Harem Startup : The Demon Billionaire is on Vacation-Chapter 568: The Resemblance
Chapter 568 – The Resemblance
He sighed. "Just wake her. Help her, Lullaby. If the hairpin shatters and the link’s lost, then so be it. I’m not risking her soul for a backdoor into a bastard’s spine."
Eros looked over, brows lifted. "Seriously? You’re not going to use her?" he was shocked.
Lux glanced at him. "My Greed brain says yeah. But no. Not this time."
"Why?"
Lux didn’t answer right away. He stepped back, folded his arms, and stared at Azithra like she was something more than a body lying still. "Because if I choose logic every time, I’ll end up like him."
Eros teared up, just slightly, but enough that it cracked the carefully polished smirk he always wore like a shield. His lips parted, voice low and unsteady. "Thank you, Lux. Seriously." He looked down, then back again. "I thought you were gonna use this. Leverage, position, guilt... whatever. I thought..." His breath hitched. "I thought you’d become just like him."
Lullaby smiled faintly, dreamy. "That’s... rare of you, CFO."
He gave her a tired look. "Just do it."
"Fine." She exhaled and shifted onto her knees beside the bed.
With that, she pressed her palms to Azithra’s chest.
The second her skin made contact, the entire room trembled.
A pulse of pink light rolled off Lullaby’s arms, brushing against Azithra like a feather made of desire. Her breath hitched, but she didn’t wake. A low hum filled the space, like violin strings under water, vibrating into skin and bone.
Lux saw it. So did Sira and Ely.
Lullaby was glowing. Not just magic-glow... but soul-glow. Like her own essence was pouring out in slow, sensual waves.
But she was trembling.
Sweat beaded at her temple. Her mouth parted. Her lashes fluttered.
"She’s going too deep," Sira muttered, stepping forward.
"No," Lux said sharply. "Not yet."
Inside the swirl of magic, Lullaby whispered something no one else could hear. Her lips barely moved. Her fingers curled tighter.
And then...
Azithra gasped.
Her body arched.
Her eyes flew open... wide, vivid, full of fire.
The bed jolted. Mana exploded outward like a burst of perfume and heat. Lullaby collapsed backward, completely limp. The pin fell on the flowers in the coffin.
Lux didn’t think.
He moved.
Caught her before she hit the ground.
"Shh. Got you," he whispered, pulling her against his chest.
Lullaby blinked slowly, dazed, dreamy. Her voice was barely a breath. "He didn’t know. I managed to wake her up. He didn’t notice..."
Azithra sat up fast, one hand clutching her throat. Her chest heaved like she hadn’t breathed in days. "I—Where—?"
Eros was already beside her. "You’re safe."
She blinked hard, eyes darting, still foggy. "Eros...?"
"I’m here," he said softly.
Lux held Lullaby like she was made of glass. Her body was hot. Drained. But alive. He tilted his head and brushed her hair back from her temple. "You alright?"
"No," she whispered with a soft smile. "But I’m used to that."
Her skin was damp with sweat. Her breath shallow. Her lashes fluttered like she was still halfway between the dreamworld and this one. Lux cradled her gently, letting her lean into him. Her weight was barely there, like her body wasn’t fully convinced it had returned yet. A small tremor ran through her arms, and he tightened his grip just slightly, grounding her. Her scent still held that sweet, dreamlike perfume she always carried... like soft lullabies and star kissed fruit.
"You did good," he murmured, brushing his thumb along her jaw. "You really woke her."
Then the sound of wet lips and an embarrassingly loud moan shattered whatever soft moment they were having.
"Mmhh—"
Lux blinked.
He turned his head. Slowly. As if dreading what he’d see.
And yeah.
Of course.
Eros was already halfway inside the coffin. His body curled like a predator, and Azithra was sprawled beneath him, her leg hooked over his hip, their mouths fused like two lovers who’d survived the apocalypse.
Tongue. Teeth. Gasping. Groaning.
No, that wasn’t a reunion kiss. That was full-blown "I need you now or I’ll die energy."
"..." Lux blinked again.
Eros growled into the kiss. Growled. Like an animal in heat.
Azithra moaned and gripped his back, fingernails digging in.
Eros’s wings flared and twitched, feathers scattering.
His coat? Gone. Just... gone. Lux had no idea where it went. Maybe it got disintegrated from raw lust. Maybe he just ate it. He wouldn’t be surprised at this point.
Lux cleared his throat. "Eros."
No response.
"Eros, we’re still here."
Eros didn’t even look up. His hand was already traveling down Azithra’s thigh. His hips rolled just slightly. Lux could see the tension in his body building.
Sira groaned and facepalmed. "Unbelievable..."
Ely squeaked and immediately covered her eyes. "I’m not watching— I’m not—"
Then peeked.
Through her fingers.
Like a complete hypocrite.
Sira side-eyed her. "Wow. Brave."
"It’s for investigation," Ely mumbled weakly. "Maybe he’s cursed?"
"His d*ck is cursed," Sira muttered, deadpan.
Azithra’s eyes roamed lazily around the chamber until it finally landed on Lux, still holding Lullaby, hair tousled, expression exasperated.
"Oh... you," she said slowly. "Eros’s cousin. What are you doing here?"
Lux gave a half-hearted wave with his free hand. "Waking you up."
Azithra blinked. "That’s sweet."
Then she moaned as Eros kissed her neck.
"We have guests, love," she whispered to him.
"One round," Eros grunted into her collarbone. "Just give me one round. One quick round. Just a little—"
Sira squinted. "Okay, now I do see the resemblance."
Lux snapped his head toward her. "What?"
"In terms of s*x drive," she said, shrugging. "You’ve said that exact line. To Naomi. To Rava. To Mira. To me."
"I—" Lux opened his mouth. Closed it.
Shit!
He had said that before.
"Hey, I don’t leap into a coffin with my d*ck out the second someone wakes up."
A wet slap noise echoed. Yeah. That was definitely flesh-on-flesh.
"Oh my god," Ely whimpered, still peeking through her fingers. "He’s inside her, isn’t he?"
"No!" Lux said too fast. Then paused. "Maybe? Ugh. I’m not checking."
