Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton-Chapter 1756 - 1317: Improved Martial Technique Through Killing More Enemies
Chapter 1756: Chapter 1317: Improved Martial Technique Through Killing More Enemies
The Dragon-Man looked confused again, bewildered when its time delay was pierced earlier, and now it heard an ancient voice engraved within its bloodline.
Raising its gaze, it saw Ange transforming from afar, causing the Dragon-Man to freeze in place.
After Ange finished his transformation, he spoke a phrase in Dragon Language and then continued observing the situation of the rift; it seemed he had discovered some patterns.
"Lord Nage, what did he say?" Ursman asked quietly.
Negris replied, "He said, don’t fight."
Anthony lifted both hands, causing the blade in his hands to disappear, and said with a smile, "Hello, friend, do you speak Universal Language?"
The Dragon-Man looked around in astonishment, clearly unable to recover from its shock.
Anthony continued to say, "If you do not understand Universal Language, I can ask the Wise Man of the Dragon Clan to help translate, Lord Nage."
Negris couldn’t help but pout. Only when he needed to use someone would this Godman’s Staff be so polite. The Wise Man of the Dragon Clan? Tsk tsk, it sounds good.
However, as he approached, the Dragon-Man responded, "I understand Universal Language."
Its tone was somewhat unrefined, clearly not accustomed to using Universal Language.
"That’s great. I am the envoy of the Dragon God, representative of the Origin of Time and Space, Saint Anthony. May I ask your name?" Anthony bowed with a smile.
"I, name? Ye... Yennefer, um... Yennefer," Yennefer hesitantly said until finally repeating with certainty, seeming unsure of the Universal Language pronunciation of her name.
"Yennefer?" Anthony murmured once and then questioned, "Why did you attack my companion, Lady Yennefer?"
Yennefer’s eyes widened in an unjust tone, saying, "I attacked your companion? Your companion attacked me, didn’t they?"
Yennefer was so angry that she became fluent in Universal Language.
Luther immediately also voiced his grievance, "I attacked you? You secretly sneaked behind my back trying to attack me; I discovered you."
"I circled behind you not to attack but to bypass; you were blocking my way," Yennefer said angrily.
Luther was even more ’angry’, with veins popping: "It’s only when you were discovered that you say that; if we hadn’t found you, you might have chopped my head off."
The first to strike was undoubtedly Luther because Ursman was positioned high and had preemptively discovered Yennefer. But who is Luther? Having been around Lightning for so long, he would claim reason even when irrational, especially in unclear situations, claiming reason first.
"I... I..." Yennefer was speechless from anger, wishing she had learned Time Retrospection so she could rewind time for these people to widen their lizard eyes and see.
Anthony secretly gave Luther a thumbs-up, their old team’s coordination was flawless, as he smoothly said, "So you’re saying you two fought due to a misunderstanding?"
"Misunderstanding?" Luther questioned with a confused glance at Yennefer, "You really weren’t sneaking up to attack me?"
Yennefer, furious, replied, "I didn’t intend to. I couldn’t care less about attacking you; I don’t even know you."
"Alright then, let’s treat it as a misunderstanding; I forgive you. I almost got beaten to death by you," Luther said ’reluctantly’.
Yennefer couldn’t help but sigh with relief, but then frowned, feeling strange. How did she end up being forgiven? She almost got killed by them; they were two against one...
Though somewhat discontented, she realized fighting two wasn’t feasible, so she reluctantly swallowed her grievances, hesitantly asking, "You are... who is he?"
She initially intended to ask ’Who are you?’ but felt it redundant and directly looked towards Ange.
Negris suddenly said in Dragon Language, "You know whose descendant it is, but you don’t dare admit it. Listen to the voice of bloodline, descendant of the Giant Dragon."
Yennefer glanced at Negris and then stared dazedly at Ange for a moment before cold tears flowed down her eyes, murmuring in Dragon Language, "It’s Father God."
"Oh dear, why is it crying, Lord Nage, what did you say to it?" Anthony asked hurriedly while the others cast strange glances at Negris.
A well-rounded Dragon-Man now cried just because Negris said one sentence in Dragon Language? What hurtful things did he say?
Everyone’s gaze carried a hint of disdain, except Lightning’s which was filled with admiration; driving the enemy to tears with a single sentence was a realm it aspired to reach.
Negris promptly translated the meaning of his Dragon Language sentence, lest everyone considers him a Poisonous Beast, and finally comforted, "Don’t cry, don’t cry; Father God has returned. What’s the situation here? Are you the only one? Are there other Giant Dragons in the clan? Are those two your wife and child?"
Negris spoke this segment in Universal Language, understandable by all.
Yennefer hesitantly looked at Negris, then at Anthony, remaining silent.
It seemed trust hadn’t been established yet; Anthony didn’t force her, instead speaking in a casual tone, "The Dragon God seems to be observing something, but I can’t understand it. Do you know what he’s watching?"
Yennefer’s expression instantly became vigilant, yet upon looking at Ange, she realized something, saying somewhat conflicted, "Perhaps they’re observing the location of the Ancestor’s Tomb."
Anthony nodded, understanding Yennefer’s conflicted mindset. They had been fighting desperately moments ago, yet suddenly they became comrades. If not for Ange, they might still be fighting now.
But Ange’s order was ’don’t fight’, not ’be affectionate’, leaving Yennefer’s mind likely a fog, unsure how to face Anthony and the rest.
Anthony continued conversationally, "Oh, by the way, is your martial skill inherited through bloodline, or do you train for it? It’s extremely impressive; is your Dragon God Transformation trained as well, or is it innate? It’s Second Order Dragon God Transformation; besides you, do others know it?"
Discussing her martial skill, Yennefer relaxed a bit, "It’s inherited and also trained; I ranked first in the Dragon Clan’s combat skills competition."
"Really? You’re incredible," Anthony praised, internally noting several keywords, knowing chatting would eventually reveal much information.
Yennefer’s tail involuntarily wanted to flick upward, but she quickly realized that her martial skills were insignificant, as there were two people with skills matching hers right before her.
Realizing this, she couldn’t help feeling deflated and curious: "Your martial skills are impressive too; how did you train them?"
Anthony casually replied, "By killing many enemies, martial skills naturally improve."
