Global Game: AFK In The Zombie Apocalypse Game-Chapter 2760 - : Clashing Layers
Chapter 2760: Clashing Layers
Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Suddenly, from the back of the square, a noisy commotion erupted, as if someone had taken the lead.
“There’s no doubt about it! Who else could single-handedly take down so many demons and make it to the fifth level?”
“It’s glowing! Did you see that?! It’s glowing!”
“The sixth level! It’s the sixth level!”
“The inheritor broke through to the sixth level…?!”
The guards and priests of the Holy Realm knew that the Tier 6 demons sealed inside the Demon Suppressing Temple were immensely powerful. Even the God’s Punishment Knight Legion, along with several high-ranking priests and commanders, couldn’t fully destroy them.
...
So, who exactly was this young man?
The guards who had accompanied Fang Heng through the Mist God Pillar could feel dozens of eyes gathering on their backs, making them uneasy.
Fang Bai’s power was this strong?
He had even taken down a Tier 6 demon?
But he hadn’t known this in advance!
Knight Commander Hain stared intently at the large circular stone slab outside the Demon Suppressing Temple, a look of astonishment in his eyes.
He really… broke through?
That kid!
If he remembered correctly, the section of the stone slab corresponded to the demon sealed in the Demon Suppressing Temple—the Evil Bone Demon!
Hain couldn’t help but clench his fists.
He had to admit.
Even if he brought all his subordinates and the entire God’s Punishment Knight Squad with him, they wouldn’t be able to deal with the Evil Bone Demon.
The demon’s mental abilities could create terrifying illusions and mind attacks, which were deadly to every knight of the Holy Court without exception. Those with insufficient mental strength wouldn’t be able to withstand them.
Forget about the other squad members; even he couldn’t endure the mental attacks for long. One wrong move, and he’d be lost in the illusion. Staying awake in that state was already a challenge, let alone fighting the Evil Bone Demon.
It was impossible!
No matter how many people came, it wouldn’t make a difference.
Not to mention, completely eliminating the Evil Bone Demon required high-tier, sustained God’s Punishment skills.
The only person capable of maintaining God’s Punishment for such a long period of time… was none other than the inheritor of the Great Sage Klo Issos.
Hain took a deep breath, suppressing the excitement within him.
It seemed their prayers had been answered.
Perhaps this was a sign from God, a divine guidance for their God’s Punishment Knight Legion.
Hain was willing to pay any price to nurture this Great Sage’s inheritor, guiding them until they successfully ascended to become the new Great Sage.
…
Inside the Demon Suppressing Temple, Fang Heng reappeared on the first floor.
After dealing with the Evil Bone Demon, only five new teleportation passageways with magic arrays had spawned on the first floor.
It seemed there were only five Tier 7 demons left.
Fang Heng lightly licked his lips and glanced at the mission hint.
The God’s Punishment mission required a total of 50 million points. Along the way, he’d earned 6 million points, and just by eliminating the Evil Bone Demon, he had earned 3 million.
It was more profitable to focus on the higher-tier demons.
Fang Heng opened the game log to check the progress of his Great Sage advancement mission again.
Mission name: Great Sage Advancement Trial
Mission requirement 1: Reach at least master level in sacred studies and have a spirit attribute above 500 points (completed).
Mission requirement 2: Bind a Temple of Zeus with a rating of SS or above (current binding: Temple of Zeus, Rating: A+), and accept the power of faith as a Great Sage. The number of believers must reach at least 5,000 people.
Mission requirement 3: Seal at least three SS-level or higher monsters and complete a monster sacrifice in the Temple of Zeus.
Mission requirement 4: Use the judgment skill to eliminate S-level or higher demons to earn mission points, with a total of more than 50 million points.
“The mission only requires completing three out of four of these objectives,” Fang Heng murmured to himself.
The first mission requirement had already been fulfilled, and the fourth mission was not too difficult. He figured that by heading to the Tier 7 Demon Suppression zone, he could likely finish it. If that wasn’t enough, he could always go to the Tier 6 zone and grind for a bit longer.
The real problem now was the last part.
He needed to choose between Mission 2 and Mission 3.
If he had a little more time, he could find a way to bring the Starshine God Pillar from the Temple of Zeus into the Zombie Apocalypse, and then he would be able to easily complete Mission 2. Expanding the Temple of Zeus within the Zombie Apocalypse would probably be enough to meet the requirements.
As for Mission 3…
Fang Heng rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
The mission required him to perform a sacrifice of a demon inside the Temple of Zeus in the Zombie Apocalypse.
The method for sacrifice wasn’t particularly difficult.
To put it simply, it just meant using God’s Punishment publicly to completely destroy a demon.
The only restriction was the location.
He thought about it for a moment.
For SS-level demons, the lowest-level ones could be found in the second-floor demon area.
The demons on the second floor were generally weaker…
“Should be manageable!”
Fang Heng quickly made up his mind.
He directly used the sealing arts to temporarily seal the SS-level demon with low sealing resistance, then relied on Abe Akaya’s teleportation magic array to return to the Temple of Zeus in the Zombie Apocalypse and complete the sacrifice.
It was a great plan!
The plan was set!
So, he immediately began to set up Abe Akaya’s magic array.
Time was limited, so he started without hesitation.
He decided to act first and think later.
In trial mode, the Demon Suppressing Temple should be undisturbed.
Without hesitation, Fang Heng flipped his wrist, holding a stack of sealing rune papers, and flicked them forward.
“Snap! Snap! Snap!”
The rune papers exploded mid-air, and the sealed Lickers leaped out from the exploding papers, immediately landing and forming flesh cocoons on the ground.
Within a few seconds, vine zombies crawled out of the twitching flesh cocoons, following Fang Heng as they began to set up Abe Akaya’s teleportation magic array on the empty floor of the Great Hall.
The entire Demon Suppressing Temple domain was spacious enough to give the zombies plenty of room to set up the magic array.
Fang Heng spent more than an hour quickly constructing the detailed inner structure of the magic array.
It was almost done.
Fang Heng stood up.
To save time, he activated a hack to let the zombie clones continue setting up the magic array while he checked the strength of the sealed demon on the next floor, aiming to finish Mission 4 as quickly as possible.
Having found such a good place as the Demon Suppressing Temple, he decided to go all in and complete the Great Sage mission in one go.
Fang Heng couldn’t help but feel more eager as he thought about it.
Based on his previous experience advancing as the Death God, he knew that advancing the Great Sage bloodline would be comparable to reaching the grandmaster and demigod tiers in sacred study.
Time for a big push!
With his plan set, Fang Heng stepped forward and headed toward one of the Tier 7 demon teleportation passages.
“Whoosh!”
A bright purple light flashed, and Fang Heng’s figure vanished into the teleportation magic array.
…
In the newly created special space, a rapidly spinning magic array phantom appeared on the ground.

Fang Heng opened his eyes again.
After each teleportation, he experienced about 0.2 seconds of stiffness.
This brief moment of stiffness was a significant risk for him.
He had already prepared himself to endure an attack.
But this time, something was different. Contrary to his expectations, he wasn’t attacked.
Fang Heng slowly raised his head.
In the sealing space, he saw a middle-aged man sitting at the center, surrounded by a holy barrier that enveloped him.
