Galaxy Domination Guide-Chapter 513 - 501 killed with one slap
Zang Murenqing, wielding a Gatling, decimated half of the enemy ranks, and seeing troops being slaughtered effortlessly en masse, the remaining soldiers, no fools themselves, immediately turned tail and fled.
Even Gecimi Jiang, standing at a considerable distance, grew fearful, worried that his son wouldn't recognize his father and would use the deadly weapon in his hands to obliterate him instantly; he hastily spurred his horse and fled to save face.
However, Gecimi Jiang was not someone to mess with lightly. He bellowed loudly, "Master Pu, please make your move and capture this rebel for me!"
An apparition soared across the sky like a roc, and Zang Murenqing, quick to respond, raised the Gatling and sprayed bullets into the heavens. The figure in the sky let out a cry, and a sphere of azure light appeared around its body, repelling the Gatling's assault without yielding an inch.
Standing atop the city walls, Bai Zhongqi raised an eyebrow and said, "Star Warrior? Oh no, more likely a Dragon Slayer."
Surrounded by a clearly visible force field of Star Energy, the Shield halted every bullet from the Gatling. Bai Zhongqi had long suspected that some Dragon Slayers with exceptional abilities were, in fact, Star Warriors, controlling Star Energy in various ways; Star Warriors' combat power could be extremely formidable, with unpredictable and unfettered combat styles.
Just as the suspected Dragon Slayer was about to kick Zang Murenqing, flag in hand, off his steed, a huge hand stretched across space from the tower above, with pinpoint accuracy, grabbed the interrupter by the head. Then, as if he were a hooligan in a street fight, he ruthlessly slammed the Dragon Slayer's head into the ground.
With a thud, the suspected Dragon Slayer found himself utterly defenseless, as the palm, extending several kilometers, drove him face-first into the dirt, leaving him in a most ignominious state.
This sight terrified the officers and soldiers among the various lords' troops, almost making their bladders burst. These lords weren't really afraid of Dragon Slayers, as they had Dragon Slayers serving as vassals within their own estates. Not every Dragon Slayer had the courage to contend with the Swarm, especially after the failure of the last Era of the Dragon when those who had managed to cling to life and newly born Dragon Slayers were particularly passive about resistance.
After the Swarm "left a way out," even more Dragon Slayers came forth to seek refuge with various lords, begging to be included in the one-third quota of survivors. In exchange for this, they were willing to use their dragon-slaying weapons and combat strength to fight in the service of these lords.
The one who had been smacked down by Bai Zhongqi was a Dragon Slayer who had taken refuge at Ghostwatch Mountain, named Master Pu. Gecimi Jiang had great expectations for him; Master Pu, compared with other lords' Dragon Slayers, had unmatched battle prowess.
Master Pu was a survivor of the last Era of the Dragon. Unfamiliar with Bai Zhongqi's reputation, he told Gecimi Jiang that Bai Zhongqi was probably a fraud or just a fresh-faced new Dragon Slayer, which wasn't entirely incorrect.
But what Gecimi Jiang couldn't have imagined was that Master Pu, who used to throw punches and kicks around at Ghostwatch Mountain and beat numerous Dragon Slayers, hadn't even had the chance to strut his stuff before he was smacked into the ground by the mysterious figure atop the tower, his fate unknown.
Smacking a fly would probably look just like that.
The enormous hand atop the tower sent a chill to the spines of Gecimi Jiang and the other lords. Gecimi Jiang didn't even want to think about continuing the battle; he couldn't even bother about the two sons he lost in the ranks, so he shouted at the top of his lungs, "Retreat, retreat!"
But the forces of Ghostwatch Mountain were surrounded by the troops of other lords on all sides; everyone had finally managed to form a coherent formation, and the moment the troops from Ghostwatch Mountain broke rank, the armies of the other lords fell into disarray as well.
Bai Zhongqi smiled slightly and, turning to the beguiling Zero, said, "It's your turn."
Ling remained motionless, only smiling.
In the midst of the battlefield, Zang Murenqing, who previously stood with a Gatling gun and held aloft a three-pronged lightning banner, suddenly felt a rumbling vibration from the ground.
Then the ground was pierced by numerous large holes, from which reptiles, larger than water buffalo and with drill-like horns, emerged from beneath the surface. Accompanying these horned creatures were fully armed Humanoid Beasts. Judging from their gear, these combat Humanoid Beasts were dressed like special forces from ancient military times, each of them also wearing a mask and tactical goggles.

The Humanoid Beasts, wielding assault rifles, began firing upon the disorganized allied soldiers as soon as they surfaced. They advanced and retreated in a tactical manner, utilizing the classic three-man assault and cover tactics.
It was a battle across vastly different eras. Even as many of the lords' soldiers armed with firearms could not put up resistance, the combat Humanoid Beasts were swift and efficient, taking out a target with a few well-aimed bursts before continuing to advance like bulldozers.
Bai Zhongqi clicked his tongue in amazement, "In the past, the Swarm Empresses rarely used Humanoid Beasts. Yet, your generation's Empress has directly built an army of combat Humanoid Beasts and even masterfully adopted human tactics. The Swarm isn't known for using tactics."
Ling countered, "Why do I feel like you are mocking them? The Swarm's disinterest in tactics comes from their overwhelming numerical advantage and battle will, rendering strategies useless as they could simply crush their enemies by sheer force of numbers."
At this time, Zang Murenqing seemed somewhat dazed. Bai Zhongqi had sent him down without clarifying his plans, simply patting his shoulder and assuring him that everything would be fine. For a moment, the student even suspected that Bai Zhongqi did not trust him and had sent him to face certain death.
Only when he saw the endless stream of soldiers emerging from the countless holes on the ground did he realize that he could never fully comprehend how powerful and terrifying his teacher was.
Zang Murenqing had run out of ammunition for his Gatling gun, so he took out an assault rifle. Refusing to be outdone, he mounted his warhorse and charged into the enemy ranks alongside the combat Humanoid Beasts.
"Fight, and then victory! As long as we keep winning, we will definitely prevail," Zang Murenqing's confidence surged instantly.
The other students, watching the battle from the city wall, were itching to join in. Shi Nazhen also asked for permission, "Teacher, the victory in this battle is certain. Let the students go down and test their mettle as well."
Unexpectedly, Bai Zhongqi shook his head, saying, "It's not over yet."
Surprised, another student asked, "Why do you say that?"
Bai Zhongqi replied indifferently, "This battle wasn't instigated by humans but by that Rapids Dragon. If he truly intends to ambush me, how could he not appear on the battlefield at this time? We may have defeated the Northeast Land allied forces, but we have yet to defeat the Rapids Dragon."
Gang Naj inquired, "Could it be that the dragon won't come?"
Bai Zhongqi smiled, "He's already here."
