Chapter 259: Chapter 203: Receiving Gifts Until Her Hands Go Soft

Fei Yuan spoke, "Little Ye, I’m still here. Are you brazenly stealing someone right out of my palace?"

Si Ye just scooped the person up and ran.

"You!"

...

After spending a sweet and satisfying half-month at the Marquis Mansion, Sang Luo took Zhenzhen back to the North Continent, to Ice-breaking City, so Lan Cang could meet the child as well.

After Zhenzhen was born, she had gone straight to the Bian Clan Land. Sang Luo herself had barely held her, and Lan Cang hadn’t even seen her yet.

’The children I bear are their children, too. Every father has to meet them!’

"Luoluo!" The moment Lan Cang sensed Sang Luo’s return, he appeared at the door to welcome her.

He saw that she had returned with a large, pregnant belly.

He hurried forward to support her carefully, his brow furrowed with worry. "It’s been over a year. Why haven’t you given birth after all this time?"

"Over a year? It’s only been seven months..." Sang Luo realized what he meant and looked embarrassed. "Ahem, not that pregnancy! This is a new one. It’s the Sea Emperor’s second child."

"The pregnancy you’re talking about is over. This is her—Zhenzhen. Isn’t she adorable!"

Sang Luo held up the sleepy, gray-furred little kitten cub in her arms. She was rather unremarkable. Only after Sang Luo’s reminder did Lan Cang notice the tiny cub, only as long as her forearm—a little Bian cub—nestled in her embrace.

Lan Cang took the cub from her arms, studied her seriously, and smiled. "Very cute. She looks a lot like you when she sleeps, all curled up with her head tucked in."

He then looked down at her belly. "Don’t overwork yourself. When is this one due? Remember to bring the baby back for me to see."

"Soon. Probably in about two months." Sang Luo took his hand and grinned. "Don’t worry, I’ll definitely bring every child back for you to see after they’re born. City Lord Lan must have earned plenty of Beast Crystals these past two years, right? I’m still waiting for you to give the children their presents~"

"Mmm~? Presents? What presents!"

Zhenzhen rubbed her eyes and woke up, glancing at her mother and the handsome, unfamiliar uncle.

Lan Cang’s gaze softened even more. He took a Qiankun Bag from his storage space and hung it around Zhenzhen’s neck, next to the little bell she wore. "Hello, Zhenzhen. I am one of your mother’s Beast Husbands. You can call me Uncle Lan."

Zhenzhen was delighted with the gift and chirped in a crisp, clear voice, "Hello, Uncle Lan!"

"Where are Little Stone, Zhuizui, and Zhi Xin?" Sang Luo asked, looking around. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"They’re in class right now. Once they hear you’ve arrived, the three little ones will come running out any second..." Just as Lan Cang spoke, cries of "Mother!" came from the doorway as the pups ran up to them.

With her big belly, Sang Luo couldn’t hug them. She could only bend over slightly to pat each wolf pup on the head. "My darlings, you’re getting bigger and more beautiful."

She had been so busy with other things this past year that she hadn’t returned to the North Continent. She realized the children had grown quite a bit; before, they only came up to her knees, but now they reached her thighs.

The three wolf pups grew more slowly than other pups their age, but compared to her other children, their growth was considered fast.

Sang Luo introduced the children to each other.

"Your new little sister’s name is Si Shengxin. You can just call her Zhenzhen. She’s still very young, so you three need to take good care of your sister."

"Zhenzhen, these are your three older wolf-siblings. The little black wolf is your oldest brother, nicknamed Little Stone. The chubby one is your second brother, nicknamed Zhuizui, and the pretty, silver-white little wolf is your older sister, named Zhi Xin."

"Hello, little sister!"

"Hello, brothers and sister~"

The little cubs didn’t share a father, but they were born of the same mother. With a portion of shared blood flowing through their veins, they felt an instinctual closeness.

Zhi Xin was the happiest of all. ’I used to be the youngest sister, but now I’m an older sister too!’

She rummaged around in her Little Golden Lock space for a while and took out a lot of things. First came a huge pile of snacks, all her favorite flavors, which she stuffed into Zhenzhen’s Qiankun Bag. "Little sister Zhenzhen, these are all for you to eat! I don’t even share them with those two!"

Then she took out a picture frame. One half was shaped into a butterfly wing using small blue crystal stones, and the other butterfly wing half was made from glued-on white and blue dried flowers. It was very pretty.

"I made this myself. Do you like it, little sister? This is for you too!"

"I love it! Thank you, Sister Zhi Xin! It’s so pretty!"

Little Stone and Zhuizui also rummaged through their storage spaces for a long time, but unfortunately, the two male cubs weren’t as thoughtful as Zhi Xin and hadn’t collected any pretty things.

Zhuizui took out a limited-edition skateboard.

There weren’t many fun activities on the North Continent. He liked riding his skateboard on the ice and had fallen several times. In fact, his hind leg was still bandaged.

Sang Luo took the skateboard. "This is a bit too dangerous for your little sister. Mother will hold onto it for now and give it to her when she’s older."

Little Stone took out a toy gun that was still in its packaging and scratched his head. "Little sister, do you like this?"

Lan Cang had bought Little Stone many toy cars and guns when he was younger, but he no longer liked such childish toys. Many were still unopened and gathering dust, perfect for giving to his younger siblings. However, he figured a female cub probably wouldn’t like them; his sister Zhi Xin, for instance, had no interest in such things.

Zhenzhen’s eyes lit up. "I love it!"

Little Stone wagged his tail. "Hehe, I have lots more toys. They’re all for you, little sister."

A dozen sets of toy guns and cars all went into her storage space.

Zhenzhen made out like a bandit on this trip. She was so swamped with gifts that her tail curled up in delight.

Lan Cang was gratified to see the children getting along so well. He set Zhenzhen on the ground, and the four of them started playing together in a heap.

"Mother needs to talk with your father for a bit. You kids go play outside for now. Little Stone, teach your sister how to use the toy gun. Remember to be back for dinner, okay?"

"Okay, Mother!"

The cubs ran off to play.

Once the children had run far enough to be out of sight, Sang Luo turned to the affectionate Lan Cang, a charming, coquettish smile on her face. "Did you miss me?"

Lan Cang could no longer hold back. He lowered his head and kissed her lips, conveying his tidal wave of longing.

...

The sun began to set, and it was almost dinnertime, but the four cubs hadn’t returned. Worried they might have wandered too far and gotten lost, Lan Cang decided to go look for them.

Sang Luo went with him to find the children.

The children had run quite a distance, all the way to another mountain. They seemed to be having a race, with a small, colorful flag planted at the summit.

Zhenzhen was the smallest, but she ran very fast, leaving Zhuizui and Zhi Xin far behind. However, she could never quite catch up to Little Stone, who was in the lead.

Suddenly, Little Stone’s footing gave way, and he nearly tumbled down the slope.

Lan Cang instantly teleported over and caught him in his arms.

Little Stone rolled twice in the snow, getting completely covered in it, but he still remembered to turn and look back down. "Is sister Zhenzhen okay? I think there was a rock up ahead! It tripped me!"

"She’s fine," Sang Luo’s voice was cold. "Lan Cang, take the other three children back first. I need to have a word with Zhenzhen."

Lan Cang glanced at Zhenzhen but said nothing. He simply took the three other cubs and left.

Sang Luo’s face was grim. "Come here."

Zhenzhen’s tail drooped, and she looked uneasy.

"You just used your Talent Ability to trip your big brother Little Stone, didn’t you?"
