Future Beast World: Becoming A Pampered Beauty-Chapter 42 - 27: Taking His Power
Sang Luo turned, staring into his faintly excited eyes, and remembered the Insect Clan’s Talent Ability: Disguise Transformation.
’My identity as a pure human is never safe in this Beast World. If I can get this Talent Ability, it would undoubtedly be the best way to hide who I am.’
"This is really your first time?"
"I guarantee it." He smiled. "Why don’t you try and find out?"
"Then let’s do it!"
She yanked him by the collar, crashed her lips against his, and bit down hard. The taste of blood spread between their lips.
Anubia’s eyes turned scarlet with excitement!
Outside the window, members of the Insect Clan suddenly burst apart and died. The red gauze bed curtains fell, concealing their entangled bodies.
...
’She... was incredible.’
Anubia was utterly captivated, completely addicted. Now that he’d had a taste, he craved more.
The pheromones she released when aroused were dangerously sweet. Her every response sent him into an ecstasy that bordered on madness. He lost control several times, yet felt no exhaustion, only growing more vigorous with each passing moment.
Just as he was reaching a fever pitch, an Insect Clan member suddenly reported from outside the door, "This is bad, Prince! Someone has disturbed the source of contamination!"
With an annoyed expression, Anubia was forced to stop and pull away. Still craving more, he kissed her on the cheek. "Be a good girl and stay in bed. I’ll be right back, and then we can have some more fun~"
"..."
It was a long while before the feeling returned to her body, which had been overwhelmed by extreme pleasure. Sang Luo licked her lips, closed her eyes, and carefully sensed the new Talent Power that had appeared within her.
[Talent: Space Travel] [Talent: Mimicry Transformation]
’This guy seemed so wild and unrestrained. I can’t believe he was actually a virgin.’
Sang Luo didn’t even have time to be happy before her brow furrowed. The Talent Power Anubia had given her was at the King Beast Level. Although her own power had jumped significantly, stabilizing somewhere between the Sixth Rank Peak and the Seventh Rank, she was still far too weak compared to a true King Beast. She wouldn’t be able to unleash the full potential of this Talent Power.
The range of her Space Travel was too short—only a few kilometers.
That wasn’t even enough to get out of the palace.
’There’s no map here, and I don’t know where I am. I’d better not just jump around randomly, or I might end up on another continent.’
Outside the palace, patrolling Insect Clan guards were everywhere.
Sang Luo spotted a dead mouse in a corner. With a flicker of intent, she transformed into a small gray mouse. Her clothes dropped to the floor as she scurried under a large iron door.
She had no idea where she’d ended up. The place was dark and damp.
"Sob..."
Suddenly, Sang Luo heard faint sobbing. She followed the sound down a dark passage.
She found a corridor lined with prison cells. Behind the iron bars, countless females were imprisoned. A quick glance told her there were at least a hundred of them!
’Females are so precious in the Beast World, yet these insects are keeping them locked up in such a disgusting place!’
Sang Luo climbed up the iron bars and gnawed furiously at the lock, but it wouldn’t break.
’These iron doors and locks must be made from some special material. Even a lightning strike probably couldn’t break them.’
BOOM— A heavy door groaned open, letting in a sliver of light. Sang Luo reared up on her hind legs to look. Several tall members of the Insect Clan were walking in.
She didn’t dare linger. Spotting a mouse hole in the corner, she quickly scurried through it.
After navigating a winding path, Sang Luo finally managed to escape the palace and slip out of the city. In the blink of an eye, she vanished into the city defense forest.
...
Anubia returned from his fight, looking disheveled, only to find that she was gone.
"Where is my female?!"
The Prince’s monstrous rage washed over the entire city’s Insect Clan. They stopped caring about capturing the females outside and mobilized everyone to turn the palace and the city upside down, but she was nowhere to be found!
All they found was a set of a female’s clothing in a corner of the palace.
"You useless fools! You can’t even keep an eye on one female! What good are you to me!" He grabbed the clothes, his teeth clenched in fury. "Find her and drag her back to me!"
...
...
