Global Islands: I'm The Sea God's Heir!-Chapter 135: The Start of Cosmic Conflict
The breach at the edge of the universe was not a wound in space-time; it was a conceptual puncture. Through the jagged, glowing cracks of the Universal Boundary, the gray, swirling mists of the Great Chaos seeped into the reality that Aegis had spent decades stabilizing.
These were the Void-Wavers, entities that lacked the warmth of biological life or the rigid logic of the System. They were silhouettes of jagged, shifting geometry, moving with a predatory grace that ignored the laws of gravity and momentum.
Aegis stood at the precipice of the breach. He did not manifest his colossal Titan form immediately. Instead, he stood as a man, his feet planted firmly on the thin air of the vacuum, his violet-clear eyes reflecting the infinite gray of the Outside. Behind him, the combined power of twelve thousand galaxies pulsed like a single, nervous heart.
"Stop," Aegis commanded.
His voice was not carried by air, but by the resonance of his Tier 20 Authority. It struck the leading entities like a physical barrier, forcing the jagged shapes to halt their advance.
The lead entity, a towering spire of obsidian-like glass that seemed to vibrate between dimensions, tilted its upper mass. It did not possess a face, but a voice manifested in the minds of everyone present—a sound like the grinding of cosmic tectonic plates.
"You are the local administrator of this bubble," the entity observed. "Your presence is dense. You have accumulated a significant amount of concentrated data within your soul-core. It is a rare find in such a young iteration of the multiverse."
Aegis tightened his grip on the God-Killer Trident, the weapon humming with the suppressed hunger of the Abyss. "I am the Sovereign of this reality. You have breached the Boundary. You are dismantling the research stations of my people. Before I erase you, I want to know what you are and why you have crawled out of the Chaos."
The entity let out a sound that might have been a laugh, though it lacked any trace of humor. "What we are is a question of perspective. To the bubbles we have already emptied, we are the End. To the Great Chaos, we are the Harvesters. We are the Void-Wavers of the Primeval Mists."
A second entity, shaped like a cluster of interlocking rings that rotated at impossible speeds, moved forward. "We have no personal vendetta against you, Sovereign Aegis. Your name, your triumphs, and your family are irrelevant to our mission. You are a momentary flicker in a single cell of the Great Body."
"Our goal is the Essence," the first entity continued. "This universe is rich with Cosmic Force. It has reached a state of maturity where the fruit is ready to be plucked. We require your star-cores, your law-fragments, and the raw energy of your Pillar to fuel our own growth within the Chaos. We are simply moving the energy from a closed, dying loop to an infinite, expanding one."
Aegis felt a cold, sharp anger rising in his chest. "A dying loop? My people are thriving. My son has rewritten the laws of truth to ensure prosperity. We are not fruit to be plucked for your expansion."
"You misunderstand the nature of the multiverse," the Ring-Entity spoke. "Every bubble has a shelf life. The Galactic Authority you fought was merely the immune system of a body that is already failing. We are the scavengers who ensure that the energy is not wasted when the walls finally collapse. We will peel back the layers of your galaxies, distill the souls of your trillions into pure mana-concentrate, and carry it back to the Outside. It is the natural order of the Higher Tiers."
Aegis stepped forward, the runes on his skin glowing with a blinding, clear light that pushed back the gray mists.
"The natural order is whatever I define it to be. You speak of growth through theft. I grew through Devouring those who tried to prune me. If you want the Cosmic Force of this universe, you will have to take it from the marrow of my bones."
"A valiant sentiment," the Lead-Entity replied. "But your Tier 20 power is a local currency. It has no value in the Chaos. You are trying to fight a flood with a very large bucket."
The entity raised a jagged limb, and the gray mist behind it began to solidify into "Null-Blades"—weapons that did not cut the flesh but severed the connection between an object and its definition.
"Step aside, Sovereign," the entity commanded. "Allow us to begin the Harvest. If you cooperate, we may allow your soul-core to remain intact as a historical record within our archives. If you resist, we will reduce you to raw data and use you as a catalyst for the next galaxy we dismantle."
Aegis looked back at Caelum and Bella. Caelum’s hands were trembling as he held the Dimensional Lock, the pressure from the Outside threatening to shatter his young mind. Bella’s frost-aura was being eroded by the non-existence of the Chaos.
"I have spent my life safeguarding this family," Aegis whispered, his voice becoming a roar that bypassed the physical and entered the conceptual. "I have eaten Emperors. I have consumed Arbiters. I have integrated the Final Executioner. Do you truly think a few jagged shapes from the mist can intimidate me?"
