Raylo’s expression changed. The creature had completely ruined his plan!

Baofeng’s actions were completely outside of Raylo’s expectations.

Within the Stone Forest, the resting Storm Griffin Group was instantly startled by the provocative screech and the uninvited guest.

Agile figures shot up from the tops of the stone pillars and out of the rock caves, the fierce winds from their flapping wings making the trees below sway.

They quickly assembled in the air, staring warily at the uninvited member of their own kind.

Baofeng circled above the Stone Forest a few times.

It let out several more rapid, piercing screeches. The oppressive might contained within the sound made some of the younger Storm Griffins shrink back involuntarily, their flight patterns becoming somewhat frantic.

Raylo stood on a distant mountain peak, his brows tightly furrowed.

He didn’t understand why Baofeng was suddenly being so reckless.

’Or could it be... that creature has its own considerations?’

Just as Raylo’s mind raced, as he was even considering whether to forcibly order Baofeng to retreat, the group of Griffins in the Stone Forest underwent a new development.

From the top of the tallest stone pillar in the center of the Stone Forest, a Griffin noticeably more robust than the other Storm Griffins slowly ascended.

Its feathers weren’t purely azure, but were instead interspersed along the edges with strands of dazzling golden feathers. The gold was especially prominent on its neck and wingtips.

Sunlight shone on its body, and those golden feathers reflected a brilliant radiance, making it look extraordinarily majestic.

This Storm Griffin, interspersed with golden feathers, was a full size larger than Baofeng had been before its promotion to Tier Four. By the looks of it, it might even be a mutated variant among the Storm Griffins.

The moment it appeared, the other twelve Storm Griffins seemed to have found their backbone. They all gathered toward it, letting out low cries. Clearly, this was the leader of this Storm Griffin Group.

Raylo’s heart began to beat faster, betraying his composure.

He had been plotting how to lure the Griffins out of the Stone Forest one by one and use Baofeng’s Tier advantage to defeat them individually. He never expected Baofeng to choose such a simple and crude method, yet one that was most in line with the nature of Magical Beasts.

"SCREEE!"

The Golden Feathered Griffin let out a resounding roar, filled with fury and warning, as if questioning why Baofeng had invaded its territory.

Baofeng showed no weakness, responding with a high-pitched screech of its own, full of contempt and fighting spirit. It lowered its body slightly and spread its wings to their full extent, assuming an attack stance.

The next moment, without any further preamble, the two enormous raptors shot toward each other like two arrows loosed from a bow, crashing into one another violently!

"BANG!"

A dull impact echoed through the air. Feathers flew and shockwaves rolled out.

The Golden Feathered Griffin was clearly a battle-hardened veteran. Facing Baofeng, the uninvited guest, it didn’t shrink back in the slightest.

Its sharp talons glinted with a cold light, and every swipe was accompanied by a shriek that tore through the air.

Its beak was like a sharp War Axe, constantly pecking at Baofeng’s vital spots.

Its Power, speed, and defense far surpassed its opponent’s.

Every collision with the Golden Feathered Griffin sent a shower of sparks flying—the effect of Scale Armor grinding against Iron Feathers.

The battle instantly became white-hot.

The two Storm Griffins tumbled and grappled in the sky above the Stone Forest.

At times they tore at each other’s wings with their sharp talons, at others they savagely pecked at each other’s heads with their hard beaks, and at still others they slammed their massive bodies into one another.

Every impact was accompanied by a dull thud and a furious screech.

The other twelve Storm Griffins circled the outskirts of the battlefield, nervously watching the fight that would decide their future.

They did not interfere. This was a duel between leaders, and any outside intervention would be a desecration of the rules.

Raylo held his breath, his palms growing slightly sweaty.

He knew this battle wasn’t just about whether Baofeng could successfully subjugate this flock of Griffins, but also about Baofeng’s own survival.

Although Baofeng was Tier Four, the Golden Feathered Griffin was by no means an easy opponent. As the long-time leader of its flock, its combat experience was bound to be extremely rich, and as a mutated variant, it surely had its own unique qualities.

Moonlight also stopped pacing and sat crouched at Raylo’s feet, its attention fixed on the battle in the sky.

"CLANG!"

Baofeng’s talons slammed viciously against the Golden Feathered Griffin’s beak, producing the sound of clashing metal.

The Golden Feathered Griffin’s attacks were cunning and vicious. Using the sharpness of its golden feathers, it managed to leave several bloody gashes on Baofeng’s neck.

Baofeng roared in pain, its ferocity completely unleashed.

What was once ordinary Wind Element, now mobilized by Baofeng, seemed to transform into countless tiny blades that sliced through the air and at the Golden Feathered Griffin’s body.
