Kailen saw them,engaged in chatter. The Harkers, the mother and daughter. He had read about them. He recognized a few other influential persons from their clan. The auras they radiated was the only proof needed to tell that these ones boasted ridiculous strength,however he was not perturbed.

He was here to cause trouble ,and dissapear . The main reason why he had attended this gathering was simple, to humiliate the Harkers,and dissapear before any of them attempted anything stupid against him.

Kailen stared at Cyrus for a second ,his heart boiling with rage, however his facial expression was unreadable.

" Not now. The time will come" His gaze flickered on Bryce,his cousin for a split second.

" So he’s the useless son? I doubt . This guy ,there’s more to him than meets the eye. He’s dangerous "

Noting a few more persons he had done small research about ,he watched calmly,as the Harkers approached him.

Kailen was a proud person, extremely proud,one whose pride was ingrained deeply in his bones.

He was not the kind to cause trouble for those who did not cause trouble for him.

However ,the Harkers had stupidly rubbed him off the wrong way, thinking he was easy to bully.

" These bastards also want to use me to slap the Darkhavens in the face. Little do they know that Cyrus is the most likely person to have leaked the information about my lack of affiliation to the Darkhaven family. He probably did that to put several targets on my back- that way, tracing to the source of whoever manages to get rid of me will be extremely difficult. Kailen chuckled ,as he stood up, his voice filled with sarcasm, his gaze full of contempt.

The crowd revealed astonished expressions. This kid,had guts.

The other person,his daughter was a rank 3 beginner stage ascendant lifeform. He was no match for any of these two people,and yet he dared to talk to them without backing down.

Cyrus revealed a thrilled expression, alongside his wife .

Things were going the way he had planned them to play out.

" You wanted to handle things from here right, handle him" Francisca sent a thought transmission to her daughter ,excusing herself from the scene,observing from the side.

Zane nodded ,choosing to act according to her plan . As for why Bryce had told her,she found it completely absurd.

Inasmuch as she was wondering how he had found out about her plan, she refused to believe Kailen was a threat.

" Everyone here knows we are out for you, Darkhaven .

Even your own family despises you, so why should I pretend to be courteous towards you. Look around,everyone here is either seeing you as a source of entertainment , or an asset to pull to ther side. Do you seriously think that even if the Harkers let you go today, your life will be peaceful, even with President Ha ,sheltering you?"

Zane amplified her voice, as her aura plummeted down towards Kailen .

Her killing intent intensified ,bearing down on the young man still seated comfortably in the plush arm chair.

Everyone saw the unconcerned , non chalent expression on his face .

He seemed completely unaffected by the lady’s aura .

He sighed , then finally moved.

No words,no reply , no statements.

However before she fell, she managed to stabilize herself, regaining her footing.

Zane heaved a sigh of relief, staring at her chest region where the slap had landed.

Zane cursed , having donned an armor in a split moment before the slap landed on her . Otherwise, the consequences of Kailen’s slap would have been dire. She would have probably been naked in front of all these people. Sure,she would have donend something to cover her chest quickly. But everyone gathered here was an awakener with quick reflexes such as eyesight. Her melons would have still been seen by them before she even had the chance to cover them. She would have lost her dignity!

Her mother , and several other clan authorities, shocked at the crazy absurdity they had just witnessed ,wanted to intervene, killing intent flashing through their eyes , however Zane gestured for them to stand back.

" I’ll handle him on my own"

The crowd shared different expressions as they processed what they had just witnessed.

Kailen however , was standing in the middle of the hall with all eyes on him,waiting for Zane to attack him.

He only needed to use his shadow creatures as a a shadow armor against rank 5 beginner stage Ascendant lifeforms- proven from his battle with Jackson ,who had limited his strength to the rank 5 beginner stage Ascendant level during their battle.

Kailen and Zane clashed in the hall several times.

Kailen’s movements were unpredictable and incoporal . He seemed almost ethereal- flashing in and out of the battlefield, his long coat fluttering in the wind.

With each clash , a blow , A kick,

would land on Zane.

Zane ,finally having enough of the humiliation , with flames flickering around her figure shot a ginormous phoenix towards Kailen .

Comparing the conditions of the two, everyone realised that Zane was in a pitiful state .

However Kailen didn’t even have a scratch on him.

This young man was extremely powerful.

The temperature seemed to soar to higher heights, as the phoenix made of flames shot towards Kailen.

With a calm expression on his pale handsome face, the shadow affinity user muttered .

Right fingure raised up.

Lightning energy flickered ,sizzling to life.

The atmosphere churned .
