Has Big Shot Fallen in Love Today?-Chapter 855: No Hurt Without Comparison
Cheng Lichuan and Wang Sisi watched an exceptionally good movie, following along with the plot throughout the entire experience.
They experienced the emotional journey with Yan Zi’s every step of success, their feelings changing little by little, until the very end.
Midway through, Cheng Lichuan hardly lost focus.
Yan Zi’s character—chatty, cheerful, slightly obsessive-compulsive—occasionally provoked laughter. It’s a kind of serious humor, not overly slapstick.
The whole story is heartwarming.
When Cheng Lichuan thought the girl from the lab would trip Yan Zi up during her first competition, it turned out she helped Yan Zi instead.
When Cheng Lichuan thought the professor would claim Yan Zi’s paper as his own, it wasn’t the case; the professor simply used his status to publish Yan Zi’s paper in a better journal.
When Cheng Lichuan thought Yan Zi would feel self-pity due to her disability, Yan Zi raised her voice, "I’m just like you," and all her classmates stood up to cheer for her.
Throughout the movie, there were moments that brought tears to one’s eyes, not out of sadness, but because of the moving impact.
This kind of emotional warmth permeated the entire film.
It’s like a United States popcorn movie; the plot is so satisfying, it might be a bit unrealistic, with Yan Zi portrayed too ideally; but the storyline is well-crafted and justified.
No wonder the film was a box office hit.
"I want to watch it again," Cheng Lichuan said.
Wang Sisi replied, "I won’t join you this time; I want to go home and watch it with my parents. They always say I don’t take them to the movies, mainly because there’s nothing appropriate for the whole family."
Cheng Lichuan laughed and said, "That’s a great idea, I’ll also invite my parents to watch it. My mom will surely love it."
"Who wouldn’t? Not just parents, I believe kids would surely love it too; Yan Zi is so inspirational," Wang Sisi said.
"She is quite funny, with a bit of a natural, genius-like charm," Cheng Lichuan added.
"Absolutely."
Cheng Lichuan sighed, "I think it might be even better if it were released during the New Year holiday."
"Summer vacation is also good," Wang Sisi commented, "This movie will definitely surpass a billion; it’s the highest-quality film I’ve seen in recent years. The plot and story are both exceptionally exquisite."
"I think so too."
"Also, while watching the movie, it’s hard to connect Yan Zi with Tangtang," Wang Sisi said with a smile, "let alone Zhao Beibei. Watching Tangtang’s movie, there’s no worry about being taken out of the moment."
"Right?" Cheng Lichuan chuckled, "I’ve been telling you, Tangtang is just that amazing. When she plays a role, she becomes that role, never repeats herself."
"Really impressive!"
As they discussed, they left the screening room and realized that Sheng Tang and Gu Jiahui hadn’t shown up yet.
After waiting a bit, Gu Jiahui and Sheng Tang finally emerged.
"Tangtang, you acted so well; this movie is truly a rare high-quality piece," Wang Sisi immediately said, "Absolutely the best-quality movie of the year."
Sheng Tang smiled.
Cheng Lichuan also offered some praise.
Sheng Tang said, "The script was good, and the director was excellent, so it doesn’t have much to do with me."
Cheng Lichuan said she was being modest.
"How was the movie you watched? If it was good, we might check it out too," Cheng Lichuan asked.
Gu Jiahui: "Better not watch it."
When the film was edited, Gu Jiahui didn’t feel it was bad; he thought it was pretty good at the time.
But now, comparing it to online comments, when Gu Jiahui watched the film again, he found it unbearable.
In their screening, it was just him and Sheng Tang, so they discussed it while watching.
Even though Sheng Tang wasn’t the director, she still pointed out many issues that Gu Jiahui wouldn’t notice as an audience member.
Fu Qingcen’s performance also needed to bear responsibility.
