Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 708: Skill Recipe
Chapter 708: Skill Recipe
"Humanity is obsolete? That’s some scary words..." Asad couldn’t help but comment after hearing those words.
Shane could only nod as the two fell silent for a moment...
"These projects," Asad said slowly, "they could explain everything. The mutations. The cult. Maybe even the system itself..."
Shane folded his arms. "That’s what I believe. The Eclipse Followers might be trying to finish what the old world couldn’t. We need to find the sites where these experiments took place—and shut them down."
"Do we know where to start?"
"I’ve got leads," Shane replied. "Each project left behind breadcrumbs. We think one of the old research facilities tied to Project Eclipse is in Sector 20... Our scouts found some abandoned cities, and we could start from there."
Asad stood. "Then, what are we waiting for?"
"No need to hurry... We have annexed a new Shelter from the Blood Talon Clan. Let’s stabilize it first... Then, I’m also planning to do some alchemy for everyone. I got a lot of new ingredients." Shane explained.
"You’re also doing some alchemy?" Asad asked in surprise. He didn’t know anything about it at all.
"Well, I’m only following the Blood Alchemy Book." Shane answered.
That was the truth anyway. Everyone was getting Zombie Blood when looting Zombies. However, their usage wasn’t known to all. They only knew that someone’s buying them in the marketplace or that they could be used by some Survivors with unique Talents.
Shane, on the other hand, uses the Blood Alchemy Book to use the Zombie Blood to somehow use their skills.
Previously, he created the 5-Meter Jump Skill from the Jumper Zombie. Then, there was also the Armored Dash Skill and Titan’s Roar Skill from the Juggernaut Zombie Blood and Titan Zombie Blood.
In the book, Shane read more about the other Skills, and they require some Zombie Lord’s Blood!
At this time, he was excited to create those skill potions!
"Huh. I didn’t know that," Asad said thoughtfully. "I have some Zombie King and Zombie Lord Blood in storage. You can have them—I only use them to enhance my Mummy Lords’ cursing techniques anyway."
Shane accepted the vials without hesitation. In return, he fully intended to give Asad some of the finished potions.
Shane confirmed that Asad gave 5 different Zombie King Blood and 4 different Zombie Lord Blood. There were also more of them, but those Zombie Blood vials came from just commonly seen high-tier or mid-tier Zombies.
"Onslaught Bile is the one you defeated just now... I think I have a recipe for that." Shane muttered.
Asad’s mouth twitched after hearing that.
"Ahhh... Is that so? I don’t need any Acid Skill though... You can give it to someone else... I’m fine with my movement abilities. I’m lacking some of those." Asad quickly said as he had just gotten a useless skill from the Onslaught Bile’s Skill Scroll.
Shane agreed to this since Asad gave quite a good amount of rare Zombie Blood.
After their talk, Asad finally left. He mentioned that he planned to have a meal first before visiting the new shelter to see its situation.
As for Shane, he decided to look up the recipe that included the Onslaught Bile’s Blood.
[ Skill Potion Recipe: Acidic Deathburst ]
[ Ingredients:
100mL of Onslaught Bile Zombie King’s Blood
500mL of Armored Tyrant Zombie’s Blood
300 grams of Boneblight Mushrooms
1 Heart of a Steel Zombie
1 Vial of Volatile Essence ]
[ Instructions:
1. Pour the Armored Tyrant Zombie’s Blood into a reinforced alchemy cauldron.
2. Slowly add the Onslaught Bile Zombie King’s Blood while maintaining a clockwise stir.
3. Drop in the Boneblight Mushrooms and allow them to dissolve fully—this will take 15 minutes.
4. Crush the heart and extract the core fluid. Drizzle it into the mixture at a boil.
5. Add the Volatile Essence carefully—it must be stirred counter-clockwise while pouring.
6. Maintain steady heat for 10 minutes, then remove from the flame.
7. Let the mixture rest for 1 hour in cold storage.
8. Bottle the final product into four separate vials. ]
[ Effect:
Grants the user the Acidic Deathburst Skill. When reaching critical Vitality Points, the user gets covered by acid and explodes outward in a violent acidic burst that deals massive corrosion damage in a 10-meter radius and applies Acid Burn for 30 seconds.
This skill can also be manually triggered at the cost of 75% of the current Vitality.
SP Cost: 450 Spirit Points
Cooldown: Once per battle
Remarks: All four vials grant a permanent skill upon consumption. ]
[ Warning: not recommended for low-defense users. Best used by high vitality Survivors ]
"What a miserable skill is this?" Shane was shocked as he shook his head. This was simply too dangerous as it damages the user as well...
Perhaps, only those with acid immunity could survive this.
Because of this, Shane browsed the book once again.
His eyes narrowed as he paused on a page with a title, Skill Potion Recipe: Obsidian Hide.
"Interesting..." Shane muttered, brushing dust from the edge of the parchment.
"Requires Zombie Lord Blood... and Stoneskin Blood? This must be one of the true defensive skills..."
Although it was not the movement skill that he was looking for, he still checked it out.
[ Skill Potion Recipe: Obsidian Hide ]
[ Ingredients:
100mL of Zombie Lord’s Blood
300mL of Stoneskin Zombie’s Blood
200 grams of Graniteroot Powder
1 Black Iron Core Shard
1 Flask of Wolf Resin
50 grams of Crystallized Ash ]
[ Instructions:
1. Begin by heating the Stoneskin Zombie’s Blood in at least a mid-tier alchemy cauldron. Maintain a low flame to avoid clotting.
2. Slowly mix in the Zombie Lord’s Blood. A deep gray sheen should begin to form.
3. Add the Graniteroot Powder gradually while stirring in slow figure-eight motions.
4. Crush the Black Iron Core Shard into dust and sprinkle evenly.
5. Introduce the Wolf Resin drop by drop—it acts as the stabilizer for the energy infusion.
6. Finally, dissolve the Crystallized Ash completely and mix until the potion takes on a dark glow.
7. Let the mixture cool for 30 minutes, sealed in a vial.
Each brew yields 3 vials. ]
