Bryce swallowed a couple of saliva when he saw the fanatic expression on his mum’s face . Why was the person always supporting his lazying around, partying and womanizing suddenly suggesting something of this sort?

" This is actually why I summoned you. It’s also the reason why I asked if you had heard about Kailen Darkhaven. You have to enroll in the Astral Empire Academy and overshadow him. Use him as a stepping stone to rise. I have plans of getting rid of him though. But not openly. He now has the backing of the Alchemy Association. It’s not gonna be easy to get rid of him"

Bryce sighed . " I guess it’s time for me to stop lazying around. Life has been pretty much boring for me anyway. I will enroll in the Academy. Also,nice tactics dad. Leaking the information about him. Now he’s been targeted by the influential families. I even heard the Harkers are planning on getting the special flame he used in conjuring that pill from him ,using any means necessary"

Both parents asked at the same time surprised at their son’s sudden change in demeanor.

Bryce chuckled " Samantha and Cyrus, let me tell you something. There are benefits to being a womanizer and frequenting pleasure houses. You get to hear things you don’t hear in normal places"

Bryce sighed as he thought inwardly to himself . "What a hassle.

Now I have to get serious. The only reason why I was acting weak was because I didn’t want any target on my back. If people thought I was a useless son who only sleeps around with women and parties all the time, I won’t be dragged into all this noble politics and drama. But I guess I had a wake up call recently due to all the nonsense about that brat being better than him. Only for things to turn out this way"

Cyrus nodded " Well, let’s see how things play out.

Also, our son may not even have to get rid of this Kailen. After all , the Harkers are getting involved with him . Those fire affinity fanatics, are not to be messed with"
