathering their attention.
"One more thing before I forget. There's a faction called the Evangelists roaming this world—I believe they might be colluding with the demons."
Michael's brows furrowed. On the other hand, the girls didn't even understand what Lila had meant.
For them, it just sounded like any ordinary cultist group.
Which it wasn't.
It was the biggest cultist group in the universe, and if anything, the people leading it had to go.
Before I ascend to godhood, I need to eliminate that organization—both for myself and for Rebecca.
After all, she was still like a mother to him, and since Reinhardt was the one responsible for doing what he did, naturally, Michael would seek some form of vengeance.
Nonetheless, they left the headquarters and were escorted out.
This time, they didn't go through a sewer but instead a telephone booth, which worked as an elevator.
It was pretty fancy but, at the same time, very cramped.
Though he couldn't say he minded the breasts of four girls squishing him.

Ahem... Michael took a deep breath as he opened the telephone booth and took in the fresh air of this city of Aldrossa.
There were many alien-like beings running around, but since it was their home planet, Michael didn't bother anyone.
Though there was one particular person who had caught him a bit off guard.
It was the child from earlier—the one carrying his big-ass rat around, looking for healers.
Michael had a guilty conscience. Therefore, he stretched out his mana and enveloped the rat, jolting it awake.
He still had some superior healing properties from before he died, so it was easy to revive someone.
But the system was a little shocked.
[You keep surprising me with the stuff you do. Just what happened?]
As I said, I'm built differently, Michael commented, as the kid with the rat beamed in happiness.
A small smile appeared on Michael's face as he made his way to the front lines.
Along the way, however, the girls didn't stop bothering him.
Specifically, Celeste.
"Michael, did you see that ice cream stand? It was massive!" Celeste yelled in amazement.
It sounded like she was some girl who had never seen the outside world before.
But that couldn't be the case.
Could it?
"Celeste, do you want some ice cream?" Michael offered before inwardly facepalming.
For a moment, he forgot he was broke.
But despite that, watching her nod aggressively, he couldn't help but take a quick detour to the ice cream stand.
The rest of the girls seemed equally as intrigued, and to be honest, he now felt a bit pressured.
Where would he get the money from? He obviously couldn't pay for it.
"Can I get a mint-flavored one?" Rose asked, her previous arrogant nature seemingly gone.
"I'll get a strawberry," Celina said absentmindedly, and the same went for Celeste.
"Me too—I want strawberry too!"
Michael's smile twitched as he turned toward Maya.
"You?"
She looked back at him, her face showing a mix of boredom and happiness.
It was a weird expression to describe, but that was what he felt when looking at her.
"Vanilla," Maya stated absentmindedly, and with that, Michael approached the ice cream stand alone and said the orders.
"Will that be all?" the alien receptionist asked, eyeing him suspiciously.
"That's it, yep," Michael replied with a smile.
"15,888 Alora," the alien stated, holding out its hand.
Michael cleared his throat before manifesting mana.
He made sure to hold the basic properties of gold while combining it with titanium until, eventually, a block of both ores formed and dropped onto the ice cream stand.
"Do you take this as payment?" Michael asked, unsure.
Naturally, ores were definitely no currency.
But if this alien were to resell them, then it would be rich.
"I-I-Is that adamantium!?" the alien asked in shock. "I'll take it! Everything! You may have my whole shop if you want to! Please!"
Michael's brow rose as he decided to simply hand over the ore without stealing the man's shop.
After all, that ore would dissolve itself within a few days.
Well, unless the man could pawn it off somewhere.
But that was not Michael's concern, as he truly did not care much about the people or what happened to them.
Despite that, Michael made sure that each time the ore got passed around, its duration refreshed.
Therefore, unless the receptionist decided to keep it to himself, then he would not be in trouble.
If anything, he might've accidentally made this alien the richest on the planet.
Nonetheless, with the girls satisfied and Michael a bit startled, they headed toward the front lines—this time, a bit faster.
But only then did they notice how massive the city was. Even after several minutes of walking, it seemed like they hadn't left the central plaza.
He would fly, and that would definitely speed up his pace.
However, if he did, then the girls' smiles would go to waste.
After all, despite him not having much trouble with demons—or any being, for that matter—the girls had likely not fought before.
Therefore, he held his impatience back until, eventually—or more like, six hours later—they arrived.
It was the city's wall, and half of it was broken down.
Of course, not a single demon went through, as they would immediately be killed by the guards of this city.
But that didn't mean much, as the city had now become very prone to invasions.
And with that, Michael stepped forward, climbed the rubble, and was met with an alien dressed in a fancy suit of armor.
"Oh? Are you the backup?" the alien asked.
"We are, yes," Michael assured, as the girls all made their way through the rubble as well.
"Great," the alien nodded, a smile forming on its tired face.
"Let me give you a quick rundown of the situation..."
