HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 268: Telling the Truth Kinda
The steam in the bathhouse hung like a veil, wrapping around Adam and Priscilla in a world of their own, the lavender-scented air thick and comforting.
As offered up a soothing atmosphere for the mind unravel and relax.
The water lapped gently against the edges, a soft rhythm that echoed the steady beat of Adam's heart as Priscilla's small hands moved across his back.
Her touch was firm, but gentle, it felt really nice to be honest, as the wet cloth began gliding over his skin with care and love alike.
It was an intimate gesture to say the least, this moment, her petite form pressed close behind him, her breath warm on his neck as she worked herself.
Adam leaned forward slightly, his arms resting on his knees, the hot water soothing the knots from a day full of classroom stares and vampire drama.
"This is nice."
He murmured, his voice low and genuine, a rare admission in the quiet space.
Priscilla paused for a heartbeat, her hands stilling on his shoulders. A small smile tugged at her lips, hidden from his view but softening her ruby eyes.
"Tch, don't get used to it, you boy."
She said, her tone light despite the flush creeping up her neck.
"I'm just being practical here. Can't have you stinking up our date tonight."
But there was warmth in her words, a sisterly affection that cut through her usual bluster, and she resumed her scrubbing with a gentle insistence.
She worked in silence for a moment, the cloth tracing the lines of his muscles, but the quiet felt heavy, charged with a subtle but obviously and ever present awkwardness that begged to be broken.
"Lift your arms."
She said finally, her voice a touch firmer, as if commanding a child. Adam complied, raising them without protest, feeling the cloth dip under, wiping away the day's sweat with surprising tenderness.
Priscilla's fingers brushed his skin, and he could sense her desire, a desire of wanting a asked a question, what gave it away more despite his natrual ability to sense desires, was the way her breath hitched slightly.
And the came the honestly in shape of curiosity.
"So boy, entertain my curiosity for bit here."
She said, her tone casual but probing.
And Adam merley replied back by saying.
"Go ahead, and your question, I am all ears."
"Mhmm... So um!... What are you planning to do after you graduate from this stupid human school if you don't mind me asking of course, you don't need to answer if you don't feel up to the task, naturally speaking of course."
Adam chuckled, the sound rumbling through his chest, but his mind drifted to the storm clouds gathering on the horizon.
The Demonic invasion loomed like a shadow over the Human World, a war that would spill blood across realms if not stopped.
"Well."
He said, his voice steady but full with the entire brunt of the weight of the future to come, and to be honest it irk him so just thinking about it.
But nevertheless he began to voice his thoughts, expressing his feelings to Priscilla.
"...First things first, I've gotta prepare for the demonic war. The demons aren't gonna wait for me to get my diploma that much is certain, and as the day's go by, they get one step closer to their objectives. As such I will head back to the kingdom, rally the Sidhe for war. After all, as their king, it is my job to get them ready, fortify the borders, train the warriors, make sure we're not caught with our pants down when Asmodeus and Vileth make their move, and bring hell on earth to the world quite literally."
Priscilla's hands slowed, the cloth pausing midway down his side. She knew the stakes, she herself had lived through eons see conflicts that is pure madness, but hearing him lay it out so plainly stirred something in her.
"And after that?"
She pressed on, her voice quieter now, the steam seeming to muffle the world outside.
Adam sighed, leaning back a fraction, careful not to jostle her.
"I'll dive deeper into the Monster World, like into the really dangerous parts of it, the forbidden zones ad you like to call them. All in attempts to recruit more stronger and older monsters into the fold, build an army that can stand against them. Then… we cross the voids with my subjects, wage all-out war on Vileth and Asmodeus, bring the war to them basically. The other Monster Lords might turn a blind eye to those two, since they've got their own beef with the Overlord of Mankind."
"But you have to understand, this is Nyx home that is being targeted here, that might not move them, but it sure as hell move me. But I can't sit back and watch the demons destroy all this either. This is Nyx's world, our home in a way. Mass extinctions like what Vileth is planning? It'll screw the entire Astrum Field, disrupt the balance, poison the order that keeps everything spinning. And she won't stop here, either, the Human World is just the weakest link, the starting point. She'll hop realms, stealing <Setting Powers> from leaders, powering up until she purges all life from existence. By the time it hits the Monster World, she'll be unstoppable, even for the Lords in their near-omnipotent domains."
Priscilla's eyes widened, the cloth slipping from her fingers into the water with a soft plop. The mansion trembled faintly, a distant creak echoing through the walls as her aura leaked, a subtle pulse of power that made the steam swirl.
"You talk like you've seen it yourself."
She said, her voice a whisper edged with dread, her small hands gripping his shoulders now, nails digging in just enough to ground him.
Adam chuckled, but it was hollow, a sound that didn't reach his eyes.
"I have."
He admitted, turning his head slightly to glance at her over his shoulder.
She stopped washing entirely, her hands freezing on his back as she leaned forward, her ruby eyes searching his face.
"You saw the future again? In your dreams?"
He nodded, the water rippling with the movement.
"Yeah... And it's a shitty one, Pris but I got my revenge by banning her to the Netherspace. But it doesn't stop the fact that the horrors I have seen and experience is truly mind boggling."
Priscilla's breath caught, her tsundere facade cracking as genuine worry flooded her expression.
She pulled back slightly, the water sloshing around her, but her voice was steady when she asked.
"What happens? Tell me everything."
Adam took a deep breath, the steam filling his lungs as he stared at the marble wall, the memories or visions, playing out like a nightmare he couldn't shake.
"Vileth's powers… they're insidious, Pris. She doesn't just dominate the mind of others; she also corrupts the world around her. In the dream, she takes control of me when I try to stop her. Twists my mind, to force me to turn on everyone, you, Minerva, Rakasha, the others. I kill them all, by my hands drenched in blood I can't even wash off the memory. And then… she makes me…
His voice faltered, a rare crack in his armor, his fists clenching beneath the water.
"She forces me to have sex with her. As a result, force me to give births to many Dark Spawns, my own children that flooded creation, bringing havoc across all worlds. Omni-genocide under the banner of the red Moon, everything wiped out, realms collapsing one by one. And when there's nothing left, they invade other distinct realities across the Yggdrasil, spreading like a plague that never ends."
The mansion shook harder now, the water in the pool rippling violently as Priscilla's aura surged, her ruby eyes blazing with a fury that made the air vibrate.
She stood abruptly, water cascading off her small frame, her hands trembling at her sides.
"You did the right thing, sending that bitch to Netherspace."
She hissed, her voice low and dangerous, the steam parting around her like a storm.
"But it won't kill her. She is too damn resilient. We need a plan, Adam. A real one. We can't let that future happen."
Adam turned to face her, his golden eyes meeting hers, calm despite the chaos she radiated.
"I could probably kill her."
He said quietly.
"If I open the other gates of Typhon, and become the Monster God. So far, I've got two gates unlocked, the first and the second of seven. But I haven't really focused on them, haven't delved into what they offer."
"As things stand, I might have to pour everything into that, in order to become the next Typhon, the Progenitor of all Monsters, father of the Void, bringer of Chaos. Only then could I stand a chance against Vileth and Asmodeus."
Priscilla's aura calmed slightly, the shaking subsiding as she sank back into the water, her expression a mix of determination and sorrow.
She reached out, her small hand resting on his arm, a rare gesture of openness.
"Adam, for now just wait, I will figure out a plan to kill that bitch."
