Godly Revival System: I Buy My Killer's Stats-Chapter 124: Encounter with a Killer
Elias Feng, the wastrel of the Feng Family. Despite being 24 years old, he was still at Level 6 Qi Refining Realm back when he was in the Feng Family.
From a young age, he had created many troubles for the Feng Family…at least that's what everyone remembers when they hear his name.
However, now, just one month after leaving the Feng Family, he successfully broke through to the Foundation Establishment Realm.
How could they not be shocked with such a heaven-defying event?
"Elias, y-you…how did you break through to the Foundation Establishment Realm?"
Darek, the guardian of the Feng Family who brought the youngsters from the Feng Family, was the first one to recover from his shock as he asked Elias.
"Uncle Darek, is this the first question you ask me after not seeing me for a month?"
Elias didn't answer; instead, he shook his head in disappointment in Darek's response.
Previously, it was Darek who would always help him when he was in trouble, and he hoped Darek would congratulate him the moment he learned about his breakthrough.
Because of those expectations, Elias only became disappointed.
"T-this…."
Darek realized his mistake and wanted to say something; however, he was interrupted by the two young cultivators from the Feng Family.
"He must have used some kind of demonic techniques."
"I feel the same. Otherwise, how can a wastrel like him with a low-grade spirit root break through to the Foundation Establishment Realm?"
The two young cultivators were none other than Simon and Timon, the two sons that Darius was proud of.
They were also Elias's stepbrothers, whom Elias was always compared to and called a Wastrel because of their achievements.
"What can I expect from dogs that only know how to bark?"
Elias sneered, with a sharp gaze locking onto Simon and Timon.
His once submissive demeanor was long gone, and it was replaced by a cold confidence that sent a chill through the two brothers.
"You—"
Simon's face turned red with anger as he couldn't believe that Elias was talking back to them.
Nevertheless, Elias didn't give him time, and before Simon could retort, he continued in a steady voice that was filled with disdain towards the two brothers.
"You both have always looked down on me, thinking you were superior just because you had better resources and talent. But let me ask you—what have you actually accomplished?"
Elias's words were sharp, and the mocking look on his face made the two brothers furious.
"You dare talk back to us?"
Timon clenched his fists, gritting his teeth.
If not for the cultivators around them, the two brothers would have taught him a good lesson.
"Oh? Should I still bow my head and accept your insults like before? Maybe you haven't realized, but things have changed. I am no longer the Feng Family's Wastrel but someone who will make them regret their actions towards me."
Elias chuckled, his lips curling into a smirk.
The surrounding cultivators watched in silence, and looking at the smiling face of Elder Wren, who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the confrontation between the brothers, they also decided to watch.
"You…you enjoyed the cultivation resources of the Feng Family for your whole life, and now what? Do you want the Family to regret?"
"What?? You are planning to destroy the Feng Family now that you have become a Foundation Establishment Cultivator? What a joke! Do you think you can do that?"
"You really are something. What an ungrateful bastard."
The two brothers felt humiliated by Elias's words and quickly countered to humiliate him instead.
"I know you fools think like that, but I am not you."
Elias scoffed at them as he explained, "What I meant was I will become a powerful cultivator and make the Feng Family regret the cruel treatment they gave me before kicking me out of the family."
"Elias, that's enough."
Darek finally recovered from his earlier mistake and stepped in to stop the heated confrontation between the brothers.
"Enough? You stood there silently when they questioned my breakthrough, and now you think I should hold back?"
Elias shook his head. "I don't need your approval anymore, Uncle Darek."
Darek opened his mouth but couldn't find the right words.
"Elias, accusations of demonic cultivation are not to be taken lightly. If you have nothing to hide, prove your innocence."
"That's right! Prove it, bastard."
Both brothers once again attacked Elias with their words.
"Why should I prove anything to those who never believed in me to begin with?"
Elias smirked as he turned to Ethan, wondering what he should do.
"If Elias had really used demonic techniques, would Elder Wren allow him to stand here? Do you think Elder Wren can't even sense it, or do you doubt Elder Wren's judgment?"
After letting Elias vent his frustrations towards his stepbrothers, Ethan finally spoke when Elias needed him.
There was a way to prove how Elias was able to quickly increase his cultivation; however, Ethan felt there was no reason to prove himself.
