God of Crime: Strongest Mafia Boss-Chapter 469 CH 455: PLAN NEVER SURVIVE CONTACT
Chapter 469 CH 455: PLAN NEVER SURVIVE CONTACT
A helicopter was flying straight in the direction of Los Angeles. Sitting inside said helicopter, a young man with neatly combed black hair and blood-red eyes was gazing forward, his eyes filled with contemplation.
"I thought that the Silver Princess' birthday was on the 9th."
"That is indeed the case young master. It seems like something transpired in the house of the Great Wolves. Should we just return?"
The young man listened to his secretary while his blood-red eyes were shining in an intrigued light.
"I came to apologize for my conduct and give some compensation. I intend to fulfill the purpose of my visit…"
"Yes but…"
"No buts. I owe them and my actions in the past have put us in a position where we have to bow our heads and beg them for forgiveness. However, now— if I were to offer my help to them in these times of danger, then the debt I owe them would be waived or at least greatly diminished. Don't you think?"
"That… That indeed seems to be the case here, sir."
The woman was looking at him with clear surprise in her eyes. She had already been astonished beyond words when the Young master or rather, when the now leader of their faction decided to come and apologize for the misdeeds he had committed in the past against the Silver Princess of the Great Wolves.
As far as she remembered, he had never been the kind of man who could recognize his faults and errors.
But now—
'The young master has grown up so much.'
"I feel like you are thinking something rude."
"Haha~ How could I?"
She grinned wide as he looked at her suspiciously for some time before continuing his words with a calm and collected voice,
"Currently, a large-scale barrier was deployed so at least civilian casualties will not occur, yet that is. At the rate that things are going…"
"Yes. I think the princess is still fighting against her inner wolf which brought about the ice barrier that we are currently seeing. But even such indirect protection can not stop the presence of a Calamity-level entity linked with the myth that depicts the destruction of the world. The weather is slowly changing and at this rate, LA will become a dead city before the wolf even finishes its transformation. If we are about to do something, we need to do it fast."
He sighed and took a small flask filled with alcohol in his hands. He wanted to take a swig of the calming alcohol. But in the end— he did not open the flask, merely putting it back in his coat.
"Young Master. Should we really act in this scenario? This is a problem that is predominantly the business of the keepers of LA. If we interfere and things get worse, we might be held accountable for our intrusive behavior."
"That is indeed a thoughtful conjecture. But did you know? Chinese have an interesting quote that is pretty similar to the current saying. In short, bringing charcoals in winter is better than adding flowers to a brocade."
He smiled quietly as he delivered those words. It was funny how he was trying to ingratiate himself with people he hurt. But he needed allies or at least he needed some form of neutrality.
While the Great Wolves weren't native to America, being rooted in Russia predominantly, they still had a great influence all over this country, with its center being in LA. Having such a powerful force indebted to him would be very useful in the long run.
"When we land, I will go myself. You leave with the helicopter and return to Vegas."
"Young Master…!?"
He raised a hand to stop her from saying anything else, "This is a Calamity class event. Even I cannot assure my security and safety while tackling such an event. Much less would I be able to do that while protecting someone else. Anyone else would just be extra baggage, a burden that would hinder me rather than help. Go back and prepare the defense in Vegas just in case this calamity spills to our city as well."
Calamity class events were not a joke by any means. While he was sure that they could take care of it given enough time, there was no saying what could really happen with these types of scenarios.
"Very well. I understand. But please— be careful."
He smiled, "I will. I sacrificed too much to gain what I have to merely lose it all now."
His smile was forlorn and filled with derision. He was sad that it had taken the death of his father by his hand for him to finally wake up to reality.
But now that he was awake, he had to trudge on and advance on this lonesome and difficult path. Only by doing so would he be able to continue the legacy of his beloved father.

In the forest where the two past lovers reunited after a long time, Adam could be seen holding in a thousand curses as he slowly pieced the puzzle together to form a complete picture.
Currently, Adam was floating high in the sky and looking in the direction of Beverly Hills— where Natasha's mansion was located and was the epicenter of this calamitous event.
Something wrong had transpired. Something wrong was happening even now and once again it happened completely unexpectedly.
"Fuck…"
Adam couldn't hold back this curse from leaking out. It seemed like a giant wolf just appeared before completely vanishing in thin air. Adam had the impression that this was none other than Natasha herself.
'Move.'
One of his shadows immediately appeared before racing at full speed toward Natasha's house. He needed to see what was happening there right this instant. But at the same time, he was going through a great amount of stress after coming face to face with this unexpected and dire circumstance.
'This was supposed to happen in two days.'
It was still the night of the 7th, hence, he should have had nearly 72 hours to prepare for the coming event. If he had been able to enter the Dreamscape once more, trained, and reached the next level then added a few more powerful people around, he was sure that any problem could be dealt with in record time.
At least this was how things should have been if he had been given the time necessary. Now though…
His soul wasn't powerful enough or perhaps it was but he didn't really have a surety or assurance of that matter, he would need to face the enemy to find things out for himself.
His helpers weren't gathered and ready either, so he couldn't really deploy them at a moment's notice. Everything was a sordid mess.
"What should I do?"
Adam looked at Tsubasa who was walking in the air next to him. He gave her a weird glance and his eyes landed on what looked to be a lotus platform underneath her feet.
"This is just a simple application of Prana."
'I thought humans were supposed to be bad at emission or something?'
He wondered inwardly before shaking his head to focus on more pressing matters. The shadow he had sent had already reached the destination and his sight shifted to Natasha's house.
Chaos.
Utter chaos.
This was all he could witness…
The house was trashed beyond recognition. As if it was helplessly swept by a large tempest, giving it no chance to resist against its howling might.
No matter where he looked he could see a few maids and servants scattered all over the ground groaning and breathing harshly. Some of them were even unconscious, and all of them were wounded to some degree. Thankfully none of them seemed to have died as of now.
'I don't see Aleksandra or the siblings anywhere though.'
All he could see— was a giant dome of ice and the frigid air of frost and death that seemed to leak from the dome.
This was a really confusing scenario. But he knew one thing. For some reason, the Wolf inside of Natasha had woken up sooner than anticipated and now— they had to deal with the shadow of Fenrir earlier than their expectations.
Truly— things never worked out as anticipated. Adam thought that he finally understood why every plan went haywire on the first contact with trouble.
(AN: So we are the 31st October. Happy birthday to Adam. This is the last chapter of the month and it was my worst performance so far. November I plan to do the win-win again. So cheers me on. Thanks for all the support guys )
