Chapter 315: Transforming the Tulip Kingdom

The Church of Agriculture’s success got a lot of different factions paying attention to Pages.

Once they confirmed Pages actually worked, it’d be time for everyone to rush in and show what they could do.

And right now, in the Tulip Kingdom, Ren had successfully taken over everything Lady Dream left behind.

Dozens of legendary-level powerhouses from all kinds of different supernatural professions, tens of thousands of supernatural beings, hundreds of thousands of completed magic runes and magical items...

Plus, there were 2,000 dream weavers.

Pretty impressive haul.

"Are you going to change what the Tulip Kingdom looks like?" the Goddess of Magic asked after finishing the inventory with Ren.

"Do you want to change it?"

Ren smiled.

The Goddess of Magic didn’t beat around the bush. She just said what she was thinking: "Since we’ve already taken control of this place, we should obviously change it. That way, those supernatural beings will know this place has a new owner."

"Fair point."

Ren nodded.

After thinking for a moment, he got right to work.

With just a single thought, everyone in the Tulip Kingdom—except those in the port area—was instantly gathered beneath the inverted bell tower.

The sudden change freaked a lot of people out.

"What’s going on?"

"Why’d I suddenly appear here?"

"Are we facing some kind of crisis that needs all of us?"

"That’s impossible! How could that happen?!"

"There’s no way the bell tower’s having problems, right? It’s not time for it to ring today!"

"Sir, what’s happening?"

The noise from the crowd kept echoing. Pretty soon, everyone’s eyes landed on the legendary-level supernatural beings there, like they’d found something to hold onto, and they all started asking questions, hoping for some good news.

"Lady Dream’s authority has changed hands, but it should be good news. He’s got way bigger and scarier armies outside, and in a way, they’re endless."

As soon as he said that, everyone started buzzing.

A lot of the supernatural beings looked at the other legendary powerhouses in disbelief.

Lady Night’s authority changed hands?!

Thousands of years had passed. Many of them had even forgotten exactly how many years—they just knew this war had been going on for thousands of years. Some gods had come here during that time, but what happened? Nothing changed.

They lived with conflict every single day.

It never stopped.

But now, they were suddenly hearing that the authority had changed hands. What would happen next?

And which god could possibly have endless terrifying armies?

If a god like that actually existed, shouldn’t there only be one faith in this world by now?

What the heck had happened outside after they entered the Tulip Kingdom?

Countless thoughts swirled through these supernatural beings’ minds. While they all looked completely confused, suddenly, the scenery around them started changing.

Buildings made of weird geometric shapes started collapsing fast.

The spherical base structures couldn’t hold up anymore and just fell apart.

It was like the force holding everything together was disappearing. People started panicking, and even some legendary powerhouses were getting scared, not knowing what the God of Technology was trying to do.

Time passed, the collapse continued, and gradually, these supernatural beings started noticing something didn’t quite add up.

At first, it was just a little thing, but as time went on, they suddenly realized the places they’d been living were way too bizarre. It was only because they were in the Tulip Kingdom—if they’d been outside, even with magic reinforcement, these buildings probably would’ve collapsed pretty quickly.

Yet they’d always thought everything here made perfect sense.

Was this what dreams were like?

Dreams really were something else!

After the buildings near them collapsed, new ones started rising from the ground.

These had a modern style—no, more like a futuristic style. Steel and concrete frames, brick infill, glass curtain walls, flashing lights.

The moment the lights came on, the whole world seemed to get darker.

Ren watched these new buildings rise up, and a slight smile played at his lips: "Yeah, you need buildings like this to really get that tech feel."

The Goddess of Magic tilted her head, not quite getting it, but she did know about similar buildings. At the Foster Mine, they were building new-style structures that seemed kind of similar to these, just smaller and more compact.

Those were only six stories tall, but these were pushing over a hundred floors.

"Buildings like this can hold way more people," the Goddess of Magic said after thinking for a moment.

"Yep, buildings like this can hold more people." Ren nodded. "The Tulip Kingdom’s got limited space. Expanding it more isn’t worth it. Better to fit more people into the space we’ve got."

He paused briefly, then added: "Those tides, forests, and moving mountains we passed on the way here don’t actually belong to the Tulip Kingdom. Those places are more like the illusory world eroding the city. Of course, you could also think of them as moats and walls."

"But basically, they originally existed in the illusory world, and Lady Dream just found them and brought them here."

"The land we can actually use is just this city-state."

The Goddess of Magic got it.

While they were talking, everything in the Tulip Kingdom except the bell tower underwent massive changes.

High-rises of different heights were everywhere, all kinds of lights providing endless illumination in this dim space.

Before the Tulip Kingdom’s supernatural beings could even process what was happening, a screen appeared in the sky, covering the Tulip Kingdom and the surrounding land—it was clearly a map.

The moment this map appeared, everyone got a description in their minds.

A lot of people looked excited.

Starting today, any life form that snuck in would show up on this map as a red dot.

They wouldn’t need to keep patrolling anymore. They’d just have to watch this map and take out any red dots that suddenly appeared!

Their work just got way easier, and the death rate dropped a ton too.

Why was the death rate so high before?

Those Nightmares only ambushed people and were super secretive. They usually had to split into small teams to search and scout, and in that process, with their forces spread out, people died easily.

But now?

The map showed exactly where they were.

They could totally gather more people to gang up on them.

The only downside was they couldn’t tell from the map how strong the enemy was.

"Actually, there’s another benefit."

The legendary powerhouse who first made contact with Ren immediately caught on: "All these years, we haven’t dared accept outsiders because we were worried enemies would sneak in. But once we have this, outsiders just need to register and verify their identity, and they won’t show up on this map..."

No need to say more—everyone got it.
