Harem app-Chapter 181: Confronting Zack
Chapter 181: Confronting Zack
Third person POV
Okay, tell me what your plan is?" Eva gave up on trying to convince Mina to be reasonable and asked once and for all.
She couldn’t imagine how it would be possible to get revenge on Zack. Mina, on the other hand, had a vague idea of what to do.
"First, can I borrow your cell phone for a moment?" Mina asked.
"Yes," she handed over the device. "But what for?"
Mina quickly began typing and explained, "I’m just calling our insurance, just in case. I couldn’t let you get hurt."
"Our insurance?" ƒreewebɳovel.com
"Yes, the idiot from before. He seems to be influential. By the way, do you know his name?"
"Of course not, and I have no intention of finding out."
"Oh! Come on, you’re so cold! But please, remember my name is..."
Eva took a step back. "When did you show up here? Stalker, pursuer, weirdo!" She began to say, but soon her insults ran out.
"It’s nothing like that, I was just nearby. And you were the one who texted me calling me." He commented in a tearful tone.
"Perfect, you know that guy," Mina pointed at Zack. "Who’s richer, you or him?"
"Ah, the Mattau’s son, I don’t know the size of his parents’ fortune, but I must have more money." He commented without thinking much about the matter.
Then, thinking that perhaps Eva was comparing who was a better candidate to marry, he quickly added more information in a hurry:
"Besides, I heard that he was practically disinherited from his family. They also say that he is a terrible person with anger management issues."
"I know that, and don’t voice your opinion without me asking," Eva vented the anger she felt for Zack on the man, who accepted it with pleasure.
"What we want to know is, can you protect her," Mina pointed to Eva, "from him," she pointed to Zack.
"Did he threaten you in any way? Did he do anything to you?" the man asked worriedly.
"He did, but I’m not going to tell you the story. Now answer the question."
"Yes, I can. If you want, I can arrange for him to be expelled from the show right now." He offered and already took out his cell phone, determined to make it happen at that very moment.
"Perfect," said Mina. "But not yet, you can leave expelling him for later." She said to the masochist and turned to Eva, "how are you feeling? Do you think you could face him today?"
Eva thought for a moment, uncertain. Zack still scared her, but she also wanted to exorcise that fear somehow. So she took a deep breath and said.
"I need to call Liam first." She explained, then Mina handed her back the cell phone.
The boy answered almost immediately, and just hearing his voice made Eva feel better. She debated internally whether or not to tell her boyfriend the whole story, but she preferred not to bother him with even more problems, especially since everything seemed to be under control.
Instead, she just asked in a low voice, "Can you say something to motivate me..." Eva became flustered with embarrassment as she said those words. "Something like you can do it and..."
Hearing this, Liam smiled gently, and even without knowing the full reason, he immediately said the words his girlfriend needed to hear.
Liam took a deep breath and, in a calm and comforting voice, said, "Eva, you are incredibly cute and strong, you know that? I know you often try to hide your fears, but you don’t need to do that. Well, anyway, I know you’ll succeed."
Eva felt a warmth in her chest upon hearing Liam’s words. She closed her eyes for a moment, absorbing the strength he was transmitting through that call.
And when she finally opened her eyes, a truly sadistic smile spread across her face. She felt the fear slowly leave her chest, and in its place, the hatred for what she had gone through quickly surfaced.
Then she looked around until she found a beautiful woman who was looking at her with a smile. Seeing that the call was finished, Mina quickly approached and asked:
"So, are you ready?"
"Yes," she said with a sigh. "But you still haven’t told me exactly what your plan is."
"That’s because I don’t have one, but just do whatever you feel like, anyway people will be on your side. I know, cause a commotion and make her take the blame!" She said excitedly.
Then she looked at Zack again and noticed that he was very close to a girl who was too pretty for someone like him. Well, any woman was too good for him, but in fact, the girl was beautiful.
"Okay, I’m going to steal that girl from him," Mina declared, "now you can do whatever you prefer."
Eva just smiled ironically. Ironically, in the end, the woman just turned it into an excuse to go after a pretty girl as always.
And unfortunately, it wasn’t long before Eva and Zack exchanged glances. But instead of approaching her, he surprisingly just moved away quickly. The reason was simple; he still vividly remembered the beating Liam had given him.
But seeing this, Eva decided that she didn’t want to let things end there. Not after everything that man had put her through. So she walked in his direction, her gaze filled with hatred and a certain sadism.
"I didn’t expect to find you here," she said to Zack, who almost jumped back in fright upon seeing her.
"What do you want?" He asked and regained his composure after taking a deep breath. "Were you perhaps missing me so much that you wanted to come see me?"
Zack tried to smile confidently, but the look of pure contempt on the girl’s face made it clear that she hadn’t called to talk about pleasant things.
"I’m also one of the competitors," she explained in a cold tone. "But unlike you, I got here on my own merit," she said, provoking the man.
"What did you say?" Naturally, the proud Zack retorted, taking a step forward, visibly irritated.
Then, he reached out and almost grabbed the girl’s wrist. But Eva reacted quickly and took a step back, escaping his reach.
Because of this, the man lost his balance and ended up lunging forward. He managed to avoid falling by grabbing onto a nearby table, but he ended up knocking over some glasses and objects that were on the table.
"That boy again?"
"What happened now?"
"He’s always a problem."
"Could he be drunk again already?"
Immediately, the two became the center of attention. So people began to whisper while staring at Zack with a mixture of disdain and curiosity.
He was just a troubled child, practically disinherited by his own family. And his terrible reputation seemed to worsen every day.
"Wait, I..." Zack felt a lump in his throat, hearing all those people speak ill of him.
His heart raced, overwhelmed by an anxiety that seemed to suffocate him. He wasn’t someone who dealt well with the animosity of other people. After all, he was a boy who was used to being flattered by everyone around him.
"You did that on purpose!" He shouted, extremely angry.
Ever since he met Eva, his life had gone downhill. Of course, all of this happened because of himself. He knew that, deep down. But, unable to take responsibility for his own choices, he preferred to blame others.
At that instant, while feeling the weight of the judgmental gazes around him, Zack decided that Eva would be the target of all his anger.
It was easier to hate her than to face the truth: he was solely responsible for the chaos in which his life found itself.
"I’m going to teach you to respect me, bitch."
"Don’t touch me," Eva said in a strong tone, then slapped the man, forcing him to step back.
Then, two bodyguards stood between the girl and the idiot. They were probably employees of the masochist, who, by the way, was observing the scene from afar, looking very anxious.
Then one of the large men in suits grabbed Zack and subdued him, pressing him against the floor. Then he informed the boy that he had been eliminated from the competition.
Upon hearing this, Zack became furious and tried to mention his family’s name in a pathetic way. Seeing that scene, people began to whisper even crueler things about the boy.
Then Zack finally called out to Eva in an almost desperate way.
"Stop it! All of this is that woman’s fault, she set me up!"
Upon hearing this, the small girl bent down just to look the man in the eye.
"The only one who destroyed your life was yourself, because you are a pathetic man." She smiled sadistically and said to the men, "You can take him outside, please."
Thus, Zack was soon dispatched. Then the masochist approached the girl with a big smile and asked:
"Did I do a good job?"
"I want him arrested," she thought about whether or not to tell her story. But she preferred to say nothing. "Find a reason and make it happen."
Without wasting any more time talking to that weirdo, Eva left.
As for Zack, after being thrown out, he swore to the guards that he would end their lives. And as soon as he was released, the man took out his cell phone and called his mother.