Sang Luo ran freely through the forest. Using short-distance Space Travel, she quickly put several dozen kilometers behind her. She figured the Insect Clan would never be able to catch her now.
She had just reached a riverbank and taken a few sips of water when her body was suddenly lifted into the air. A strong, lean Golden Lion had gently picked her up in its jaws and was now strolling forward.
"...?"
’What’s happening?’
Sang Luo went on high alert, her body frozen stiff. She didn’t dare make a single rash move. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
To any observer, she looked like a common little mouse, frozen in terror after being caught.
The Golden Lion carried her in its mouth, strolling along as if on a leisurely walk. She had no idea where it was taking her.
’A little mouse like me isn’t even a mouthful for it!’
Gradually, Sang Luo realized something was off. Beast Tides had been frequent in Beckman Forest recently, and the Insect Clan was prowling nearby. Yet, in all the time the Golden Lion had been carrying her, she hadn’t seen a single other creature.
This Golden Lion didn’t seem to have any intention of eating her, either.
’It’s not a Star Beast... it’s a Beastman!’
But as long as it didn’t speak, neither would she.
Once Sang Luo was certain her life wasn’t in danger, she finally had the peace of mind to observe him. The Golden Lion was powerfully built, a full six or seven meters long. His fur was as dazzling as gold and sunlight, flawlessly pure, and he exuded an air of nobility and elegance.
As if sensing her cautious inspection, a hint of playfulness flickered in his jade-green eyes.
’Star Beasts don’t show that kind of emotion. I’m positive he’s a Beastman!’
’But... the more I look at this Golden Lion, the more familiar he seems. Where have I seen him before?’
Sang Luo lowered her head in thought.
’It’s the golden-haired man from the inn!’
The Golden Lion carried her into a cave and finally spoke.
"Hahaha! Little cutie, I never expected that someone as beautiful as you is actually a little mouse, are you?"
’Damn, he recognized me?’
Sang Luo hesitated. There was no point in keeping up the act. She lifted her little head, the whiskers on her pointed snout twitching, and asked, "How did you recognize me?"
The Golden Lion lowered his head and sniffed her. "Your appearance changed, but your scent didn’t. It’s still just as pleasant. I smelled you from a great distance."
"..." ’Are Beastmen’s noses really that sharp? My disguise was a complete joke!’
"Why were you carrying me in your jaws?"
"Beckman Forest hasn’t been safe lately. There are a lot of Insect Clan members around. A female like you running around here could easily get snatched."
Sang Luo didn’t dare admit that she’d already been captured once and had just escaped from an Insect Clan base.
There was a pile of firewood and kindling on the ground. The Golden Lion opened his mouth and breathed out a jet of golden flames, instantly setting the wood ablaze. He snorted and said, "I’ve left my energy signature outside the cave, so no Star Beasts or members of the Insect Clan will come near. I have some business to wrap up. You wait here for now. When I get back, I’ll take you to the Western Continent."
"Oh, right, are you hungry? Want something to eat? I can catch some prey for you while I’m out," the Golden Lion asked before he left.
"Anything’s fine. I’m not picky."
"Alright."
With that, the Golden Lion leaped out of the cave and vanished into the forest in a flash.
Sang Luo waited and waited, from morning until evening. He’d promised to bring back food, but most of the day passed with no sign of him. She was about to starve to death.
’Figures you can’t trust a man’s word. I’d better go hunt for myself.’
Sang Luo sighed and scurried out to find food.
Hunting large Star Beasts might be difficult for her, but she had no problem catching small ones like pheasants and wild rabbits. Unfortunately, she didn’t have a Fire Ability, so she couldn’t just start a fire to cook whenever she wanted.
Fortunately, by the time she caught two wild rabbits and hurried back to the cave, the embers were still glowing. She added a few more pieces of wood, then skinned, gutted, and cleaned the rabbits. After skewering them on branches and roasting them over the fire, she finally filled her stomach.
Sang Luo ran out of the cave, intending to head back to the Thousand Elephant Tribe to check on things. But in the distance, she saw a man lying collapsed by the riverbank.
She stopped in her tracks.
’No wonder he didn’t bring me any food,’ she thought. ’He got injured.’
