Great Demon Sun Wukong-Chapter 743 - 671: Sacrifice_3
"And you, Sun Wukong, are actually quite similar to me. You were chosen by the elder to become the most powerful chess piece, vital for completing the most important step of his plan; yet, at the same time, another force has chosen you to play a crucial role in sabotaging the elder's plan. So, strangely, these two forces reached a consensus when it came to you: to enhance your strength. And the best way to do that was to enter the Fallen Tomb. As for me, I'm here to guide you — to join the elder's force or to stop it."

Sun Wukong first froze and then let out a meaningful laugh. "Wu Ming, I finally understand why you're here, haha, and I also understand that if my answer now isn't what you want, you'd probably kill me on the spot, wouldn't you? It must be hard for you, talking so much with me." Wu Ming chuckled lightly, picked up his cup, and downed it once more: "I don't want it to be this troublesome either, but this matter is far too important to take lightly. All right, Sun Wukong, tell me your answer."
Sun Wukong drained his cup of Blood Wine in one go and then took a deep breath, saying, "Born free, if not free, in vain we exist. Next time, it should be Hei Kui, Sword Hero, and Flame God joining me for your Blood Wine. We must drink until we drop; I haven't had Sword Hero's roasted meat for a long time, and I'm craving it terribly." Wu Ming fiddled with the Blood Jade cup in his hand, staring at Sun Wukong, and suddenly he, too, smiled: "Indeed, next time it will be a joyous gathering for us all to drink to our heart's content. Here, take these seven jars of wine with you, and make sure you come out alive, otherwise, all this wine I've prepared for so long would be wasted."
As he said this, Wu Ming waved his hand, and nine Blood Jade wine jars appeared next to them. Sun Wukong stored the wine jars in the World Within the Artifact, then burst into hearty laughter and said, "Don't worry, it won't be wasted. If I don't make it out, I'll drink these before I die, and not a drop will be wasted. All right, our long talk is about over, I think, I should be going now!" Wu Ming looked deeply into Sun Wukong's eyes and then said: "Jump down!"
Sun Wukong was stunned, not comprehending what he had just heard. "Jump down? Where? Where to?" Wu Ming pointed at the window of the room they had just returned to and said, "Jump down here, and you'll arrive at the Fallen Tomb!" Sun Wukong's expression froze, and suddenly he said, "I once heard a story." Wu Ming did not expect Sun Wukong to bring this up out of the blue, so he asked, "What story?" Sun Wukong continued, "Once, a person asked another where the Naihe Bridge was. Those two were in a nine-story high building at the time. The person asked simply opened the window, pointed outside, and said, jump down and you'll be there."
Wu Ming did not understand the story Sun Wukong suddenly told, because he was not from the Pangu Realm, so he had no idea what the Naihe Bridge was. "What do you mean?" Sun Wukong looked at Wu Ming and said, "If I didn't know for sure you wouldn't harm me, I'd have probably swung my staff at you by now. In my world, the Naihe Bridge is a place in the Netherworld. And the Netherworld is where the dead stay." Wu Ming suddenly burst out laughing; after he finished laughing, he said, "Don't worry, I'm not sending you to death. The entrance I created from the School of life and death to the Fallen Tomb with my power can indeed be opened anywhere."
"You could have just opened an entrance behind me, and I would have turned around and walked in; why make it in mid-air?" Wu Ming smiled and said, "I find that the act of leaping out with full abandon is quite fascinating." Sun Wukong's lips twitched as he replied, "No worries, I don't need to be that fascinating right now; just open one behind me, and that'll do." Wu Ming, however, shook his head and then suddenly lifted his hand and threw the Blood Jade cup in his hand hard to the ground. In a flash, he had already sent a palm strike towards Sun Wukong's face.
Sun Wukong was completely caught off-guard by Wu Ming's attack, instinctively dodging backward while wondering in shock: What's going on? Is Wu Ming attacking me? Is this Wu Ming an imposter? But in the next moment, Sun Wukong's thoughts changed drastically, and he vocalized his thoughts: "Wu Ming, you son of a bitch, next time I see you, I'm going to beat the crap out of you." As soon as he finished speaking, Sun Wukong's figure vanished from the spot, and that area of space shook slightly. It turned out that Wu Ming had deceived Sun Wukong all along; the entrance into the Fallen Tomb had indeed been opened behind Sun Wukong and not in the open air outside the window. The method for getting Sun Wukong to enter, however, was a bit hard to accept.
"Fine then, as long as there's a next time, I definitely won't fight back. But that's not too much to ask, is it? Back in the Patrolling Celestial World, you hit me quite a few times, and though I am no longer purely Wu Ming, his memories still make up the majority of me. Sun Wukong, you must come back alive; when you drink with Hei Kui and the others, if you still remember me, pour a cup of wine on the ground for me. I hope when you find out I've tricked you, you won't blame me!" Saying this, Wu Ming turned around and walked out of the room.
But his body trembled more and more as he walked. If one could see his face, they would notice that Wu Ming was aging at a terrifying rate. When he stepped out of the room to the central part of the thirty-third floor, Wu Ming had become so aged he seemed like a withered tree. And the moment his last step was taken, Wu Ming's body disintegrated into ashes,
"Hei Kui, in the next life, let's be brothers again. I'm going to join Concealment now!" (To be continued. If you like this work, please go to Starting Point (qidian.com) to vote for Monthly Pass. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
