Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 573: The Project
"Silver fish, huh…" Shane muttered after reading the description of the fish from the system.
[ Silver Fish: A mysterious fish with silver scales that glows faintly. Known for its high mana conductivity, making it a prized ingredient in alchemy and enchantments.
Effects: When consumed, it restores 10% of Mana and temporarily boosts spellcasting efficiency. Can also be refined into Silver Essence Oil for crafting. ]
It looked really luxurious… He even hesitated whether he would store this fish as food. After all, it seemed more like a fish that should be placed in a pond or aquarium as a pet.
"But I should at least see if it tastes good first." Shane muttered as he decided to leave it in his inventory.
After all, the effects it could provide once consumed were actually quite decent.
Over the next hour, he caught several more fish and there were four types of them in the lake…
[ Emberfin Trout: A fred-scaled trout that thrives in mana-rich waters. Its flesh is infused with fire energy.
Effects: Consuming it grants Fire Resistance ( 10% ) for 10 minutes and slightly increases stamina regeneration. Used in high-grade fire-based alchemy. ]
This trout was a bit harder to catch than the Silver Fish but there were quite a lot of them in the lake. After catching five of them, Shane decided to return any more trout that he caught. Well, there was no need for the fire resistance effect since they would rarely encounter any situation that required that resistance after all.
The next type of fish he caught was a Koi.
[ Misty Koi: A mysterious koi with mist-like fins. It appears only in sacred waters and can sense impending danger.
Effects: When eaten, it temporarily enhances perception and boosts reaction speed for 30 minutes. Can be refined into Essence of Clarity, a potion used to awaken hidden abilities. ]
This was an interesting catch because of its effect. The Essence of Clarity that could awaken hidden abilities would definitely make this fish expensive if sold in the market. He wouldn't be surprised if it would be sold for over a thousand Zombie Core each.
Having a chance to get stronger by awakening new abilities was simply an opportunity you could never pass up!
Needless to say, Shane caught as many Misty Koi as he could get. Though he had no idea how to make Essence of Clarity, he was hoping that his elves could help him with this task as well.
Finally, the last fish was called Troll Catfish.
[ Troll Catfish: A deep-dwelling fish with black scales. It is extremely rare and known to absorb ambient mana, making it highly valuable for research and alchemical use.
Effects: Consuming it permanently increases Mana Capacity by a small amount. Its bones are infused with Healing Energy, used for high-tier enchantments and forging. ]
There was no doubt that this was the best fish in the lake. A permanent increase in Mana Capacity was simply too incredible…
'However, there's no Mana Capacity here… Only Spirit Points… I guess I'll have to consume one to see the improvements.' Shane thought as he stored all the fish in his inventory.'
Shane couldn't help but smile at these thoughts as these would make for an incredible meal before the raid.
With his time running out, Shane packed up, gave one last look at the serene landscape, and patted Silver.
"Time to head back. We've got a fortress to conquer soon."
Axis then waved her hand to her master, before his body shimmered… Soon, Shane and his Slime disappeared, leaving Axis alone in the Fairy Realm.

In the meantime, while Shane was busy in his Fairy Realm and while most of the residents were enjoying the rare moment of respite before the upcoming raid, one man continued to work—Victor Mors, the Domain's finest sculptor.
Inside a spacious warehouse in the east sector, Victor was looked at his grandest and most ambitious project yet—a life-sized statue of Shane, the leader of the Eclipse Domain.
But this wasn't just any statue. Unlike his previous works, which were carved from ordinary stone, this sculpture was forged from a massive Spirit Stone Boulder—a rare, spirit-infused mineral with a magical glow on it.
Needless to say, with the huge Spirit Stone in the warehouse, the air inside was incredibly refreshing. Although there wasn't any Spirit Energy leaking out, the air around it seemed to be transforming due to its presence.
If it was definitely a luxury that no one would ever think of aside from the owner of the Spirit Vein!
"This is really overwhelming… I can't wait to see everyone's reaction if they see my work…
Victor could feel its pulsing energy like a living entity. Once he exposed this work in the middle of their townsquare, he would definitely see various reactions and praises not just on Shane but also on him, the creator of the sculpture…
Lastly, he couldn't wait for the reward he'd get!
Well, this boulder was a gift from Diana. She had personally entrusted this project to him—to complete the monument before Shane departed for the Dreadnight Fortress raid.
Once he did this, he would be greatly rewarded.
After all, the project was supposed to be completed in 8 more days but as soon as they heard that the raid was about to come, he had to hurry on it.
Thankfully, with the three different enhancement potions he consumed, he knew that he could work for 24 hours! He wouldn't need to rest at all.
"Whew… This is looking good…"
Victor wiped the sweat from his brow as he took a step back to admire his progress.
The form was already there and he just needed to refine and add more details to it. At this moment, Shane's imposing stance was already captured in detail.
His arms were crossed with a confident expression etched onto his face. He also had a long coat sculpted to mimic the real fabric as if caught in a breeze.
Then, with the Spirit Stone's natural glow, it gave the statue an almost divine presence, as though Shane himself were watching over the Domain even in his absence.
Victor exhaled as he stretched his tired muscles.
Apparently, it had already been three weeks—three relentless weeks of chiseling, carving, and refining—had led to this moment.
"My eight more days before the deadline had become one day… I can do this…" He muttered to himself.
The Spirit Stone was unlike anything he had worked with before.
It was tougher than any regular rock yet strangely delicate when cut the right way. Each stroke of his epic-grade chisel had to be precise, or there would be a risk of ruining the natural flow of energy coursing through the material.
Tonight, Victor worked alone, as he always preferred.
The warehouse was silent except for the rhythmic tapping of his tools against the stone.
Thankfully, there were six Light Orbs installed in this place, so there was no problem with the light at all.
Several hours quickly passed and soon, Victor was about to complete this project…
As he looked at his work, he adjusted his grip on his chisel once again and stepped forward.
He carefully etched the final details into Shane's eyes, ensuring that they held the same sharp but confident gaze that their leader carried in reality.
"This is it…" he murmured, admiring his work.
But he wasn't done yet.
Victor walked over to a nearby worktable where Diana had left something special—a fragment of refined Spirit Stone. It was pure, translucent, and was definitely a higher grade of Spirit Stone. Carefully, he picked it up and approached the statue's chest.
Using his chisel, he embedded the Spirit Stone fragment at the center of Shane's chest, right where his heart would be. The moment it was placed, the entire sculpture seemed to resonate. Just like that, the veins of mana within the stone intensified.
It was something that he learned from Diana herself since she was the one managing the Spirit Vein. Her knowledge about the Spirit Stones was already above many others because of this.
Just like that, an intense wave of energy filled the warehouse, and for a brief moment, Victor could have sworn the statue itself breathed. No, it seemed to be pulsing with life just now.
Victor took a step back as he couldn't deny the excitement he was feeling right now.
This wasn't just a statue anymore—it was a monument of power that would inspire the whole Eclipse Domain or perhaps, even the whole world once it was witnessed by every Survivors!
Victor then let out a chuckle as he thought of this.

"Damn, Diana… you really gave me such a huge project…"
He was definitely exhausted but he was surely satisfied with his work.
After admiring his work for some time, Victor finally left the warehouse.
He could already imagine the look on Shane's face, or perhaps everyone's face when they saw this. For now, though, he needs to rest.
Tomorrow, the monument will be unveiled!
