Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 166: Show me her
Theo’s POV:
Cynthia made me stay in her chamber and didn’t let anyone else visit me. I don’t know why she is overreacting now. I am normal, and she knows that.
I was lying down on the blue settee and was resting my head on Cynthia’s lap. She applied Lavender oil on my long brown hair. After applying the oil all over my hair strands, she massaged my scalp gently with her fingers.
I almost forgot how long my hair has gotten. I did trim them when I was in the deep abyss twice or thrice; still, they are long!
"Theo, do you even worry about other people? What would have happened if the Nephilim in you had gotten out?" Cynthia started to give me an earful.
"But I wouldn’t have hurt anyone! Even if I lose control, you and Amelia would have tamed me."
She pulled out my hair strands and made me wince. "Do you understand the seriousness here or not? We Sirens don’t stand a chance if your Nephilim powers take over you.
"I understand! Would you please let my hair go?" I pleaded with her. Only then did she set my hair free. I think that it is time to cut my hair!
"I am so disappointed in you, Theo! When you were a cute little boy, I never imagined that you would cause me this much trouble," she continued yelling at me.
I smiled at her and said, "When are you going to learn that I am not a little kid anymore?"
She leaned to the settee’s cushion, and a sigh got out of her throat. "You are never going to understand what I went through when you were in that dark pit! I was about to jump into the pit myself to see you. But my girls stopped me from making that mistake."
A knot formed in my throat as I listened to her. Was she ready to jump in the pit for me? It is good that the Siren girls changed her mind. Otherwise, she would not have survived down there like me.
"Cynthia! I am sorry that you had to go through that. I had no idea about it. But do you know how I was able to survive the pit?"
She knew the answer to my question because she had read my thoughts entirely. Still, she refused to acknowledge the truth.
"I get that you survived the pit because you so badly wanted to see that Fae girl again, and you got strength just by thinking about her. But you fail to realize that she is the reason why you were thrown into that pit in the first place."
"I deserved that punishment for letting her die! So you can’t blame Celestia for this. Blame me for letting her down."
She was speechless as she didn’t know what else to argue with me. Then she continued to massage my hair silently for a minute. Perhaps she won’t argue with me on this anymore!
Cynthia proved me wrong by asking me another question. "Why does it bother you so much that she is going to become the Princess?"
"Because she is meant to be my Queen! She doesn’t deserve to be bait for that lame King Oberon."
Cynthia didn’t like my answer. Still, she didn’t talk back to me. She applied more Lavender oil to my hair and made my hair get greasy.
"You know what! I thought of treating you like my child. But you are giving me a hard time with your stubbornness. And don’t think that you will get your way this time. I will do everything in my power to stop you from reuniting with that Fae girl!"
Is she threatening me? I was not scared but surprised that she is even capable of saying something like that to me. Perhaps she is not going to give me a free pass from now on!
"Exactly, Theo! I can’t let you make wrong decisions over and over again," she replied after she read thoughts. "Even if you deny, you are always my responsibility! I won’t hesitate to go to any lengths to protect you from Oberon and that Fae girl!"
I just smiled at her response and closed my eyes. She still thinks that Celestia is my weakness. But that is not true! Celestia is my biggest strength, and Cynthia will understand it one day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once Cynthia fell asleep on the settee, I got up from her lap and went out of her chamber quietly as I didn’t want her to wake up.
After I left the chamber, I rushed downstairs to prison, where Samuel is locked up. I should really ask him how Celestia is doing. Since he was a Perspicacious Fae, I wasn’t able to penetrate into his mind and see it for myself.
There was only one cell in the basement of the Sapphire castle, and it is specially reserved for the pervert men who trespass into the island. According to my knowledge, Samuel is the only exotic man who has been alive for more than twenty-four hours after getting captured here.
I got into the basement and stepped closer to the iron cell. This place would have been dark if it were not for the little window on the wall that radiated the moonlight into the room from outside.
This is the beauty of Selene Realm. Thanks to the Moon Goddess Selene, even a little moonlight is bright enough to illuminate the whole place.
Samuel got up from the floor when he saw me. "Your majesty, I am so honored by your presence."
"That’s fine! Now tell me how Celestia is doing?"
He grinned from ear to ear and said," She is a pretty lady! The entire courtroom was dazzled when she arrived. I can show it to you if you want."
"How is that possible? You have a strong mental shield. I can’t penetrate your mind."
He shook his head and explained, "Through physical contact, I can project my thoughts to you and make you see the events that I had witnessed."
I instantly held his hand and shouted out, "Show me her now!"
