Chapter 219: Chapter 213: "Red Flame" Galio

Raylo pointed at the imposing hundred-man squadron of the Fiery Sun Knight Order.

"I don’t need you to crush them. Just act like nails and pin them down right there!"

"Heh, I guarantee they won’t be able to advance an inch!"

Monk grinned, baring a set of gleaming white teeth. With a wave of his hand, the Earth Dragon Knights let out excited war cries and charged forward.

Two hundred Knights from the Black Stone Territory followed close behind, forming a heavy charge formation.

"Messenger!"

Raylo gave another order.

"Immediately inform Captain Ed. Have him detach half of the Pegasus Knights to continue clearing out the remaining enemies at the bridgehead and ensure the Duke’s troops can cross the river safely. He is to personally lead all the Griffin Knights and the other fifty Pegasus Knights to support Monk from high above. I want them to smash those golden tin cans right on their heads!"

The orders were relayed swiftly down the chain of command.

In the sky, the flying unit led by Alex violently collided with the Pegasus Knight reinforcements from the Fiery Sun Kingdom.

The seven Griffins unleashed the oppressive aura of Tier Three Magical Beasts, acting as a vanguard to shatter the enemy Pegasus Knights’ formation and throw them into chaos.

The Black Stone Territory’s numerically superior air force then immediately moved to divide and encircle the enemy.

For a moment, the screeches of Griffins, the pained whinnies of Pegasi, and the furious roars of Knights reverberated through the heavens.

Alex remembered Raylo’s orders clearly. He wasn’t aiming for kills, but to bog them down. Like a giant net, they trapped the enemy’s air support, pinning them firmly in place.

The battle on the ground, meanwhile, was even more direct and brutal.

Monk led ten Earth Dragon Knights, like a pack of the swiftest hunters, charging at incredible speed to intercept the Fiery Sun Knight Order’s path.

"Tear them apart!"

Monk roared.

The Fiery Sun Knight Order lived up to their reputation as elites. Despite the surprise attack, their formation only wavered for a second. The outer Knights immediately pivoted, forming an impenetrable defensive wall with their Long Spears and Shields, locking themselves in a brutal melee with the Earth Dragon Knights.

The Earth Dragons were ferocious and lethal, but the Fiery Sun Knights’ coordination was seamless. Every block and counterattack was executed with practiced precision, and for a time, they were evenly matched.

Then, the two hundred Knights from the Black Stone Territory crashed violently into the Fiery Sun Knights.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The sound of clashing metal was as dense and rapid as the hammering in a blacksmith’s forge.

It was a contest of will and Power. Long Spears collided, swords struck Shields, and sparks flew.

The Fiery Sun Knights displayed astonishing combat prowess. They moved as one, every charge and block executed with a perfectly honed rhythm. The Knights from the Black Stone Territory found themselves unable to break their line.

Just as the battle reached a stalemate, the sky darkened.

The Fiery Sun Knights instinctively looked up, only to see a dozen massive black shadows blotting out the Sun, diving down with ear-piercing shrieks.

It was Ed and his Griffin Knights!

"Monk! Let’s claim this victory for our lord!"

Ed’s voice echoed across the sky.

The Griffins folded their wings and, like massive stones flung from Catapults, smashed violently into the center of the Fiery Sun Knight Order’s formation.

A Fiery Sun Knight had just spurred his horse to evade an Earth Dragon’s pounce when a Griffin came shrieking down upon him.

He only had time to raise his Shield before the immense impact slammed both him and his horse to the ground. His fine Armor buckled and twisted under the Griffin’s talons with a sickening crunch.

The Griffins’ diving attack completely shattered the disciplined formation that was the pride of the Fiery Sun Knight Order.

Their vaunted, unified defense was rendered full of openings in the face of this three-dimensional aerial assault.

Monk shrewdly seized the opportunity.

"Brothers, now’s the time! Charge!"

The Earth Dragon Knights abandoned their entanglement with the outer Knights. Like sharp daggers, they plunged through the gaps torn open by the Griffins, unleashing a storm of blood and carnage deep within the enemy formation.

The fifty Pegasus Knights in the sky were not idle. Under Ed’s command, they circled above the battlefield. They would fly in close, using their Bows and Arrows to harass and pick off any Fiery Sun Knights attempting to regroup.

The Heavy Armor Knights mounted a frontal assault, the Earth Dragon Knights pierced the flanks, the Griffin Knights delivered vertical strikes from the sky, and the Pegasus Knights provided ranged suppression.

This perfectly coordinated, multi-layered assault had dragged the once-invincible Fiery Sun Knight Order deep into a quagmire.

Raylo stood on the high platform, gazing at the distant battlefield.

「Twenty minutes later.」

On the floating bridge, the armies of the Thunder Dragon Duchy streamed across endlessly. The blue Thunder Dragon banner snapped in the river wind, joining the flags of the Black Stone and Amber Territories.

The bridgehead had been completely secured.

The deck of No.1 Floating Bridge issued a deep, rumbling thunder under the tread of countless army boots.

A squadron of heavy infantry was the first to arrive. They silently relieved the Black Stone Territory’s soldiers of their defensive duties and rapidly began to reconstruct fortifications at the bridgehead.

Then, the floating bridge began to tremble.

The main force of the Thunder Dragon Knight Order had arrived.

They uttered no war cries. There was only the unified rhythm of hooves and scraping armor, converging into a terrifying, heart-pounding torrent of steel.

They crossed the floating bridge in silence, assembling in formation in the open area behind the bridgehead.

Just then, a scorching and violent aura erupted from the rear of the Fiery Sun Kingdom’s army, soaring into the heavens.

The aura was like a volcano, dormant for millennia, suddenly erupting. It swept across the entire battlefield in an instant, carrying with it the will to incinerate everything in its path.

The air temperature skyrocketed, and even the breeze from the river carried a searing heat.

Domain Level Power!

Raylo’s pupils contracted sharply.

He instinctively placed a hand on his hip, his fingers brushing against the Soul Horn crafted from a Unicorn Horn. Its cool touch managed to slightly calm his wildly pounding heart.

"It’s ’Red Flame’ Galio!"

Ed, having completed his mission, was returning with his Flying Knights.

"He’s one of the three great Domain Knights of the Fiery Sun Kingdom, famous for his berserk Flame Fighting Spirit. They say that when he unleashes his Domain, he can instantly evaporate an entire lake!"

Before his voice had even faded, a rapidly moving red dot appeared on the distant horizon.

The red dot grew larger, revealing a Knight mounted on a Flaming Warhorse. The steed was entirely crimson, its hooves wreathed in fire.

He wore a suit of dark red, full-plate Heavy Armor. Two curved, Demon-like horns extended from the sides of his helmet.

Everywhere he passed, the earth cracked and the grass withered. A visible heatwave radiated out from him.

The ordinary knights found it hard to even breathe under this oppressive aura. They retreated involuntarily, as if facing not a man, but a falling Sun.

Galio’s target was clear. He was headed straight for the Thunder Dragon Knight Order, which had just finished assembling and had yet to secure its footing.

He intended to use the most brutal method possible to break the Thunder Dragon Duchy’s sharpest sword right then and there!
