Chapter 117: Chapter 117: The Powerful Tier Four Spell

Allen released his Spiritual Power, sweeping it over Li Wei.

Li Wei felt a wave of Spiritual Power wash over him and grew nervous, afraid he’d be recognized.

Allen found his Spiritual Power blocked, unable to see the other person’s true face.

If he forced the issue, it wasn’t impossible with his powerful Spiritual Power.

But to do so would undoubtedly be a provocation.

Against an enemy, he could act without restraint.

But he didn’t know if the person before him was friend or foe.

So Allen couldn’t just probe recklessly.

Li Wei saw Allen stop and not react.

He breathed a sigh of relief. ’It seems Allen didn’t recognize me.’

Li Wei also understood that his Illusion Technique wouldn’t be very effective against someone like Allen.

His entire body was shrouded in a cloak, his face obscured.

Li Wei glanced at Allen and said, "Grand Mage Allen, hello."

Allen looked surprised. "Who are you? You know me?"

Li Wei said, "I am a Summoner traveling the world. My name is Timo."

"The Mages in Maple City said Grand Mage Allen would be coming as reinforcements. I presume you’re the Grand Mage they were talking about?"

"I’ve heard much about you. It’s a pleasure to finally meet. If I’ve been presumptuous in any way, I hope you’ll forgive me, Grand Mage."

Allen glanced at Li Wei and said, "Welcome to Maple City."

"I have other business. You can rest. I’m leaving."

Allen walked past Li Wei.

After walking some distance, he glanced back.

Seeing Li Wei still sitting there, drinking water and eating dry rations, he felt relieved.

Arriving at the military camp, Allen saw Gu Ze and the others.

Allen scanned the group and asked, "Where’s Wilder?"

Vince stepped forward and said, "Wilder was sent flying by the Ant King in the previous battle. He landed among the swarm of ants, his status is unknown, and we’ve lost contact with him." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"If he’s still alive, he should be in the underground mine."

Allen heard this and immediately sensed trouble.

’Wilder can’t die.’

Wilder was a representative sent by a major noble family from Extreme Night City.

Even if he had to die, he couldn’t die here.

He was practically a bridge between the nobles of Extreme Night City and Maple City.

Wilder’s status as a noble was far more important than his identity as a Tier Two Ring Mage.

At least, that was the case for Maple City right now.

Allen made a swift decision and declared, "All Professionals who can still fight, assemble. We’re going to find Wilder."

Brad, standing to the side, said, "Your Excellency, Grand Mage, the mine entrance is currently overrun by Iron-Eating Ants. Even if we’re willing to search, there’s no way for us to get into the mine."

He wasn’t too keen on going back down into the mine.

At least, not right now.

The back-to-back battles hadn’t even given him a chance to catch his breath.

His Fighting Spirit hadn’t fully recovered since this morning.

Allen said, "Leave the Iron-Eating Ants to me. You all get ready to find him."

Brad wanted to refuse, but he was speechless before Allen.

Whether it was the Grand Mage’s power or his position as the head instructor of the Mage Tutoring Corps, he had no grounds to refuse.

Not unless he wanted to stop making a living in Maple City.

In the world of Extraordinary Beings, strength reigned supreme.

The words of the strong were the Rule.

Allen walked toward the swarm of ants. Everyone turned to watch, their faces filled with curiosity.

They wanted to see how a single Mage was going to deal with so many Iron-Eating Ants.

Right now, at least a thousand Iron-Eating Ants were gathered at the mine entrance.

Among them were many Tier One and Tier Two Iron-Eating Ants.

Allen raised his Magic Staff and began Casting.

The Crystal on his Magic Staff burst with Magic Radiance, and the Magic Elements between heaven and earth converged on it.

The intense Magic Fluctuation agitated the Iron-Eating Ants.

The Iron-Eating Ants searched frantically for the source of the disturbance.

A minute later, Allen’s spell was fully cast.

"Tier Four Spell! Sandstorm Tornado!"

