Humanity.exe-Chapter 53: The Armory (2)
It didn’t take long for the truck to get loaded up but not all the weapons were out of the armory just yet. We still have quite a bit of weapons to take with us before we are done here.
So I decided to wait behind with Rezex until the other guys get back with the truck.
"Do you think we’ll really be able to ride above Myra?" Rezex asked with curiosity.
"With the proper amount of time and preparation, yes." I answered with confidence.
Rising above them will happen one way or another so I don’t really have that much worry about it right now. We just need to keep building up Kuroten and everything will go as intended.
Every gang has the chance to rise above the rest if they dedicate the time. Just not a lot of them are smart enough to do that in the slightest.
Most are probably comfortable where they are anyway.
Not me, I’d rather be at the top. I’m tired of being at the bottom of the food chain. That’s not really a place I’d like to be at anymore.
"Myra will definitely be quite strong and it’ll definitely be our biggest challenge." Rezex replied while crossing his arms.
"That’s why I believe we’ll be ready by the time we come face to face with them." I said with the same confidence as before.
Not much time passed before the guys returned with the truck to load the rest of the guns into the armory. Of course we helped load the remaining weapons since this is a team effort.
It didn’t take long since this group was plenty for loading weapons into a truck. After that I did one last check on the armory.
I searched it extensively for a few minutes to make sure nothing hidden was inside since people like to hide things. Of course I didn’t find anything so that was the sign that we were done here.
"Let’s get going. Everything is loaded." I said while heading towards the door.
They all gave a nod and got into the truck. It was nice to finally be done at this random building.
"This was quite the haul. I’m glad we made out with so many weapons." One of the guys said with some excitement.
"I agree. We definitely needed them." Another one chimed in.
Rezex pat them both on the shoulder. "Now we have them." Rezex said.
It was nice to see everyone in high spirits since we have a lot of work to get done before we can continue. Unloading the guns into our armor properly is going to be a project as well.
But we made it back to the headquarters without any issues, it wasn’t very far from the weapons cache we found to begin with. Everyone seemed to be unloading the guns here already with help from Reika.
We brought the remaining guns inside from the truck and began helping them with moving the guns into the armory as well.
It was a nice team effort to bring all these guns in, not something I’m really used to still. Even when I was just with Karma it took me quite a bit of getting used to since I only ever had Renji by my side.
We’ll definitely need to get some more jobs going at some point soon.
I haven’t been able to get something good going in quite awhile and it honestly bothers me quite a bit. I’d like to get out there and do something good.
Kill a bunch of guys or wipe out a whole gang again. There’s definitely a lot that can be done with proper planning.
A lot of the gangs around us have problems so it would be best to wipe them out before they become a problem anyway. They won’t be a problem anymore if I wipe them out.
They want me dead and honestly I believe that I want them dead too. None of them have any use to me anyway, especially when they jump to making me an enemy.
Kurogane always had enemies but I didn’t expect them to transfer to me so heavily like they did. Dad really made this path tough for me which is fine.
Easy isn’t for me anyway.
"All the guns are loaded into the armory. We’ll work on sorting them." A member of Kuroten said before walking away.
"We have gotten quite a bit of good members lately." Reika spoke up with a casual tone.
"That we have. I hope to see them all thriving as we continue to expand Kuroten." I responded with a serious tone.
"What exactly will happen when we expand?" Reika asked with some curiosity in her voice.
"We’ll get more captains and such to take over the districts that we expand into." I answered without hesitation.
Kuroten will be taking over the city one district at a time. I’m confident that we’ll have everything we need to do it, then Myra will be the next target to wipe out.
We’ll build up everything and everyone until we become the next big monster of Kairox.
"You definitely have way bigger plans than I ever did with Karma. I respect that. Let’s make Kuroten the biggest gang in Kairox." Reika said with a bit of excitement in her voice.
The rest of the day was spent helping sort out the weapons with the other members of Kuroten. It was boring and quite annoying to be honest but it was worth it.
It showed the gang that I wasn’t the type of boss to sit around and have them do everything on their own.
When we finished everything I went back to my room to get some rest for the night since I believe a storm is brewing.
The gangs around us are definitely getting ready to make some sort of move. I don’t believe silence lasts forever, especially not in this damn city.
A war is definitely brewing.
