Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 216: He is an evil genius
Celestia’s POV:
"Angelic Demon?" Edwin gasped. " He is an Angelic Demon?"
Perhaps the reason why no one is able to defeat the Silver Shadow is because no one understands him well. How can you defeat someone when you know nothing about them?
I shook my head and started explaining to them. "Even before a thousand years, he was capable of controlling both the light and dark forces. He believes that the one who masters in both the forces become the powerful ones—"
"So that is why he is invincible?" Laris asked in awe.
I nodded. "Exactly! And that is why he was able to get in the Chapel of Sun God."
"Something is still not adding up," Edwin said. "I agree that he is able to get in the Sun Chapel as has a little light in him. But King Oberon is capable of sensing the powers of others—but when the King touched him, he felt nothing. How is that possible?"
That was the one question for which I still don’t know the answer.
"Somehow, he is able to suppress his powers from others," I sighed out. "I don’t know how he does that—"
So far, everyone has told me that it is impossible to conceal one’s powers. The only thing which can drain out one’s energy is the dead rock. Then it hit me!
"It is the dead rock," I cried out and fixed my gaze on Darius. "You told me that a tiny portion of the dead rocks in the Northern mountains went missing. He must be using that to conceal his powers—"
"He is an evil genius," Darius retorted. "How does he even come up with ideas like this?"
"It is his superpower," I sighed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The six of us sat under the shade of the tree, and we were trying hard to come up with a perfect plan of capturing the trickster Silver Shadow.
Each one gave out different ideas. Ember said that we should go to the fort now and attack them. Edwin said that we should inform the King about this and act according to his orders.
Laris and Vivan said that it is too dangerous to confront him face to face. Now I waited for Darius to say something. He has always been like a leader to us all—whatever he says becomes the final.
"No one will speak a word about this to the King or anyone else," Darius said after a while in a tone filled with determination. "It is evident that we have many traitors in the courtroom. So if this ever gets out, then Silver Shadow will know that we are onto us. We will end up alerting our enemy, which will lead to his escape."
"But he already knows that I am onto him. He and I had a telepathic conversation in the Sun Chapel," I said to him.
"You had what?" Darius shouted.
Then I explained to him how Silver Shadow could whisper in my head. I thought that they all already knew about this before. Perhaps I didn’t tell them about this—the past me was very hostile to them.
"Then the Silver Shadow must be already in alert mode. So playing strategies is not going to help us anymore," Darius said.
"So we should attack now?"
"Not exactly! We should attack him when he least expects one," he said and took out the moonstone and the orb from his pocket. Every time I saw the bluish stone, my insides shivered a little.
What if I get thirsty again and hurt my own friends? I was relieved when he placed the moonstone back inside the orb and sealed the shiny sphere shut.
"Do you know how I found out that there is something wrong with this orb?" Darius asked me, for which I responded by shaking my head.
"I was feeling a little burnt out on the day of your coronation. And when you dropped it on the stage, I was the one who picked the orb from the ground. As soon as I touched this orb, I felt my energy rise up. That is when I found out that this is not just an orb," he said while he was fiddling with the sphere.
"Silver Shadow always had a thing for this moonstone, and I am a hundred percent sure that he will come back for it. I propose that we lay him a trap right there and capture him—"
His idea was not a bad one at all. But Darius forgets that Silver Shadow has survived the abyss of torment. He is smart enough to escape from our traps.
"No, Darius! I am telling you that we should attack him now. We should gather the warrior Faes and surround the fort. If we all try and battle hard, there is a chance that we can capture him—"
"That is not going to work," Darius snapped. "I already told you that there are a lot of traitors among ourselves. If we plan something like that, then we might as well send the trickster a message attached to the firebird that we are coming there to attack him—cause the traitors will alert him and let him escape the lands."
He had a logical point. Still, I didn’t feel that laying a trap for him was going to work; he is smarter than that.
"So what do you say? Shall we discuss our plan?" Darius asked me. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
My mind was so saturated that I had no more points to argue with him. Maybe there is no right way to do this!
Only Holy Aiden is to be blamed—as he created a man with so many capabilities and let him disrupt the peace around the realm.
It would be good if the Holy Aiden aids me in defeating him—but it seems like he is not with me at all. My Fae powers are suppressed for some reason, and I have no faith that I can unleash the Angel in me. Just with my Vampire capabilities, I stand no chance against an Anti-Angel.
While Darius was saying out his plan to us, I looked up at the bright sun above me and questioned him for his injustice.