WHOOSH!

A wind began to stir, and in the blink of an eye, it intensified into a hurricane-force gale.

A massive amount of sand and dust surged forth, swept up into the violent winds.

It gradually formed a colossal Sandstorm Tornado that reached for the heavens.

WHOOSH! SHHHH!

Under Allen’s control, the Sandstorm Tornado moved toward the swarm of ants.

SCREECH!

Countless Iron-Eating Ants were thrown into the air by the fierce winds and sucked into the Sandstorm Tornado.

RATATATAT!

The magical sand generated terrifying friction, acting like countless diamond drills, tearing apart every living thing inside the Sandstorm Tornado.

Even the Iron-Eating Ants, with bodies as hard as metal and stone, were sucked into the Sandstorm Tornado.

Within moments, their bodies were shredded.

They became part of the Sandstorm Tornado itself.

The crowd was blinded by the gale and blowing sand, unable to open their eyes.

Yet every single one of them strained to keep their eyes open, trying to clearly see the shocking scene before them.

RATATATAT!

The Sandstorm Tornado devoured more and more Iron-Eating Ants, and the yellow twister was gradually stained black.

A few minutes later, the Sandstorm Tornado dissipated, and a rain of mangled corpses and severed limbs fell from the sky.

As far as the eye could see, the number of surviving Iron-Eating Ants in the camp could be counted on one hand.

GULP!

Brad swallowed hard.

’If I were caught in that, could I survive?’ he wondered.

The answer was that his chances were slim to none.

Even Tier Two Iron-Eating Ants had been torn to shreds by the Sandstorm Tornado.

His own defenses weren’t much stronger than a Tier Two Iron-Eating Ant’s.

Against a Magic Attack, no matter how tough his Armor was, it would be useless.

Allen lowered his Magic Staff and said, "Alright, now hurry up and find Wilder."

This time, Brad didn’t object.

And no one else dared to defy Allen’s words.

Everyone quickly gathered their things and headed for the mine.

As they walked through the camp, which was now littered with the corpses of Iron-Eating Ants, the terror of the Sandstorm Tornado became even clearer.

Scarcely a single complete corpse could be found on the ground.

All of them had been torn to pieces by the Sandstorm Tornado.

The few Iron-Eating Ants that had luckily survived had had their limbs ripped apart by the sandstorm. Maimed and broken, they lay on the ground, clinging to life in a state worse than death.

As Gu Ze and a few others walked past him, Allen suddenly asked, "Do you know a Summoner named Timo?"

Gu Ze and Rota stopped, turning to look at him. "We do."

Allen looked at Gu Ze.

Gu Ze quickly explained, "He arrived yesterday afternoon. He even fought alongside us against the Iron-Eating Ants today."

"His Summoned Beast is a Golden Anteater, which just so happens to be a natural counter to the Iron-Eating Ants."

Hearing this, Allen nodded. "I see."

Seeing this, Gu Ze said, "Lord Allen, if there’s nothing else, we’ll get going."

"Go on."

Once Allen knew that Li Wei hadn’t lied to him, he paid him no more mind.

He was more concerned about where the Ant King had gone.

Allen found Reina, who was in charge of exterminating the Iron-Eating Ants at the Kovada Mine.

"I heard you lured the Ant King away earlier. Where is it now?" Allen asked.

Reina bowed and said, "Grand Mage Allen."

"After I led the Ant King away, I encountered a powerful, mysterious Mage. He killed the Ant King and took its body."

Allen asked quizzically, "A powerful, mysterious Mage?"

Reina said, "He could fly. He severely wounded the Ant King with a single blow, then flew off with its grievously injured body."

A look of surprise crossed Allen’s face.

"How did he fly? Wind Elf Wings?"

Reina shook her head. "I didn’t see any Wind Elf Wings. There was nothing around him at all; he was just flying in the sky."

Allen was baffled as well; he had never heard of a similar spell.

He changed the subject. "What spell did he use to severely wound the Ant King?"
