Forgotten Love: Mr. President, Mrs. Fordham Has Rejected You!-Chapter 183: An Accident Happened
"You don’t love me anymore, and you won’t let me go to the Whitman Family to choose a husband. Do you want The Fordham Group to have no heir?"
Stella Grant was stunned by what he said.
After a long pause, she replied, "President Fordham, it’s your choice whether to go and choose a husband or not, don’t put the blame on me."
Aiden Fordham let out a low laugh, the vibration in his chest transmitted through the thin fabric to her back.
"Whether or not I go to the Whitman Family is up to you."
"As long as you still want me, I naturally won’t care about that Miss Whitman."
Stella Grant sneered coldly.
"You should go to The Imperial Capital. I wish you and Miss Whitman a harmonious relationship and lots of children."
Aiden Fordham flashed a dazzling smile, so bright it was blinding.
"Thank you, I certainly will."
Hearing this, Stella Grant was so angry her whole body stiffened and she stopped responding to him.
Keegan Lindsey quickly stepped forward to try and defuse the situation.
"Madam, we’re going to The Imperial Capital to have fun, not for a matchmaking event."
"The Imperial Capital has many sights to see, I’ve done all the research."
Keegan Lindsey finished speaking, quickly pulled a small booklet from his pocket, and unfurled it to a length of half a meter.
It was filled densely with notes on sights and foods in The Imperial Capital.
Luckily, he had done his homework in advance.
Stella Grant glanced at the detailed guide, her heart stirred a bit, but her mouth remained firm.
"If you want to go, go, it has nothing to do with me."
Aiden Fordham pulled her waist closer, not allowing her to escape.
"Of course, it concerns you. You have to come with us."
"If you don’t go, nothing will come to fruition."
Come to fruition?
Stella Grant’s mind buzzed; was he still considering that matter with Miss Whitman?
Jerk.
She began to struggle violently, "Let me go, Aiden Fordham, don’t go too far."
Keegan Lindsey saw things turning for the worse and quickly tried to remedy it.
"Madam, the D2.0 upgrade launch, there’s a launch event in The Imperial Capital, if you don’t go, nothing can come to fruition."
Stella Grant halted her movements, gritting her teeth as she spoke.
"I’m not going, let go."
Aiden Fordham watched her getting agitated, and instead found it amusing.
He suddenly released one of his hands, pulling a black strip of cloth from his pocket.
The next second, he blindfolded himself with it.
This action left Stella Grant and Keegan Lindsey dumbfounded.
"Aiden Fordham, what are you doing?"
Blindfolded, his expression was extremely sincere.
"Stella, I’ve told you before, you are the light of my world."
"Without you, my world will always be dark."
Finished speaking, he strode to the right, towards a shimmering artificial lake.
"President Fordham!"
Keegan Lindsey exclaimed in surprise.
As he saw one foot stepping into the void, losing balance and about to fall into the lake.
Without thinking, Stella Grant rushed over.
"Aiden Fordham! Are you crazy?"
She held onto his arm tightly, her heart nearly jumping out of her throat.
He turned around smoothly, encircling her entirely in his embrace.
"Stella, I know, you still love me." He finished, lowering his head to kiss her lips.
Stella Grant, still shaken, felt his domineering kiss covering her lips.
Inch by inch, he breached her trembling defenses, the fortress was about to fall.
Keegan Lindsey stood not far away, silently watching this scene.
Good heavens, he seriously suspected President Fordham’s blindfold was see-through.
From the watchtower, a pair of eyes were fixed on this scene, watching the two passionately kissing, her jealousy churned like the sea.
She beckoned with a finger, a bodyguard approached.
After hearing her instructions, he nodded and left the watchtower.
The night grew deeper.
Outside, Claire had long since fallen asleep, occasionally making little piglet sounds.
On the large bed in the bedroom, Stella Grant and Vivi Sterling lay side by side, chatting aimlessly.
"Stella."
Vivi Sterling turned over, facing her, her eyes sparkling in the darkness.
"Today, I saw a man who was incredibly handsome!"
Her mind uncontrollably recalled that exceptionally handsome face.
"You might not believe it, but I almost mistook him for Zane Zimmerman."
Vivi Sterling laughed at herself.
"Am I going crazy? I’m starting to hallucinate."
Stella Grant softly comforted her, "You just miss him too much."
"Maybe." Vivi Sterling sighed, her voice lowered, "There’s something I’ve never told you."
She paused, seemingly organizing her thoughts.
"You don’t know, Zane Zimmerman like you, is genetically deficient and allergic to anesthesia."
Stella Grant’s heart sank suddenly.
"Later, I secretly asked his subordinates if he had any sisters at home."
"But they all said that Zane Zimmerman was born and raised in Mardale, an only child, with no sisters."
Vivi Sterling’s tone was tinged with confusion.
"So, I never told you about this. Geez, I can only say, it’s a small world."
Yet Stella Grant sank into deep thought.
Mardale... genetic deficiency...
She remembered Roman Lynch’s encounter with a special case, and the distant The Imperial Capital.
A strong intuition surged within her.
"Vivi, my background might be connected to The Imperial Capital."
"The Imperial Capital?"
Vivi Sterling immediately said, "When your serum is developed, I’ll go with you!"
"Okay." Stella agreed.
