Harem Startup : The Demon Billionaire is on Vacation-Chapter 564: Hijacked
Chapter 564 – Hijacked
"Can I brag just a little?" Sira whispered, inching forward again.
Ely exhaled slowly. "I need... a drink. Or a nap. Or maybe both. And possibly therapy."
Lux leaned back and gently rested his arm on her seat headrest, brushing his fingers lightly through her hair. "Too bad. You’re with us now."
Sira giggled. "Welcome to Greed’s inner circle, darling. We don’t sleep. We just scheme."
Ely turned to Lux. "Can I sleep on your chest while I do it?"
Lux blinked.
Then smirked.
Sira raised a brow. "Hah. Look at you, learning how to seduce."
Ely turned red. "I didn’t mean—I just—!"
Lux leaned in slightly. "You can."
Ely froze.
Lux’s voice dropped, low and smooth. "You can sleep wherever you want. As long as you’re mine."
His hand was still on the steering wheel, but his gaze had flicked sideways, only for a second, catching the way her fingers curled near her lap, how her breath hitched just slightly. The atmosphere inside the infernal car turned heavier, like the temperature rose by a few degrees. Or maybe that was just her.
The tinted windows bathed them in a soft crimson hue as they drove, ambient infernal jazz humming from the speakers. Nothing too dramatic. Just low, smoky sax and some distant piano, like the background to a really expensive kind of heartbreak.
Sira leaned her elbow against the backseat, twisting her body so she could smirk lazily at Ely. "So dramatic," she cooed. "You’re lucky he didn’t bite that into a contract."
Lux exhaled. "That’s only if I’m serious."
"You are," Sira said with a shrug. "You just don’t know how to admit it without sounding like a possessive asshole."
Ely blinked. "Wait, wait. We’re not just gonna— pretend that wasn’t loaded as hell?" She rubbed her arms, trying to cool the flustered blush creeping up her neck. "You just said ’mine’ like... like that."
Lux smiled, barely. "Because you are."
His voice was so casual about it. Like claiming countries.
Sira made a fake gagging noise. "Gods. Should I roll the window down? Or is this how I die suffocated by alpha incubus vibes?"
"I’m the CFO," Lux replied flatly. "Not a wolf."
"That’s worse!" Sira laughed. "At least wolves don’t run financial audits on your panties."
Ely covered her face with her hands, half-horrified, half-laughing. "Oh my god, stop."
They laughed.
Yeah. For a moment, everything was warm and stupid and normal again.
Then Sira’s expression shifted. "So," she said, drawing her words out like a question already answered, "I guess that Lylith-lamia thing isn’t a problem for us anymore, right?"
Lux’s smile didn’t reach his eyes this time. His knuckles tightened just slightly on the wheel.
"I’m not sure."
That was it.
Three words.
Heavy. Quiet. Flat.
"She had Zoltarin as her backup," he continued, voice edged now. "What you did... might not even stick. He could reserve it all. Just... snap it back into place."
Sira rolled her eyes and waved a hand. "Please. That’s impossible. Not unless the old bastard gets out of his box."
She grinned. "But him? He’s still stuck. Sealed. Tower-bound. Sure, his soul can float around, whisper through contracts, creep through vault codes and whatnot, but he can’t really do anything. Not directly."
Lux didn’t answer.
Not immediately.
He just stared out through the crimson windshield, watching the road curve along the ridge of an ash-swept canyon. The air outside shimmered with heat.
"I don’t know," he said quietly. "He’s not supposed to be able to do much. But..."
Out of nowhere, the car jerked.
A sudden lurch forward. The seats groaned. The dashboard flickered.
The wheel moved on its own.
"What the fck?" Lux hissed.
Ely’s hand gripped the side handle as the car picked up speed on its own. "Is this... part of the infernal autopilot thing—?"
"No." Lux slammed the brake. Nothing. "No, this is not protocol."
[System Alert: Unauthorized Command Override Detected.]
[Source: External— Soul Code: ZLT-001. Threat Level: Crimson.]
[Infernal Drive System: Compromised.]
[Override In Progress— Lockout Executing.]
"Oh hell no," Lux growled, twisting the wheel as the car refused to respond. "He hijacked it."
The car surged again, like it was being pulled by a leash.
"TechnoGreed."
[TechnoGreed Skill: Reclaim Protocol - Engaged.]
[Hacking in progress...]
[Rebuilding Data Stream: 7%... 13%... 22%...]
The speakers popped.
A laugh slipped through the static.
Low. Smooth. Cruel.
Zoltarin’s voice.
"You made her cry," it purred. "Tsk-tsk, little nephew."
Ely’s blood ran cold.
Sira’s claws came out, literally. Nails turning long and glossy obsidian, her aura flaring sharp.
"You piece of ancient crypt rot," she spat. "You think this scares us?"
Zoltarin’s laugh continued, ignoring her. "This is a warning. That’s all. Just a little turbulence. No fire. No storm. Not yet. I could crush you if I wanted. But no... let’s play nice for now."
The infernal drive pulsed red. The lights blinked.
[System: WARNING. Reboot Initiated By Foreign Authority. Threatening Signal Detected.]
[ERROR: Magic Channels Infected.]
[ERROR: Physical Brake Control Locked.]
Lux muttered something under his breath in old infernal tongue words that tasted like ash and iron and ancient gold.
His eyes narrowed. "Execute Core Reboot. Code: CFO-GREED-V1."
The dashboard burned bright. The glyphs flared up like molten circuitry. The glass cracked slightly from the heat.
[Processing... Counter-Hack Engaged.]
[Overriding Hostile Source... 62%... 84%... 97%...]
Zoltarin’s voice began to distort. "You really are your father’s son..."
Lux snarled, "I’m no one’s fucking son."
[Override Complete.]
[Drive System Restored. TechnoGreed Security Protocol Locked.]
The car slammed to a halt on the roadside, tires screeching, smoke curling from the undercarriage.
Silence.
Ely couldn’t speak. Her breath was caught in her throat.
Sira let out a slow exhale. "Okay. That was new."
Lux wiped his brow. "It’s not gonna be the last."
They sat like that for a moment.
Just breathing.
The road outside was empty. No sign of anyone. No signal. Just hot wind curling through the air vents and the distant buzz of magic flickering out.
Then finally, Ely said quietly, "So... he can do that while sealed?"
"Yeah," Lux said, not looking at her. "Imagine what happens if he gets out."
