Harem Startup : The Demon Billionaire is on Vacation-Chapter 649: Without Paying The Price
Chapter 649 – Without Paying The Price
"Was he even this... handsome before?" the brunette asked, eyes narrowing on Lux again.
"He wasn’t ugly," one admitted. "But not like this."
"Definitely not you," someone said, gesturing at Lux. "He didn’t have your energy. That aura. Like..." She exhaled. "Like he didn’t even know what to do with his own skin."
"Which is weird, right?" the elf said. "The Albrechts are rich. Prestigious. One of the old noble finance lines. He should’ve been born dripping confidence."
Lux stayed silent for a beat.
Watching them.
Processing.
He leaned back against the stone again, dripping wet and half glowing under the sun. The perfect blend of demon-blooded menace and casual billionaire charm.
So that was it.
Vincent wasn’t confident with himself.
He had the name. The money. The history.
But not the self-worth. Not the presence.
So instead of owning his own image, he borrowed someone else’s.
Lux’s.
And now Vincent, sweet, awkward Vincent, was going through his rebellious phase.
"But he didn’t want to accept the consequences," Lux murmured aloud.
The girls looked at him.
"This is his rebellion," Lux continued. "His tantrum. Playboy style. Using my name to seduce women, to get what he thinks he deserves. Without paying the price."
"Coward," the elf muttered. "Using you like a shield."
"Like a brand," Lux corrected, eyes narrowing. "And now he’s smearing it."
"But why you?" the tan MILF asked, lounging at the poolside. "Why not some celebrity?"
Lux shrugged. "Because I’m real. Mysterious. New to the city. Quiet enough to be copied but strong enough to make women drop their morals."
"You’re not wrong," she added with a crooked smirk, eyes raking him again.
"He always seemed a bit... off," another said thoughtfully. "Not bad, just... invisible. Like he was tired of being in the background."
"Still," one of them said, voice soft now. "There were good rumors too. I heard he once paid off a maid’s family debt after her son fell ill."
"I heard he writes poetry," said another. "Real poetry. Handwritten."
"Didn’t he sponsor a healing clinic last winter?" the elf asked. "For hybrid kids? Quietly, through one of the side branches?"
"Seriously?" another said. "I thought that was just a rumor."
"He made a good name for himself," Lux admitted, voice calm but edged in something sharper. "He’s not dumb. A man like that? With that family? He can’t afford to tarnish the Albrecht name."
He turned his head slightly, letting the sunlight catch the corner of his smirk.
"So instead... he uses mine. To play around. Ruin hearts. Get his revenge."
The tan elf tilted her head and pouted. "Aw~ That’s so cowardly." She leaned in closer, her voice silk-wrapped. "Do you need me to calm you down, Lux?"
Another woman beside her scoffed. "You already have a husband."
The elf rolled her eyes and tossed her hair back like it was yesterday’s mistake. "Soon to be ex husband. I caught him sleeping with his secretary two weeks ago." She smiled sweetly, eyes gleaming. "I’m suing him for seventy percent of his wealth."
Lux blinked. "Oof."
"I don’t care," she said, shrugging with absolutely no remorse. "So let’s just say I’m single now... which means I can finally have some fun."
Her gaze raked over his chest, still glistening from the water, then lower... slow and lingering. "And you, Lux... you look fun."
Another woman elbowed her. "Oh come on, you’re already plotting his blood type."
The elf smirked and leaned even closer to Lux, brushing her fingertips along his shoulder. Her nails traced his collarbone like she was outlining a property she wanted to buy.
"I just want to... soothe his stress," she whispered, lips nearly brushing his jaw. "He looks so tense. So... overworked. Poor thing. Maybe you need a little vacation? Some personal... care."
"I’m sure you’d offer a full treatment," Lux muttered dryly, glancing at her wandering hand, but not stopping it.
"Mmhmm," she purred. "I specialize in hands on service."
"You’re literally divorced because of that exact line of work," one of the women snorted.
"Hey," the elf shrugged, still half-drapped over Lux. "At least I do it better."
Lux’s smirk curved again. "Tempting." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
The others watched, some amused, others clearly wanting a turn.
Then...
"I thought you went back to the mansion."
The voice came from behind them, light, precise, and unmistakably sharp.
Lux didn’t flinch. His smirk widened.
"Ely," he said, turning.
She stood in a sleek pearl-blue dress, hair tied loosely, eyes narrowed in that delicate way only a woman who saw too much too quickly could manage.
Lux walked over to her, dripping, sin in casual form.
And kissed her.
Right on the lips.
No shame. No hesitation.
Just slow, warm pressure and the kind of kiss that said ’yes, I’m in trouble, but I don’t care.’
Ely blinked, mouth parted slightly. "You—"
"I got bored," he said, brushing her hair behind her ear with lazy fingers. "So I thought I’d come visit."
Her mouth twitched. "You’re causing more chaos than relaxation."
"I’m blending in," he said innocently. "Look... sun, pool, women. It’s practically a treatment plan."
"You left your trunk in the changing room last time you were here. It caused quite a ruckus among my female customers."
Lux glanced back at the tan elf and winked. "See? I’m a repeat customer."
"You promised you’d behave last time. You didn’t."
"Yeah. But at least I paid well."
"This isn’t about money."
"I also paid in charm."
Ely gave him a long stare. "Charm doesn’t pay bills."
Lux leaned in again, nose brushing hers. "But it gets me kisses."
Her lips twitched. "Lux..."
He grinned. "Want one more?"
She narrowed her eyes.
Then grabbed his neck and kissed him back, harder this time. Enough to make the tan elf gasp.
Lux made a satisfied hum in the back of his throat.
The pool ladies stared, momentarily stunned. One of them whispered, "Okay... that was hot."
Ely finally pulled back and sighed. "You’re impossible."
"I’m bored," he said again, holding her waist loosely. "That’s more dangerous than being angry."
"Clearly."
