Harry Potter: Dimensional Wizard-Chapter 664: The Empire’s Age of Exploration: Fatima Fatesh’s New Discovery
Chapter 664 - The Empire's Age of Exploration: Fatima Fatesh's New Discovery
"Madam, we have discovered a sign of life," Khadija said.
"Show me," Fatima said as she closed the book [Divinity and the Soul] and put it away. The holographic screen manifested before her, showing a creature that resembled a panther, except it had scales, protruding spikes on its back, and red-gold eyes. The beast seemed to have just hunted another and was enjoying its meal.
"What's its energy level?" Fatima asked.
"Tier 6."
"Any other information from the scan?"
"This creature has the natural ability to hide its information, so besides its energy level, our sensors have not discovered any new information," Khadija explained.
"In that case, send five golems of similar energy level to capture it and bring it to the lab," Fatima ordered. She did not bring a Knight Legion with her because she did not want any unstable factor in her voyage. Although the government's incentive to encourage the use of the Knight Legion was tempting, Fatima was resolute on only using golems because they were more easily controlled.
"As you order," Khadija replied. Fatima then watched as the beast fought the five golems, using the power of shadow. The beasts displayed superb battle capabilities by easily tearing apart the five golems.
"What a terrifying beast," Fatima observed. She did not hesitate to buy the best of the best for her voyage. On top of that, she used her expertise to create the Soul Core of these golems, so she knew how capable they were.
"Send a Tier 6 Golem but use the Shadow Nemesis." The Weasley Corporation is known for two things: children's prank toys and state-of-the-art golems. The Shadow Nemesis's purpose is indicated by its name — it's excellent at dealing with Shadow-based creatures. Before the voyage, Fatima bought every type of golem to prepare for any type of situation, causing her a fortune. It's one of the reasons she was basically broke before receiving the government's compensation and writing all those papers.
Under her order, the Shadow Nemesis deployed. As expected, this battle was one-sided. The golem blocked the creature's Shadow Teleportation and could counter all other abilities like Shadow Puppets and Shadow Tentacles. Then, the golem put the creature into an Energy Sealing Cage before taking him back to the tower.
Fatima stood in the lab, waiting for the preliminary results. It took Khadija more than an hour to scan everything, and Fatima waited patiently. "Madam, this is the report."
Fatima looked at the screen and read everything. Then, her eyes narrowed: "Divine Energy?" She immediately checked again and the answer was the same. The creatures contained a small amount of divine energy, and it was currently theorized that its mutation was a result of the divine energy.
"Immediately put him in an Extractor to take the divine energy," Fatima ordered. "No, let me confirm first." She did not hesitate to enter the creature's Soul Dimension to explore its soul. As expected, Fatima found a small mutation in the soul due to divine energy.
After the confirmation, she immediately extracted the energy from the creature. 'It's extremely diluted and needs purification, but nonetheless, it's divine energy," she muttered with shining eyes. Now she had found what she was searching for, she only had one thing on her mind: how to find more.
However, there were many questions left unanswered: where did this beast acquire the divine energy? Was it the only one? Was there a God in this world? And if so, why did the latter not confront him after her invasion?
Fatima thought about her next move before ordering: "Khadija, enter battle mode. Then, sent all the Sorcerer Eyes to map out this entire plane." Without the Plane Will's restrictions, she could use all the tower's power for a battle. So, the best approach for her situation was to find the Divinity's Source, which is most likely a God, and kill it before taking away all its divine energy to save Rana.
"Madam, I have discovered something."
"Show me a visual feed," Fatima ordered, and the screen showed him something terrifying. An enormous panther creature was sleeping on top of a mountain, and around it was a sea of smaller panther creatures like the one she captured.
"What energy level?" Fatima asked. freewebnσvel.cøm
"Tier 7, but more importantly, we have detected signs of Dark Divinity." Now that Khadija had more information from the previous Shadow Panther, their scans were modified accordingly.
"Are you serious?" Fatima said, suddenly standing up from her chair.
"The data has been verified."
"That would mean a God Corpse is in this plane," she muttered with shining eyes. Many things started making sense with the information. The Empire has done extensive research on God and Divinity, and they've learned even more information after entering the Age of Exploration and coming in contact with other planes in the Astral Realm.
Fatima's main study is soul, followed by Divinity, meaning she had access to the Empire's latest research. One of the studies was about what would happen to a God after death when they have no more believers to facilitate their revival.
One of the answers was the creation of Dark Divinity. In certain circumstances, the resentment of a God will affect its corpse of death, resulting in the creation of Dark Divinity, which is when their divine energy is mutated by the negative energy.
Dark Divinity has two characteristics: spreading and corruption. Once it forms, it will spread to all matter, organic or non-organic, sentient or non-sentient creatures, and corrupt them into dark creatures who only know how to kill or destroy.
"Now, we can deduce what has happened to this plane," Fatima muttered. A god probably arrived in this plane and died, leading to the creation of Dark Divinity. Then, the corruption spread all over the world, turning the creatures into savages who killed each other. The Dark Divinity probably also corrupted the Plane Will, forcing it to accelerate this world's destruction.
Fatima was excited by the thought of acquiring that God Corpse. Most of the divinity should still remain in it, and after she cleans up the creature affected, she will have a complete God Corpse with ample divine energy. Then, her face turned ugly as she remembered one of the research studies she read about.'
An Arcanist from the Chinese Region once proposed the idea that God Corpse was not spreading its divinity simply for the sake of destruction. The ultimate goal is to swallow enough soul and energy to create a new soul for the corpse, thus achieving an alternate form of revival. The new God will be a different one since it will embody death and destruction, but it will still have some remnant memories from the previous soul.
'If that's true, the corpse should have a new soul by now, or at the very least, it's already in the later stage of revival," Fatima thought. That study was not completed, so she did not know whether it was true. But the theory behind the conjecture was sound.
"I can't risk it," Fatima decided. 'There are still creatures who have not been swallowed by the God Corpse, meaning there is still a chance for me.'
Fatima planned her next move carefully. She first sent a team of Extraction Golems to capture a few more Shadow Beasts to study. Then, while Khadija was mapping the world, Fatima focused on studying these creatures' souls and developing a potion that could instantly put them all to sleep.
The process was both easy and challenging. The easy part was the idea. Fatima thought of using Anti-Divine Energy to create a short burst of chaos in their souls, knocking them out. However, the challenging part was formulating the potion from the idea.
It took her more than six months. Luckily, her tower was the highest level, meaning she had a Time Acceleration Enchantment on board. Once everything was prepared, she went on the offensive.
