Chapter 143: The Reality Check

The dungeon air was thick with the scent of ozone and scorched blood. The sheer force of the cosmic strike had momentarily erased the ambient energy, leaving a suffocating void in its wake.

{Host is in a critical state, all healing protocols, titles and skills have been automatically activated.}

Mirabella clenched her fists, the pain searing through her nerve endings as she forced herself to her feet. The jagged rocks of the newly formed crater bit into her boots:

’I thought I was already the strongest... And now?’ She raised her head to the red sky, which was violently swirling, mending itself back together where the divine lightning had torn the very fabric of the dungeon space.

"There is something out there that can even bypass time and space and enter a dungeon..." She snapped her trembling fingers, and Adira, Sunder, and Cupcake appeared beside her.

"Master!!" The two exclaimed in shock, their eyes wide as they stared at her battered, bleeding form. To them, Mirabella had always been an untouchable god; seeing her health bar completely decimated shattered their reality.

"Adira, Cupcake, I need both your help here... Sunder, locate any monster and kill them, use your skill, Siphoning, and heal me with the enemy’s total health points." She ordered, her voice laced with iron determination despite her critical condition.

"Yes!!"

Adira and Cupcake nodded in unison, rushing to her side. The fairy and the spirit beast immediately started channeling a dense, soothing aura, healing her with their raw spirit energy. While Sunder vibrated with a dark, eager hum, and shot off into the crimson sky, a streak of black death eager to hunt for its master.

Mirabella exhaled a ragged breath, feeling her strength returning rapidly as the dual healing streams washed over her broken bones.

’Seems my current strength isn’t enough... Even with the system’s defenses, all my buffs joined together, I was still utterly defeated, and that’s just the aftermath of the attack... Only the aftermath dealt me one billion damage, if it hasn’t been for my buffs, and the system, I would be dead by now... I need to recover my base health back before I can undo all my buffs, unless...’ She shook her head, dismissing the dark thought of retreat.

’No! I am not ready to die yet... I need to keep getting stronger.’ She looked up at the scarred sky, the pieces of the Galaxy Fall lore finally clicking together in a terrifying picture.

’The third server, what is it exactly?’ She turned her head to the vast destruction left by the Hydra and the subsequent lightning strike.

’Will these gods be able to descend in the third server? If that happens, won’t humans face extinction? In my previous life, I didn’t even get the chance to see the third server, so I know nothing about it... And what was Alphard about to tell me that warrant such a punishment?’ She sighed deeply, her tactical mind racing to uncover the ultimate hidden parameters.

’No matter what it is, I am sure it has something to do with Galaxy Fall rules, powers and set-up.’ She lowered her gaze to her hand, staring intently at the new demonic tattoo winding up her arm.

’I must get stronger... If that God or whatever it is tries to attack me personally, I won’t even stand a chance to fight back.’

{One guardian have been restored.}

She blinked, and turned to her right, seeing the ethereal form of the first Celestial Guardian flickering back into existence from the void.

{Next guardian: 04:54.}

’Seems they will restore every five minutes.’ She closed her eyes, letting the system’s cold logic ground her spiraling thoughts.

’This is my first true defeat in this life... But I learned something of value. They are gods waiting for humans in the third server, we are just heading to a war without even knowing.’ She stood up fully, her posture straightening as she felt 50% of her strength and health points restored to her core.

’Earth is just another world, and it will surely get affected...’ She clenched her fists, her imperial bloodline pulsing with renewed vigor. ’Truthfully, I don’t care about Earth, I have no one there... But I can’t just overlook this. This incident won’t be forgotten.... No matter who you are, I will kill you one day.’

{Congratulations, You killed a Lv100 Black Raven... 200,000 health have been successfully transferred to Host.}

A dark, vitalizing energy suddenly flowed into her veins from miles away. ’Seems Sunder has started.’

Deep in the void, completely isolated from the dungeon servers, lay a space filled with vibrant, suffocatingly dense life and vitality. Its sky was as clear and tranquil as an endless wide sea. At the center of this cosmic paradise stood a magnificent silver castle, its spires piercing the heavens.

In the grand throne hall, a lady surrounded by blinding, pure light slowly opened her golden eyes. The oppressive aura that had nearly killed Mirabella radiated effortlessly from her form.

"What a disgraceful act... I had to dirty my own hand just to shut up that little bug." She said. Her voice was so smooth and absolute that it froze the very air, commanding submission from the two people standing before her. The one on the right was in a gleaming white armor, her eyes fixed on the lady with utter awe and fanatical devotion.

While the second was in stark, abyssal black. The man’s glowing red eyes were fixed on her without a single hint of emotion.

"You should have asked us, Goddess." The armored lady said, bowing her head in supreme reverence.

"We are happy to stain our hands!" She added, her voice trembling with the desperate need to serve.

The goddess narrowed her radiant eyes at her, the light sharpening into a blade: "You very well know you can’t... Not when the barrier is still active. For now, we can only sit back and wait..." She turned her chilling gaze to the man in black.

"And kill anyone who knows about the existence of the gods... The humans must remain ignorant to our existence, and once they unlock the barrier, they will become mere play things to us." She gave a sinister smile, a terrifying contradiction to the holy light surrounding her.

"What about you?" She turned her head entirely to the man.

"The plan is going smoothly." The man said, his head bowed, though his red eyes remained calculating.

"Good... Keep up the good work, Angra Mainyu. When the time is right, you know what to do."

"I understand, Goddess."