Aegis unleashed the Sovereign Reality.
He didn’t just attack; he changed the "Rules of Engagement." He forced the gray mists of the Chaos to acknowledge the existence of "Solidify." He forced the Void-Wavers to have a "Location" and a "Form."
The Lead-Entity shrieked as its translucent, jagged body suddenly gained mass. It felt the weight of gravity for the first time. It felt the friction of the vacuum.
"What have you done?" the entity hissed, its vibrations turning into a panicked screech. "You are forcing the Chaos into the Law! You are poisoning us with Being!"
"I am giving you a body," Aegis said, his eyes burning with a terrifying, absolute clarity. "Because a body can be broken. A body can be felt. And most importantly... a body can be Devoured."
Caelum saw the opening and didn’t hesitate. "Chrono-Sovereignty: The Weight of History!"
He didn’t just freeze the entities; he forced the "Time" of twelve thousand galaxies to press down on them. He made every second of struggle, every year of peace, and every century of evolution within the Empire act as a physical burden on the Void-Wavers. The entities, now forced into a physical state by Aegis, found themselves crushed under the weight of a billion years of history.
"You want our growth?" Caelum shouted. "Then feel the weight of it!"
Bella unleashed the "Empress’s Mercy," but this time, it was not a shield. She sent a wave of "Absolute Definition."
She defined the Void-Wavers as "Fragile." She defined their jagged geometry as "Brittle."
The Ring-Entity began to crack. The iridescent colors it had refracted from Aegis’s earlier attack turned into literal, leaking wounds. It bled gray liquid that evaporated the moment it touched the laws of the universe.
The Lead-Entity, struggling against the gravity of Aegis’s presence, manifested a Tier 22 "Chaos-Burst." It attempted to re-establish the Null-Zone by detonating its own essence. "If we cannot harvest you, we will simply dissolve the sector! The Void is patient!"
"The Abyss is hungrier," Aegis countered.
Aegis lunged. He didn’t use his Trident to pierce; he used it as a conduit. He jammed the weapon into the center of the Lead-Entity’s newly-solidified chest and activated the Abyssal Devourer.
He began to pull the Cosmic Force back from the entity. He wasn’t just defending his universe; he was stealing the "Chaos-Essence" that the Void-Wavers had collected from other destroyed bubbles.

The Lead-Entity’s obsidian form began to dim. It looked at Aegis with a flickering sense of realization.Devourer
"You... you are not a Sovereign. You are a Parasite of the Chaos. You are doing to us what we do to the bubbles."
"I told you," Aegis said, his voice overlapping with the voices of the twelve thousand galaxies he protected. "I am a father. And a father will eat anything to make sure his children aren’t hungry."
With a final, violent pull, Aegis ripped the core essence out of the Lead-Entity. The jagged spire shattered into a million pieces of non-meaning, which were instantly sucked into the maw of the Abyss. The Ring-Entity and the other Void-Wavers, seeing their leader turned into nourishment, retreated frantically back through the cracks in the Boundary.
Aegis stood at the edge of the breach, his body vibrating with the raw, unstable energy of the Chaos-Essence. He raised his hand, and using the stolen power, he "Stitched" the Universal Boundary shut. He didn’t just close it; he reinforced it with the very Chaos-matter he had just consumed, making the wall "Invisible" to the Outside.
The screaming stopped. The gray mists receded. The Long Peace returned, but it was a peace etched with the knowledge of the predators lurking in the dark.
Aegis turned back to Caelum and Bella. His skin was no longer metallic; it was translucent, glowing with the clear, terrifying light of a being that had touched the "Outside" and survived.
"They will be back," Aegis said, his voice tired but resolute. "They said the Loop is full. They said we are fruit ready for the picking."
"Then we change the season, Papa," Caelum said, his silver eyes reflecting the newly repaired boundary. "We don’t wait for them to harvest us. We grow so large that their mists can’t even touch our roots."
Aegis looked at his hands. He could feel the Chaos-Essence churning in his stomach, being slowly digested into a new kind of power—a Tier 21 "Boundary-Law."
"They have no personal vendetta against us," Aegis whispered, a cold smile touching his lips. "But I have one against them now. They tried to turn my family into data. In the next three years, I will make sure the Chaos remembers the name Aegis as the only thing it can’t erase."
The breach was gone, but the Sovereign’s goal had shifted. He was no longer just the King of the Universe. He was preparing to become the Guardian of the Multiverse.
