Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 183: A choice to suppress my charms

Theo’s POV:

"Your highness," Samuel began his explanation. "I understand that you are excited to meet the Dawn. But you can’t convince the Dawn by speaking with her."

"Then what am I supposed to do? Watch her from the shadows and do nothing while she becomes a puppet doll for Oberon?"

"I am sorry. Your highness! I can’t reveal any more details to you about the future. It will mess up the cycle of nature. So you would have to figure out about this on your own."

I sighed to myself and leaned back on the wooden chair. If he says one more time that the cycle of nature might get messed up, then I am pretty sure that my sanity will get messed up too!

"I don’t get your cycle of nature," I sighed and tapped my finger on the table. "I am going to become the King anyway. If you say out the happenings of the future, then how will your precious cycle get messed up?"

Through my peripheral vision, I noticed Ivory, who was now draped in the brown fur blanket, was viewing our argument eagerly. It would be nice if she backed me up a little. Why is she silent? Or maybe she is still freezing.

"I want to confess something to you, your highness! You might be powerful now, and in the end, you are going to become the King! But your pathway from here is not going to be smooth! You would have to face so many challenges. So if I reveal the happenings of the future, it will definitely distort the favorable outcome."

I didn’t get a word he was saying. But the one thing that I understood is that I will not get much help from him. He is just offering me a disguise to enter the castle.

Whatever! I always didn’t rely much on others in my life. I was on my own from the beginning. And I am sure that I can make it on my own!

I was lying down on my bed and viewed the beautiful Northern mountains through the large window that was in front of my sight.

The mountains appeared dark to me as it was midnight, and they were devoid of snow. They say that it is not yet winter here. Still, the breeze that came from the windows was giving me chills.

Ivory was sleeping in the twin bed that was right next to mine. She had herself buried in the fur blanket this time. I really wanted to have a conversation with her. But she seemed to be in a deep sleep.

I got down from the bed and went near the window. We were in the middle regions of the fort, but still, I was able to see a portion of the Highlands. This land belongs to me! I am the one who is supposed to rule this land. But Oberon took away that right from me!

At first, I thought of winning Celestia’s heart alone. But that alone is not my deed. I would have to defeat Oberon and rule this land. This is what Celestia and I are meant to do. Oberon is preventing that from happening.

I slid my fingers into my sheath and brushed my fingers against the glossy dead rock, which felt cold now. I will take what is mine, no matter how hard my pathway is. Oberon should pay for his sins and for mine too, as he was the one who made me do it!

Unlike Ivory, I wasn’t able to sleep all night. The thought of seeing Celestia again kept me awake. But Ivory was still asleep even after the lands got brightened up by the sun.

I don’t understand how I am going to control myself today. Every time I see my love, all I want to do is to take her in my arms and feel her lips. And I am not very strong when it comes to self-control. Perhaps the tiny dead rock in my sheath will help me with this too!

At that moment, the door opened, and the young maiden who offered us Tea yesterday got inside. She got nervous as she got closer to me.

Since she was a perspicacious Fae, I wasn’t able to read her mind. But I am pretty sure that she is shy to meet my eyes.

I have gone through this a lot in the past. Every girl will definitely fall for me once she stares at my green eyes. The Almighty has given me this gift!

Even Celestia falls for me every time she sees my eyes, but sometimes she is also capable of resisting me too. I still don’t know how she does that.

The young girl gave me a couple of clothes that were purple in color and said," The Fae Lord has requested you to wear these clothes from now on."

I shuddered when I visualized myself in purple armor and robe. Why didn’t I think this through before? My disguise is to be a Perspicacious Fae, so I am obligated to wear purple!

Celestia is seeing me after a lot of days, and I am supposed to wear this? Anyway, my appearance would be different too. I don’t think that my sweetness will judge me by the outfit I wear.

"Thank you so much, young lady," I said and made a mistake by smiling at her. Her jaw dropped down immediately, and she ran out of the chamber in a hurry.

I felt bad for messing with her mind. She is probably going to lose sleep for days because of me. I am not proud of doing this either.

I never intended to confuse or hurt any girls. But my charms always allure them. Not just me but all Sirens go through this difficulty—as they fascinate people even when they don’t want to.

It would be nice if Goddess Selene gives us an option of suppressing our alluring power when it is not needed!