The air was silent for a few seconds.
Vivi suddenly leaned over with a mischievous smile, nudging her with her elbow.
"Have you forgiven Aiden Fordham? I saw it all; he kissed you!"
"Kissing for so long, won’t you suffocate?" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
In fact, she had kissed Zane Zimmerman even longer, and she survived!
Stella’s cheeks turned slightly red, her eyes showing a bit of helplessness.
"He’s just a rascal."
At this moment, in the presidential suite on the top floor.
Aiden Fordham was standing in front of the giant floor-to-ceiling window, holding a glass of red wine with his slender fingers, gently swirling it.
The wine created a beautiful curve on the glass wall.
In his mind, it was all about her lying weakly in his arms, so obedient, so soft.
The corners of his thin lips unconsciously curled upward.
"Knock, knock, knock."
The knocking sound interrupted his thoughts.
Keegan Lindsey pushed the door open and entered, looking solemn.
"President Fordham, Helen Warren has confessed everything."
"She said, the person who gave her the blood sample was a very young man, but he was well-disguised, she couldn’t see his face clearly."
Keegan handed over a document.
"She only remembers that the man had a medium build, was slender, and had a small mole behind his left ear."
Medium build, behind the left ear, a small mole.
Aiden Fordham’s gaze suddenly turned cold, a name instantly popped into his mind.
Roman Lynch.
He ordered in a deep voice, "Have someone investigate Roman Lynch; I think there’s something wrong with him."
"Yes." Keegan nodded and turned to leave.
Aiden Fordham picked up his phone, opened the familiar avatar, and sent a WeChat message, with the nickname noted as "Baby Wife."
[Are you asleep?]
As always, there was no response.
He smirked, his fingers quickly tapping on the screen.
[Hungry? Want to come up for something to eat?]
[Little heartless one, not replying to me again.]
The message was sent, still receiving no response.
He wasn’t annoyed, just about to put down his phone when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
Was it her?
Aiden Fordham felt a surge of joy, striding over to pull open the door.
Outside stood a tall, cool-tempered man.
It was Hugh Whitman.
Aiden Fordham’s smile instantly froze on his face, replaced by undisguised sarcasm.
"Eldest Master Whitman, knocking on my door in the middle of the night doesn’t seem appropriate."
Hugh Whitman didn’t even look at him, walked straight in, exuding an aura of coldness that kept strangers at bay.
About half an hour later.
Hugh Whitman left without a trace of emotion.
In the room, the expensive bottle of red wine Aiden Fordham had opened was completely drained by him.
The next day.
The three women, rarely having free time, went together to a famous spot in Faelan, The Imperial Gardens.
After touring the gardens, they had a sumptuous lunch nearby and were satisfied as they prepared to return.
The car drove out of the city, heading towards the highway entrance.
Unexpectedly, they had barely left the city for ten kilometers, not yet reaching the highway.
An accident occurred.
The bodyguard’s car broke down, seeing the distance from the car in front widening, they had driven two to three kilometers ahead, and the bodyguard hurriedly called.
"Miss, our car broke down, please stop, don’t proceed further, we’ll catch up immediately."
"Alright." Vivi hung up the phone, instructing the driver to pull over.
Just as the car stopped, two black commercial vehicles pulled up, and suddenly several masked men in black surrounded them heavily.
Stella felt an immediate sense of doom and shouted, "Vivi, don’t get out of the car."
But, by that time, Vivi had already been dragged out, a shiny dagger pressed against her face.
The leader stuck his head inside, "Everyone get out."
Stella and Claire got out of the car, Claire was terrified, huddled behind Stella.
"Who are you people, what do you want?" Stella stared at them.
In the distance, the bodyguard was running over, but with one glance from the masked leader, two muscular men stopped him in his tracks.
"Who is God N, you’re coming with me." The man spoke.
Stella coldly replied, her eyes showing a chilling intensity, "I am, let them go, I’ll go with you."
Vivi shouted, "Stella, you can’t."
The man was obviously angry, slapping her across the face, blood trickling slowly from the corner of Vivi’s mouth.
"Talkative!"
Stella was furious, "Stop, the person you’re looking for is me."
The nearby bodyguards didn’t come; they had been beaten down. But further back, several black cars were faintly visible headed this way.
Right in broad daylight, these people were quite bold.
With one command from the man, his subordinates directly approached, grabbing Stella.
Claire threw caution to the wind, she spread out her hands in front of Stella.
Desperately "ah"-ing, her tiny hands frantically gesturing.
That man grabbed her chin, eyes filled with a touch of lust,
"Boss, I like this little mute, take her with us?"
Then, he pressed Claire against the car, leaning down to kiss her neck.
Claire was terrified, struggling non-stop, trying to escape the man’s disgusting kiss.
Stella roared, "What are you doing, let her go, don’t touch her."
"Stop, I told you to stop, don’t bully her." Vivi rushed up, angrily yanking the man off of Claire, even forcefully slapping the man.
"Bitch." The man was furious, pushing her to the ground; she reflexively landed on her right elbow, reducing the impact on her stomach.
"Vivi." Stella screamed, losing her composure in fear.
"Ah, ah." Claire anxiously signed to her, eyes red.
"Take them all." The leader said, and three men dragged and pulled them, taking them all into the vehicle...
