Somewhere in the mystical land of the serpents, inside an underground cave, a colossal snake with white scales lay atop a smooth, glimmering stone that jutted out of the ground.

This serpent had two long whiskers sprouting from above his maw, giving him the appearance of someone with a long mustache.

The colossal snake seemed to be in deep sleep at the moment, but suddenly his eyelids trembled ever so slightly when he sensed a disturbance in the energy around the cave.

He slowly opened his eyes, revealing his yellow eyes and black vertical pupils that had narrowed into slits.

"Hmm, is someone trying to teleport inside my cave?" The serpent mused out loud.

There were very few beings within the Coil who knew his coordinates. Thus, he was wondering just which one of these old monsters it was that wanted to meet him.

But even he would not have guessed that the person teleporting here was not from the Spirit World at all, but someone from the material world!

In a few moments, the space near the boundary walls of the cave trembled and was ripped open by seemingly invisible hands.

Seeing a portal that led to the material world forming inside his cave, the colossal serpent's eyes narrowed. "A summoner?"

The next moment, a figure emerged from the portal, dressed in white robes. It was none other than Adam.

He first looked around the place, trying to discern whether he had arrived at the right place. When his gaze landed on the towering white mountain before him, he confirmed that the coordinates were correct.

As the portal behind him mended itself back, he hurriedly got down on his knees and bowed with his head touching the ground.

"Lord White, please forgive me for coming to your domain unannounced!" The raven-haired youth sincerely apologized in snaketongue.

He was dealing with an entity far stronger than anyone he'd ever met. Naturally, he had to show humility and respect to this being. Especially, when he needed something from him.

"Hmm?" Lord White, the ancient white serpent of the Coil, was slightly confused. He leaned in with his enormous serpentine head, intently gazing at Adam's soul body.

"This spiritual energy signature…" the snake mumbled.

A moment later, his yellow eyes flashed with realization and he leaned back his head.

"I see." The giant serpent nodded. "You are Adam Constantine of Tron."

"Yes, my lord!" Adam still had his head touched to the ground.

"Rise, young magus," said the serpent. "I'm curious, how did you decipher the coordinates to my domain within the coil? I don't recall ever sharing them with you."

Adam got to his feet and respectfully replied, "My Lord, I figured out the coordinates based on my memory. I did come here once before, after all."

"Figured out the coordinates of a place you visited in the Spirit World just once?" Lord White hissed in amusement. "Perhaps, you really were born to be a summoner."

The serpent lowered its head, resting it on his body, and slowly closed his eyes. Then, one of the countless white scales separated from his body and hovered in the air before Adam.

The white scale then transformed into a humanoid figure. It was an old man with a hunched back. He wore white robes and held a wooden staff in his hands to support himself.

He had no hair on his body except for the long white mustache that drooped past his chin. And his eyes, they were a piercing topaz that shone with wisdom and… unquestionable power!

The old man took slow steps towards the youth, then tapped the latter's stomach with the tip of his staff.

"Adam Constantine of Tron," he began, "your soul body has become stronger than the last time you came here."

"Hmm, how much time has passed in your world since then?" He added.

"About two years, my lord," Adam answered politely.

"Hmm." Lord White nodded. "The rate at which your soul grows strong is quite impressive. It is also very pure. Impressive."

Adam simply smiled in return. He then waited for the right moment and cautiously asked, "My Lord, there is something I wish to ask of you—a favor."

Lord White scoffed at that statement, "Of course, there is something you want from me. Why else would you come here? Surely not to chat with an old man, eh?"

With that said, he slowly started walking towards the exit of the cave. "Follow me. It has been a while since I stepped outside."

Adam felt greatly embarrassed. However, he did as the great serpent told him. He followed the old man out of the cave while remaining silent.

He also made sure to remain a step or two behind the serpent, never taking the lead. He didn't dare to.

Who knew if a powerful being such as Lord White would take offense to that and scold him? Or worse yet, eat him!

The cave tunnel opened up to a bright and verdant landscape. The pair arrived at the foot of a towering mountain, walking straight ahead towards the cliff.

A river gently meandered beside them, originating from the mountain peak before plunging into a waterfall over the cliff's edge.

Seeing the lush vegetation and the warm atmosphere all around him, Adam's shoulder loosened and he felt greatly relaxed.

When the pair arrived at the edge of the cliff, Adam was stunned to realize that there was nothing below except clouds!

The waterfall turned to tiny droplets of water before disappearing into the blanket of clouds.

"Is this…" Adam looked around in stunned disbelief. "My Lord, is this a floating mountain?"

Lord White didn't reply to his question. Instead, he looked into the distance with a gentle smile, "The weather is nice today."

Serpents from the nearby underbrush, both big and small, slithered towards the old man and bowed their heads deferentially.

Lord White lowered his head to glance at them, his eyes glowing with a warm and gentle light. He conjured mystical white pills from somewhere and fed them to the little snakes.

"Off you go now, little ones," said he.

Once all the serpents left after swallowing the pills, Lord White turned to look at Adam. He observed him intently with his piercing topaz eyes.

Adam felt like his back was drenched in cold sweat after being stared at by such a powerful and ancient entity. Just as he was about to speak up, the serpent spoke to him.

"Your soul body is on the verge of advancing to the next higher realm," said Lord White.

He then turned his head in a particular direction, his gaze seemingly piercing through layers of reality. "And your physical body is but a step away from advancing to the Mana Vortex Rank."

Suddenly, he spoke in amusement, "Oh? You've used the serpent's seal on your mana channels? Did you come across this sealing arts through Syvarin's inheritance."

Adam was truly shocked. He couldn't help but mutter in admration, "Lord White, you are able to see my physical body in the material world? You are truly the most powerful Magus I've ever met!"
