Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!-Chapter 279 Song LIu Wakes Up!
The next day…
One of the many rooms in the house rented by Noah and the girls was filled with the soft glow of dusk falling on everything inside the room.
Wrapped in the warm embrace of a slick blanket, a young woman lay on the bed with her eyes closed while the locks of her brown hair spread all over the bed.
From the peaceful look on her face, one could tell that she was deep in sleep. Beside the woman, on a wooden chair, sat another woman covered in skin-tight robes of purple color.
Her black hair was tied up in a ponytail. Her hands were wrapped in white bandages, and her lower face was covered in a black mask that extended from the neck of the innerwear.
Her gaze stayed fixed on the young woman sleeping on the bed peacefully, filled with concern and care.
*Creak*
Slowly, the gate of the room opened, causing the woman's attention to turn towards it. Out of habit, her body tensed, entering battle mode.
Seeing it was Xin Yan who entered the room, her grip around the blade relaxed.
"Good morning! You should take a rest, dear. She is fine~ she should be waking up anytime soon." The first thing Xin Yan noticed was the traces of exhaustion in Shisan's body.
Even though it was not much, her body was slower than it was yesterday. Hearing her suggestions, the woman shook her head and rejected without any hesitation.
She also turned her head to look at Song Liu sleeping on the bed.
"Fine, at least eat something. I brought some food for her as well. In case she wakes up, give it to her." Xin Yan removed two full sets of trays covered in a faint translucent bubble.
"Mmm…" before any of them could speak, a third voice interrupted. Both of them turned to look at Song Liu, who started to wake up from the depths of her sleep.
Her eyes fluttered before they opened. The first thing she saw upon waking was the unfamiliar ceiling.
She heard the sound of someone moving around her and tried to get up, only to be washed with exhaustion.
"Don't move too much." Hearing the soothing sound, similar to a melody, Song Liu felt calmness washing over her mind.
She turned and saw Xin Yan walking towards her with a motherly smile on her face.
"Young Miss, you are fine!" Hearing the familiar excited voice, she turned towards the other side only to see her stubborn guard looking at her with a teary-eyed look.
She raised her hands to wipe the tears from her face.
"This should help you a little." Xin Yan raised her hand and patted Song Liu's head. While patting, she passed her a tray of food.
"This is the meat of a tier-one beast of the lowest quality, your master brought it for you. You should be able to digest it." Xin Yan placed the tray by her side. "She did not eat anything as well, maybe you can make her eat something."
Glancing at the stubborn guard, Xin Yan chuckled before turning around to leave. Reaching the door of the room, she paused and turned.
"Tian is asking you to meet him as soon as you can move. He is in the courtyard practicing. So be careful not to get too close to him~ fufu ~"
Xin Yan chuckled and left the room, leaving behind a puzzled woman and a shaking scared one on the chair.
Song Liu was puzzled, thinking why the boy would want to meet her at this time, while Shisan was scared by the laughter and warning of the woman. It was like a powerful beast marking its territory.
"E… eat!" Sitting on the bed with a graceful posture, Song Liu used all of her strength to speak with Shisan. Her tone had a hint of sternness matching her eyes, which caused Shisan's back to straighten.
'Ah~ Young Miss is so domineering!' With tense movements of her legs, she walked and brought her tray to the bed before they both started to eat their fill.
Song Liu placed the finished tray of food on the side table and signaled Shisan to help her.
"You should rest first, Young Miss. That boy can wait for you." Still concerned about her health, Shisan asked her to lay back down. Yet despite her instructions, the girl tried to get out of bed by herself.
"Wait wait! I will help!" Seeing the stubbornness of her young miss, Shisan gave up and rushed to help the girl walk outside.
They moved through the empty corridor towards the open area, which leads to the courtyard where Noah asked them to meet him.
Since it was still dusk, the sun was on the horizon, and red and orange streaks of light filled the whole courtyard.
Their steps came to a halt when they saw the familiar young boy standing in the middle of the ground with his eyes closed and his hands around the sword that was pointing downwards.
His loose white training robes fluttered through the air along with his loose black hair. He stayed in the still motion as the rays of the sun fell on his face.
Song Liu snapped herself out of the engraving sight and took a step forward to go closer to the boy, but someone grasped her hand, stopping her in her tracks.
She turned around to see who it was and saw that it was her new master, Wu Han.
He signaled her not to move forward before taking a piece of paper from his storage ring and throwing it toward Noah.
As soon as the paper came closer to him, the radiance of the sun seemed to shift their attention. As the rays of the sun landed on the paper, it was burned to a crisp in an instant.
Seeing the sight in front of her, Song Liu trembled a little. She imagined what if it was her in place of the paper. The sheer thought of being burned alive scared her.
'Just wait, it should be over soon.' hearing the voice of her master in her mind, she nodded to show her understanding.
Wu Han took his hand back and watched Noah in amazement as he sensed the changes in the boy.
He had to accept that none of his disciples could match up to Noah in the same realm just from the Dao rhythms he was feeling at that moment.
*Woosh!*
As the sun rose high enough in the sky, Noah opened his eyes. A red flash passed through his black eyes.
He turned to look at three people standing on the side, looking at him, waiting for him.
