He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 533. Alchemy Society Registration 1
Almost 2 weeks passed in a moment.
Kailen opened his eyes. A glint flashed through them. Kailen had broken through the rank 3 beginner stage Dao level.
"Not too much of an improvement but, we will manage." If anyone heard him say his breakthrough speed was slow, they’d slap him to death.
"It’s time to register in the runesmith and alchemy societies. Tomorrow is my first mission, since it will be two weeks since I arrived. I don’t know for how long I’ll be gone," Kailen mused inwardly.
"I should register in these two societies before I leave. As for the combat society, every student is automatically a member, so there’s no need to register."
Kailen stepped out of his villa.
Using the map details of the academy, he rounded several places. Finally, he went through a teleportation gate that led him to the Alchemy Society.
The alchemy society was a whole planet!
Did this mean that all the secondary Carrier societies were planets on their own? Certainly!
Kailen almost gasped at this. As expected of an Academy Established by the Universe Alliance.
Pushing these thoughts to the back of his mind, Kailen headed towards the registration district of the Alchemy Society.
The district was very lively. Alchemists could be seen having various conversations with one another all over the place. Some beamed smiles, some eyes flashed with disguised hatred.
Killings were not happening here like various places. But there were signs of occasional bullying for the alchemical products and ingredients of weaker students.
Kailen knew that unlike the Combat Society, where there were many unrestricted places and killings could occur everywhere, the Secondary Carrier societies had restricted places where one could not just kill anyone even if they wanted to.
These restricted places were laboratories, registration halls, lounges, walkways, and shops. If one wanted to kill someone, one could just beat them up and drag them to a combat arena and finish things with them there.
The beating part was a loophole many exploited to their advantage. Just because they could not kill people anywhere they liked, did not mean that they could not beat them up, right?
Kailen sighed and shook his head. This academy really was the living embodiment of the law of the jungle, dog eat dog world mindset. The academy was very brutal. It seemed the higher ups wanted to use this environment to stimulate students to grow stronger, and to prepare their minds for the ruthless nature of the universe. At the same time, they were operating with this mindset: if you were too weak to survive in the academy, you could not survive in the universe. Those who died before graduating were simply not fit to be elites of the elites.
A perfect environment for his growth.
Kailen did not encounter any arrogant young masters or jade beauties as he strolled through the registration district. However, several gazes were directed towards him occasionally. He was not the only one who received these gazes anyway. These kinds of gazes always happened anywhere in the academy. Students were always sizing up one another and gauging whether or not they could take advantage of those weaker than them, or ally with someone strong and ride on their coattails.
Finally, Kailen entered one of the registration buildings.
A human staff member was lazily seated across the counter.
He yawned the moment he saw Kailen and spoke casually.
"Come closer, please." Kailen nodded and drew nearer to the counter.
Some sort of scanning device scanned Kailen’s forehead. His details were noted.
"Oh, a special slot student?" His eyes narrowed slightly with intrigue. These special slot students were never normal. Other staff members and students in the hall gave Kailen curious glances.
"We have another special slot student taking the society registration trial. She is also a Black Flask Alchemist like yourself." The man’s casual demeanor shifted into a formal, professional one. This time, he sent a thought transmission to Kailen. This student seemed low-key, he thought. Better to not expose him.
The special recruitment student before him was too abnormal, based on the information he had scanned about the student. He had even mastered the fucking law of space. This kid was a future powerhouse, if he managed to survive the Academy’s ruthless environment.
Kailen nodded. Why was the fellow telling him this? He just wanted to register and move to the runesmith society to register. After that, he’d head back to prepare for his mission tomorrow.
The man seemed to realize Kailen had no interest in what he had just said. He simply proceeded to tell Kailen what to do next. "Make a rank 4 alchemical product of your choice. After that, your product will be confirmed by an appraisal artifact. Then, you will be officially registered as a rank 4 alchemist directly into the Secondary Carrier Alliance database and as an official member of the Alchemy Society. Take lab 462."
Kailen simply nodded.
As he headed towards the particular room, some students who had come to register themselves as Alchemy Society members couldn’t help but whisper.
"He’s here to register?"
"Interesting."
"I wonder how skilled he could be!"
"Those special slot students are not normal!"
"Indeed. There’s actually another one of them inside"
"Yeah, let’s observe the outcome. And try to befriend them after their registration."
"Good idea. Connections are necessary. If they are very skilled, they could help us sharpen our alchemical skills. If they try to object, some of us older students could teach them a lesson to make them do so."
"Hehe, nothing a few bullying rounds cannot do."
Kailen ignored them and headed inside the room.
The moment he entered the lab, he glanced quickly across the alchemical ingredients in the room. There was an alchemical cauldron inside.
Kailen did not need to make use of the cauldron and the alchemical ingredients in the room.
A couple of alchemical ingredients appeared from his storage ring. These were from the pocket world.
The infinite alchemy flames appeared before him.
