He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 555. Deductions
The imperial sector of the Sacred Corrugation Imperial Empire was completely normal.
Everything was happening like it would on any normal day.
A young man with enigmatic abyss-like eyes observed everything from a villa with a calm expression.
"Too calm." Kailen squinted his eyes. This kind of calmness was unsettling. Something bad was about to happen.
He was still stalking for the appearance of the mysterious power behind the poison. Based on his speculation, his interference had ruined a lot of their plans.
"Think, Kailen, think," Kailen mused. "If I were the enemy, why would I do what they did? And what would have happened had I not interfered?"
His eyes glinted. "To slowly kill the emperor, empress, and crown prince in a way that will not alert the old monsters behind the imperial clan and technically the empire, and then take over the empire after the emperor, the empress, and the crown prince dies. But the question is, what would I have done about the old monsters if I were the enemy?"
He sighed deeply, thoughts churning. "Even if they were to take over the Empire after the death of the emperor, the empress, and the crown prince, what’s the possibility that the old monsters would not emerge from seclusion at any time to deal with them?"
Kailen’s eyes narrowed deeply. "Unless, if I were the enemy, I’d have a way to increase my power so quickly to kill the old monsters right after taking over the empire. But how will they increase their power so quickly, and what will they use to do so?"
Kailen leaned back in his sofa. "Shit." Realization dawned on him. "Vimodials. If the enemy power are vimodials, it all makes sense now. Take over the imperial sector, absorb the lifeforce of everyone in the imperial sector, become strong enough to deal with the old monsters of the imperial clan. Then, with no one standing in the way, they’d plunder the lifeforce of all lifeforms and planetary cores in the empire to improve their strength further. Since they are wary of the powerhouses behind the empire, my suspicion as the powerhouses of these organisations are at the supreme stage dao level, but probably at rank 1."
Kailen furthered, "Anyway, this was most likely the initial plan of the enemy before I intervened, that’s if I’m not missing anything concerning the possible train of thought of the enemy.
To think a single act of mine would ruin so many plans. But it seems I’m in some sort of deep shit. Now that their covert plan has failed, they will definitely attempt an open assault on the Imperial Sector. Usually, this is where I bolt back to the academy. After all, I don’t give a fuck about this empire, but I can’t because of the mission.
I need to inform the Emperor. If possible..."
A glint flashed through Kailen’s eyes. He could not fight this enemy that was definitely about to strike with brute force. He needed the emperor’s help.
Kailen informed the emperor about his theoretical deductions.
He made the emperor aware that these were just his speculations. However, if any of these speculations were true, then the empire had to prepare.
"What do you need, Black Flask?"
The emperor said.
"I just need you to try and contact the old monsters behind the empire. Let them know the situation, from what happened to the crown prince to what I have told you," Kailen said.
"I see. It won’t be easy trying to get even one of them to come out of seclusion. But I will make it happen. However, it will take a while. When do you suspect the enemy will strike?"
The emperor asked Kailen. He was in deep thought.
"I’m sure they are already on their way here," Kailen said.
"Then, I will mobilize the war council secretly. We will set traps and lay ambushes for them. With your help, we can stall for time till father and some ancestors are reached and they can come out of seclusion to deal with them," the emperor said.
"That’s the key of the plan. Stalling for time and moving covertly," Kailen said. "If they know we’ve caught on, they can develop countermeasures easily. The element of surprise is key."
He sighed. What the hell had the academy’s mission gotten him into?
He was on the same page to eliminate the vimodials, since they were a threat to his loved ones and himself, but he would not have put himself in an inconveniencing position as this, going against opponents above his pay grade. If not for the academy mission, he would have left the empire.
Oblivious to Kailen’s thoughts, the emperor said,
"If it’s possible, we will leave the command of the battle to you."
Kailen shook his head. "Not necessary, your Majesty. I will act independently. I have my methods to stall for time. Let the troupes use their methods too."
Kailen was not one to like working with others.
Plus, commanding his army of shadow creatures was far more convenient and easy than commanding men. Also, with the kind of tactics he had in mind, using empire troupes would slow him down. The empire troupes could stall for time their own way. He would use his own methods.
The emperor nodded in understanding. Communicating with Kailen was like communicating with a fellow emperor, an old monster even. The young man seemed far too experienced. Was he really a young man who had just stepped on the path of cultivation for a few years?
As Kailen left, he sighed deeply.
"What a terrifying young man. To think he’d discover all this by himself. Although he said it’s just speculation, my years of experience dealing with people tells me that he’s right."
A worried expression appeared on his face.
"Vimodials. The empire is in real trouble."
A resolute expression replaced the one of worry on his face.
"Summon the war council, secretly."
His words travelled into the surrounding void.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
