Genshin Impact: I'm The Envoy of Snezhnaya-Chapter 133: Could This Kid Have Hurt the Geo Archon?
Chapter 133 - 133: Could This Kid Have Hurt the Geo Archon?
"Captain Beidou, how about this: For one Sunsetia, a black coat, and two single swords. I'll take care of this crazy woman for you, deal?"
"No way. This is my ship. Since when do we let outsiders handle our problems?"
Bai Luo's suggestion was tempting.
Whether others realized it or not, both Kazuha and Beidou were certain that if anyone on this ship could stand up to Beisht, it was this wandering swordsman who called himself Himura Kenshin.
But Beidou's pride as a captain wouldn't allow an outsider to interfere in the affairs of the Crux.
"What if I told you... this Beisht is here for me?" Bai Luo said, raising his head to meet the gaze of the roaring sea serpent.
The others couldn't understand the roars, but Bai Luo could hear it clearly.
In Beisht's cries, one name rang out unmistakably:
"Morax!"
"For you?"
Beidou shot a skeptical glance at Bai Luo. She suspected he was lying.
But if he was lying, his skills at deception left much to be desired. Why not just claim to be a friend of Morax while he was at it?
"Indeed," Bai Luo replied. "This Beisht is the wife of Osial. After Osial was sealed by the Geo Archon, she bore a deep grudge. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, I bear a contract tied to the Geo Archon. Perhaps she's drawn here by the contract."
Bai Luo spoke honestly, sharing his own suspicions.
The contract of his three-day agreement with the Geo Archon had vanished, likely because Morax was already fighting Tartaglia.
However, the contract for the three strikes still remained.
It seemed the loophole Bai Luo exploited wasn't large enough, and he resolved to study further to find even more flaws in the future.
"When it comes to contracts with the Geo Archon, we Liyue citizens bear countless more than you do. From commercial deals to verbal promises, we shoulder numerous contracts every day. Do you think you can outdo us?" Beidou scoffed, glancing at Bai Luo dismissively.
A swordsman from Inazuma, trying to compete with Liyue in matters of contracts?
Was he closer to the Geo Archon than they were?
"But..." Bai Luo replied with a troubled expression, "I signed my contract with the Geo Archon himself. That should make it different from yours."
Beidou's face remained calm, but a storm of disbelief brewed within her.
To sign a contract with the Geo Archon himself, one had to meet him first. Did this man... meet the Geo Archon?
Beidou hadn't forgotten why this man was on her ship in the first place. She and Ningguang had agreed to send him to Inazuma because they considered him a dangerous individual who might cause trouble for the Raiden Shogun.
Now, he was outright admitting to meeting the Geo Archon?
"When did you meet him?"
Based on their intelligence, Himura Kenshin had seemingly appeared out of nowhere in Liyue Harbor. Not even their spies could figure out how he entered.
Until now, they had assumed he slipped in with the Fatui.
But now it seemed... something unknown had occurred after his arrival.
"When I first arrived in Liyue. He's a very kind person, you know. I even treated him to a cup of tea."
Bai Luo wasn't stupid. The people of Liyue revered the Geo Archon. If he claimed to have injured Morax, he'd likely be tied up and sent directly to face the Archon himself.
There was no way he could risk returning now.
Beidou's thoughts, however, weren't far from his.
'Could this kid have hurt the Geo Archon and now be running away out of fear of retribution?'
But she quickly dismissed the idea.
Kazuha had recounted countless times how Himura Kenshin injured the Raiden Shogun. The Shogun's overconfidence led her to take Kenshin's attack head-on, not expecting that his swordsmanship was unlike any technique from Inazuma, leaving her caught off guard and wounded.
The Geo Archon, renowned for his wisdom and caution, would never make such a mistake.
Furthermore, Bai Luo had wandered Liyue Harbor for quite some time without facing retaliation from the Archon or the adepti, which didn't align with someone who had harmed the Geo Archon.
Surely, he hadn't signed a contract forbidding the Geo Archon from harming him?
Would Morax really be that naive?
"Do you have a plan?" Beidou asked, her lone eye locking firmly onto Bai Luo as her loose hair whipped in the sea wind.
"I'll cut off one of her heads. That won't be a problem."
Bai Luo cradled his blade confidently.
With his Kuzu-Ryu-Sen and his Fairy Glitter, he didn't believe he couldn't take down at least one of Beisht's heads.
True damage wasn't just for show.
"More importantly," Bai Luo continued, "I've realized I can understand her language. Perhaps this could be the key to negotiating with her and saving everyone."
If it were only about cutting off one of Beisht's heads, Beidou would never let him act so easily.
But Bai Luo's follow-up claim left her deeply intrigued.
"All you need is a Sunsetia, a black coat, and two single swords. Is that correct?"
After a moment of thought, Beidou raised her head to confirm.
The latter two made sense, but what was with the Sunsetia? Did this man have a habit of eating before fighting?
"If possible, please prepare a small boat as well," Bai Luo added, somewhat embarrassed. "I've yet to gain the ability to cross water, so..."
He couldn't help but lament his lack of mobility options. When would he get a class that could fly or walk on water? Having to row out to fight a boss was just too immersion-breaking.
"I'll have it arranged, Mr. Himura," Beidou assured him.
These requests were no trouble for Beidou.
Especially the single swords—her ship had an onboard blacksmith, so there was no shortage of high-quality blades.
In fact, the cost of fulfilling Bai Luo's requests felt insignificant compared to what he was offering in return.

The Alcor bustled with activity again, but this time it wasn't about preparing to evacuate. Instead, the crew was busy gathering everything Bai Luo needed.
"Sunsetias! Do we really not have a single Sunsetia on board?"
"Captain, we do have some in the storage, but they're the sour ones."
"Then find better ones!"
"Understood!"
In stark contrast to the crew's frantic efforts, Bai Luo stood calmly on the deck. He gazed at the sea serpent still roaring Morax's name, strategizing his next steps.
The conditions set by his system were still unknown, and he needed to figure them out quickly.
Perhaps... starting by taking down one of her heads?
"Mr. Himura."
Bai Luo didn't know when Kazuha had appeared behind him, but his sorrowful demeanor was heartbreaking.
Kazuha had once lost a cherished friend, someone who sacrificed himself for ideals and for the dreams of others, dying before the Raiden Shogun.
Now, Kazuha had only just come to regard Bai Luo as a close friend, but Bai Luo was about to embark on a similarly perilous path.
Why? Why must every person he sees as a true friend choose this kind of fate?
Bai Luo didn't speak. Instead, he pulled a broken blade from his robes.
"This is..."
Seeing the familiar katana, Kazuha froze momentarily.
The once dim and inert Vision at his side flickered faintly. But the light quickly faded again, leaving it dormant as before.
