“Let…” Nicole finally made it near the Magic Mech. Her thrusters abruptly activated and her Ion Pulse Sword drew a line of light as it stabbed at the Magic Mech’s left leg, the one stepping on Tian Lie. “…him go!”

The Magic Mech raised its left arm, a halo flying towards Nicole. This time, the halo did not explode. Instead, it encircled Nicole before suddenly shrinking, firmly restraining her.

Nicole’s figure smashed down the ground. The Magic Mech opened its left palm and three more halos flew out to restrain Nicole further.

The Ion Pulse Sword on Nicole’s right arm flared on and off non-stop. However, with four halos restraining her, no matter how hard Nicole struggled, her Ion Pulse Sword could not cut the halos.

“Outstanding perseverance, but… all for naught.” Gaza scoffed. He then looked down.

“Tian Lie, you probably haven’t figured out what’s happening to you, right?”

Tian Lie laboured to push his body up only for Gaza to kick his body away. His body fell beside Nicole.

Coincidentally, Nicole and Tian Lie’s heads were close to one another and their eyes made contact.

The Magic Mech raised its right arm to aim at Nicole and Tian Lie. The layers of armour on the right arm split open to reveal wriggling pink-coloured organic tissues. A large magic crystal was embedded in the middle of the tissues.

Slowly, the magic crystal began lightning up.

“Truth is… I have long since wanted to use this against you, but I was never able to find the chance. Do you really think that – aside from the Guild Leader – you are invincible?” Gaza chuckled.

“Since your skill allows you to use metal as nourishment, you should have realized that there is a chance that one day, you might carelessly suffer from food poisoning!

“From the very moment I thought about killing you, I have been searching for a way. I have to admit, your skill is simply too much of a defiance of Heaven. “In other words, they are viruses! And you, have become infected!”

The light from the magic crystal grew increasingly bright.

“Sir Tian Lie, I believe that you must have never fallen so low as to become a target like this before, no? Though, your body is indeed very durable. “If it’s true that the [S] class fellow is with the two-man team, how could they lose? The strongest in Thorned Flower Guild, aren’t they just [A+] class?”

“That’s not how it works. Xia Xiaolei’s Extrasensory Perception skill can only detect the level of the skill used, not the level of the user. Everyone swiftly replied, everyone but Roddy.
