Guide to tamming vilanesses-Chapter 32: The busty library girl
Shin entered the library and walked a bit, until he found a woman.
Anyway, her posture was weird, her head was bowed so low that a curtain of mousy black hair fell forward, completely obscuring her face.
She wore a bulky, shapeless hoodie and baggy jeans. However, despite the heavy fabric’s attempt to conceal everything, it couldn’t entirely hide the huge curve of her bust, a physical attribute she clearly sought to minimize.
Curiosity, pricked at Shin. He altered his course, his steps silent on the carpet. As he drew closer, he could see the book wasn’t a novel. It was a manga.
The art was unmistakably that of a risqué hentai. On the page, a comically proportioned, muscular hero had a shy, softly drawn princess pinned against a wall.
The hero pressed his large cock against the shy princess’s stomach as he approached to hug her, while she was crying
The narrative, from what Shin could glean from the fragmented visuals, was a mixture of romance and exaggerated sex.
Back to reality, the girl was utterly lost in the fantasy, her shoulders tense. The risk of reading such a thing in a public place seemed to fuel her concentration.
She wasn’t an exhibitionist, nor did she get a thrill from taking risks by any means. But she simply couldn’t read that manga at home. She would never find peace there, and if anyone discovered her secret stash of manga, she’d be mortified.
For just a few moments, the girl desperately wanted to escape into the pages of that story. She wanted to escape her reality.
Meanwhile, Shin paid so much attention to the girl, he failed to watch his feet. His shoe connected with a plastic water bottle she had left on the floor, sending it skittering across the aisle with a clatter that echoed like a gunshot in the sacred silence.
"Shit, sorry," Shin mumbled, the words automatic.
The girl jolted as if electrocuted. A small, strangled gasp escaped her as she slammed the book shut, hugging it to her huge chest like a shield.
Her head snapped up, and for the first time, Shin saw her face fully. It was a plain, heart-shaped face, dominated by a pair of large, round glasses.
Her cheeks were flushed a deep, mortified crimson.
And it was just as he saw her face, Shin remembered who she was. Her name was probably Kaho, or something like that.
She was a very minor character in the game. She had some form of problems with her family. Shin remembered seeing on a post on the internet that she had a tragic end.
He had met this character just three times playing the game, and never when playing as Shin. He had actually found her once in the tower, and twice in the tutorial, but using Etozawa (the character with hypnotic ability).
Overall, he realized he knew almost nothing about the girl now frozen in front of him. The shock of being caught had apparently short-circuited her brain.
"You...! How long have you been there?" she finally whispered, her voice trembling.
"Eh... Not long, I was just walking by," he said.
Her eyes searched his, and the hope in them died instantly. "Oh, god," she mumbled, her voice dropping to a tearful whisper. She hugged the book tighter, her knuckles white. "You saw it. You really saw it. I’m going to die of embarrassment. Just... just disappear."
"Hey, come on," Shin said, keeping his voice low and even, the way one might speak to a spooked animal. "It’s no big deal. It’s... normal. To be curious about that stuff... at our age." The words felt clumsy coming from his mouth.
Her reaction was immediate. She looked down, her hair falling like a protective curtain again.
"No, no one could find out about these..." she said in an almost inaudible whisper. "If my family found out about it, I..."
The girl was clearly falling in despair, and Shin felt bad for her. Kaho was a really nice girl, and he didn’t plan on ever blackmailing her.
"Look," Shin said, his tone shifting from consoling to matter-of-fact. "I didn’t see anything. And even if I did, it’s none of my business. Your secret is safe."
He took a deliberate step back, creating space, showing her he wasn’t a threat. "I’m just here to use a computer. You can pretend you never saw me, okay?" He gave her a reassuring smile.
Kaho peeked at him through her hair, then gave him a shy nod, and a sigh of relief escaping her lips.
"Thank you," she was able to force these words out, but she was already too shy to continue the conversation.
Shin also had no reason to speak with her any further, so he just stepped back, letting her go.
He already had a lot to do for now. He probably wouldn’t see her again so soon, and wouldn’t need to. First he would try to deal with his family.
Anyway, he walked around looking for some nice books to read. He didn’t find much, but he saw a few manga to read, and took his time reading it.
Finally, as he was already at the library, he decided to take a book he would need. Tests were coming, and he barely remembered anything from high school.
However, there was no librarian for him to speak with, so he just put the book in his bag and went back home.
Arriving, he saw both his sisters were already in their rooms, and didn’t spend time talking with them.
He decided to do some exercises. Since getting into this world, he had already lost 10 pounds and was on track to stop being so fat.
Finally, it was past midnight. Most of HEAVEN’s systems were only accessible at that hour, and he needed to retrieve a few specific pieces of information.
Over the next few hours, he wrote a detailed report. When it was finished, he submitted it to the official verifier.
"With this, that man is fucked..." he murmured. "But before I deal with my sister, I should go talk to Hiroto. Enough time has passed."
