Galaxy Domination Guide-Chapter 521 - 509 twelve
Bai Zhongqi was startled and looked around at the people surrounding him. These twelve individuals, comprising his own students, people with Dragon Blood, generals, and Tomb Guardians, were exceptional in their own right, regardless of their backgrounds. Even Gang Naj from a small village had now grown into a War General who was accomplished in both arts and warfare, while Xu Erli possessed extraordinary combat abilities on the battlefield.
He did not speak but silently followed behind two young Tomb Guardians.
The young Tomb Guardians introduced themselves, "Our names are Jiang Li and Tie Yan."
Ling was on high alert, as they were now entering completely unknown territory and unaware of the dangers that might be present. She resolved that no matter what encountered, she would protect the Chancellor at all costs. As the Empress of the Swarm, her subspace contained a large army of Enslaved Beasts, so they were not lacking in combat power.
Xu Erli asked the two boys in a somewhat childish manner, "Do you always have to speak together? Don't you have sentences of your own?"
The boys replied, "We make no distinction between 'you' and 'I.'
Ling whispered to Bai Zhongqi, "I can sense that the Star Energy within these two children is in a state of active mutual exchange. The Star Energy of one can be loaned to the other, achieving greater effects. They might be using a technique of mutual connection, with a side effect being that they speak in unison."
The boys neither confirmed nor denied this, but continued leading everyone forward.
The narrow staircase extended downwards, and Bai Zhongqi calculated quietly, growing more alarmed as they descended. They must have descended at least thirty-five thousand steps, and were now thousands of meters underground, yet the staircase continued further.
Finally, they entered a spacious area, and unlike the darkness before, this place was bathed in a soft yet ample light, with tiny lights arranged on the walls.
This square was at least ten thousand square meters in size, and at its center stood a white jade statue at least seventy to eighty meters tall.
Bai Zhongqi looked up at the statue. It depicted a man in a uniquely styled robe, different from anything Bai Zhongqi had seen, simple yet filled with a sense of beauty.
The statue held a large sword, and miraculously, the sword seemed to be made of a jade-like material, yet one could see beautiful water-blue lights flowing continuously within the blade, as if it were alive.
"This..."
Gang Naj was the first to notice something unusual. He pointed at the statue's face and said, "Isn't that our teacher?"
Bai Zhongqi then closely examined the face of the statue. Although the craftsmanship was not extremely delicate and the statue itself was enormously large, making it difficult to recognize at first glance, the more Bai Zhongqi looked at it, the more he was convinced that the facial features, the eyebrows, and the eyes were unmistakably his own!
The boys said, "This is the portrait of the Elder Race, so we recognized immediately that the Elder Race has returned."
Bai Zhongqi still in disbelief, he asked the two boys, "Are all in the Elder Race supposed to look like me?"
The boys bluntly said, "We have only seen this one member of the Elder Race. We do not know if there are others."
Bai Zhongqi looked at the huge statue, hesitant.
Ling stood next to Bai Zhongqi and quietly said, "Chancellor, it seems there are still enormous mysteries revolving around you."
Bai Zhongqi paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and said, "Clearly, I did not create this statue, but it looks exactly like me. What could possibly be the connection between it and me?"
Those present, including Zang Murenqing, looked at the majestic statue and found their teacher even more mysterious. They had always known that their teacher had a significant background and history, but this time, even Bai Zhongqi himself was completely bewildered.
The two boys continued to lead the group through the corridors of the ruins, which became even more exquisitely decorated and lavishly luxurious. This opulence was not merely about gilding and silvering but was filled with a profound beauty and colorful harmony of the relics. This beauty was unlike anything Bai Zhongqi had ever seen; such artistry did not exist on Earth or on Iridium Star, and its sheer existence symbolized a civilization that had reached the pinnacle of aesthetic achievement.
Bai Zhongqi asked, "Have your ancestors, the Tomb Guardians, ever mentioned what should be done once the Elder Race returns to the ruins?"
The boys did not turn their heads but continued walking forward, simultaneously saying, "Hand over the ruins to the Elder Race and pledge allegiance to them. Ahead lies the core of the ruins, which can only be opened by the Elder Race."
Bai Zhongqi, not understanding but compelled, continued to follow them.
Until they entered a room brimming with artistic flair and splendid grandeur, in the center of the room stood a massive White Jade Pillar.
Ling commented, "The Elder Race seems to have a fondness for white jade."
Bai Zhongqi shook his head, "This doesn't look like white jade."
Ling touched a decoration on the wall that resembled white jade, and her face changed slightly, "There is Star Energy inside this!"
Bai Zhongqi had already been numbed by the shock. Throughout the Ruins, numerous materials and artworks were made from this type of white jade, each containing Star Energy. The aggregate amount was horrifying.
He approached the massive White Jade Pillar, which was smooth on the surface. At a height even with his chest, there was a small hole.
Zang Murenqing was somewhat surprised, "Is this a keyhole?"
Bai Zhongqi stared at the small hole for a long while. The nearby Tomb Guardians, two brothers, said, "Great Elder Race, please restart this Ruin and claim it all."
Bai Zhongqi stood motionless. Ling was worried and thought, "What now, the Chancellor doesn't actually have the artifact to activate this Ruin."
Keeping an eye on the two young men, their combined capabilities amounted at least to that of a Star Warrior Grandmaster, which made her tense. She didn't know what the young men would do if Bai Zhongqi couldn't produce the artifact.
Just as Ling was preparing to subdue the two Tomb Guardian youths, Bai Zhongqi pulled a pendant from his chest.
It was a tiny key, created based on his idea when he first entered the Sacred Falcon. It contained his very first game save.
Bai Zhongqi inserted the key into the small hole on the White Jade Pillar.
It went in without any obstruction.
He gently turned the key.
Still no obstruction.
The entire White Jade Pillar suddenly erupted in a burst of flickering white light, which seemed to also shroud Bai Zhongqi in a layer of white light.
On the outer wall of the White Jade Pillar, twelve compartments suddenly opened, releasing twelve artifacts that flew into the hands of twelve people other than Bai Zhongqi and Ling.