As for the accusations of Elias being a Demonic Cultivator, Elder Wren would have already taken action even if he had a slight doubt about it.
Instead, he congratulated the Lin Family for Elias's breakthrough, saving the family from Heavenly Luck.
It was very clear to Elder Wren that Elias was not a Demonic Cultivator.
'...'
At Ethan's words, the two brothers' faces stiffened as they couldn't openly question Elder Wren's authority.
"Hah, this trial hasn't even started, and there's already entertainment." Elder Wren, who had been silently enjoying the confrontation until now, let out a lazy chuckle as he glanced at Elias and said, "Boy, you don't need to explain yourself to fools."
"As for you, you…are good with your words."
Elder Wren gave a thumbs up to Ethan for his ability to shut up the Feng Brothers' mouths with a single sentence.
"Thank you, Elder Wren."
Ethan politely replied as he silently thought, 'This old elder definitely has a sadistic personality.'

"If you want to settle your fight, you can do it after the [Beast Extermination Trial] or it would be even better if you show what you've got in the trial to get a better rank."
After that, Elder Wren asked the brothers to compete for a better ranking in the trial.
"Now, regarding the Beast Extermination Trial, I will tell you the rules, and you must listen carefully."
Without wasting any time, Elder Wren started explaining the rules of the Beast Extermination Trial.
"Rule One: Those who are above 25 years old cannot enter the Berserk Beast Realm unless they want to get killed by the formation at the entrance."
"Rule Two: Kill as many Berserk Beasts as possible and store them in these storage rings."
While explaining the second rule, Elder Wren tossed out 45 Storage Rings to the 45 young participants.
"Rule Three: If you are in danger, all you have to do is inject your Spirit Essence into the Storage Ring I gave you just now. You will be instantly teleported out of the Secret Realm."
"Rule Four: You have to return in seven days or even earlier to submit the Berserk Beasts you killed; however, once you come out of the Secret Realm, you cannot re-enter. This means you are successfully out of the trial."
"Rule Five: If you do not return in time, then you will be eliminated from the trial. So, make sure you return in time to avoid wasting your efforts."
"Rule Six: You can steal or forcefully take the Berserk Beast Corpses from your fellow participants; however, you must not kill them at any cost unless you want to follow them to the otherworld."
"These are the rules that you need to remember during the [Beast Extermination Trial]."
"As for the rewards, the first place will get...…"
After explaining the rules, Elder Wren didn't stop speaking as he talked about the rewards to further motivate the youngsters to do their best during the trial.
'The rewards are quite generous. I should get them.'
Hearing the rewards that they could get from the Greenfire Sect, everyone, including Ethan, was excited and decided to try their best in the trial.
"Now, you can enter the Berserk Beast Realm in teams of three cultivators at once."
Soon, Elder Wren asked everyone to enter the Berserk Beast Realm to start the Beast Extermination Trial.
"Let's go."
"Try your best and kill as many Berserk Beasts as possible."

The guardians encouraged their youngsters to try their best in the trial before sending them into the Berserk Beast Realm according to their teams.
'Ding,
The host's [Godly Revival Ability] has come off cooldown.'
'It has finally come off cooldown.'
Just as Ethan was about to enter the Berserk Beast Realm, he received a system notification he had been waiting for.
However, at the same time, he also received another system notification that made him raise his brows.
'Ding,
A past killer of the host has been detected nearby.'
'What? A past killer is nearby?'
Ethan hurriedly checked his surroundings; however, he didn't find anyone suspicious until he saw a bloody-red title [Killer] appear above a youngster's head standing with the Feng Family Cultivators.
'Huh? Who is it?'
Ethan frowned because he had never been killed by that cultivator.
'Wait a second….is that him?'
The moment Ethan thought of who the young cultivator might be, the system also projected the full information about the killer.
[Killer Name: Shadow Bee]
[Cultivation: Foundation Establishment Realm (Perfection)]
[Lifespan: 25 / 1000]
'So, this is how he looks.'
Ethan was shocked for a moment; however, he quickly recovered and thought, 'How did he end up representing the Feng Family for the Trial? Or, was he hired by the Feng Family to assassinate someone? What exactly is the Feng Family planning?'
The more he thought about it, the more questions formed in Ethan's head.
