Chapter 926: Chapter 926 The Charge Does Not Stand_1
As they waited for the jury to deliver their verdict, Zara Jameson and her parents approached Purple Summers to inquire about the current situation.
“Since the person committed suicide, my son shouldn’t be in trouble, right?” Mrs. Jameson asked anxiously.
Purple Summers couldn’t help but laugh and cry, “Auntie, suicide is my speculation. The final judgment depends on the deliberation of the jury. Don’t be anxious. The prosecution’s evidence is not sufficient, and we still have the opportunity to appeal.”
“He definitely committed suicide!” Mrs. Jameson asserted confidently.
She believed it too.

Purple smiled, “It looks like my closing arguments had some good impact.”
Everyone laughed, and their mood lightened slightly amidst the oppressive court hearing.
Only Zara didn’t laugh; she was staring into the distance, lost in thought. Purple followed her gaze and saw Noelle Nichols with her head bowed in tears, while Henry Jameson stood by her, whispering something to her.
The expressions on both their faces weren’t good, and their conversation likely wasn’t pleasant.
“The bridal bouquet I promised you probably won’t happen,” Zara said somberly.
Purple could understand, after such an event, it would be hard for the two to talk about marriage again.
Not only was there resistance from Mr. and Mrs. Jameson, but now, a human life lay between them. Sean Patterson’s death would become a shadow, forever looming over their marriage.
Purple pulled Zara aside and said, “It’s okay, I can wait for your bridal bouquet with Ryan Wesley!”
“Me and Ryan Wesley?” Zara smiled and didn’t say much.
“What’s going on between you two?” Purple Summers asked with a gossipy tone, “Any progress?”
“It’s difficult to even meet normally, let alone make progress,” Zara was reluctant to divulge, perhaps feeling embarrassed, as her cheeks turned slightly red.
Purple pressed on, but Zara then said, “Don’t you think he’s more compatible with Jane McCain?”
“You two stop it!” Purple was exasperated, “Jane says Ryan likes you, and you say Ryan likes Jane! You’re confusing me with all this!”
Zara pursed her lips, her voice very low, “When Jane was here, it was easy to get along, but after Jane went abroad, my interactions with Ryan… are always odd. We have nothing to talk about, and I never know what to do whenever we meet… Purple, I’m not as lively as Jane. Is it possible that he liked the wrong person?”
“Unless he’s an idiot,” Purple Summers said, wide-eyed, “Who would be mistaken about whom they like?”
Having said that, she asked Zara again, “The important question is, do you like him?”
Zara just blushed, hemming and hawing without answering.
Purple felt she probably didn’t need to worry about their friends anymore.
An hour later, the jury’s verdict came in.
The court declared Henry Jameson and Noelle Nichols not guilty of the murder charges.
When they stepped out of the courthouse, reporters swarmed them, and the situation momentarily spiraled out of control.
Fortunately, Purple had a bodyguard escort, allowing for a smooth departure. Before getting into the car, she glanced back, only to see the reporters had engulfed Noelle and Henry; their figures were no longer visible.
Purple sighed quietly in her heart and sat down low in the car.
The man in the car lazily opened his eyes and said in a low voice, “Had I known it would end like this, I should have wished him a blissful marriage.”
Purple burst out laughing.
If Henry had successfully married, Purple would have only spent a day attending the wedding. But now, she had spent several days preparing for this case.
Alexander Summers felt it was a loss, a very bad deal.
“Are you free to accompany me now?” Alexander glanced at her from the corner of his eyes.
“I have to accompany you!” Purple giggled and pounced on him, pecking him on the chin, “And I have to thank you for helping me check the clues!”
The passwords to Sean Patterson’s various accounts had been hacked by the hacker Alexander found.
When Purple first learned about the video, she found it strange; Sean Patterson asked Noelle to record it, and Noelle actually did, even entrusting the video to Sean for safekeeping. Their close relationship broke all of Purple’s common sense.
No matter what, it was all finally over.
