Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 161: My beauty is my Enemy!
Celestia’s POV:
After I completed munching the half basket full of berries, I got suited up in my regular warrior clothes for the court session. I still had a faint hope in my heart that the High Faes might refuse to crown me. I wish that they do!
Even if they decide to crown me, then I should gracefully accept their decision. That is what my people expect me to do! And I should not let them all down.
I stood near my window and stared at the spot on the table where the cage of Tangerine used to be. I would have felt better if she was with me now. She is the only one in all three realms who loves me unconditionally without expecting anything else from me!
Tangerine doesn’t care if I am the Dawn or not. She doesn’t judge me for the poor choices I made in the past. Nor does she want me to become the princess of the Celestial Realm.
She only wants me to be happy. Whenever she sees me sad, then she gets sad too! I still remember how she would try to cheer me up by pecking my cheek with her beak whenever I got sad.
The only thing that she expects from me is my affection and company. Where can I get a companion like her?
I miss her so much! I hope that I get her back soon from that manipulative Siren girl Amelia! What if she had gotten rid of her? But I don’t think that she is cruel enough to hurt a harmless bird.
At that moment, the wooden door of my room opened, and Ember and Daviana got inside. They both gasped as soon as they laid their eyes on me.
"Celestia, why on Aiden’s name are you dressed like this?" Daviana shouted at me.
I gazed down at my robe to check if I was wearing them inside out. I had done something like that before!
Once when I was in the mortal world, I wore my top inside out mistakenly, and the people around me gave me odd glares. It was really embarrassing!
But I was wearing my robe correctly. It wasn’t inside out at all. Then why are they both overreacting?
Daviana went to my closet and began to dig through it. After a while, she took out a long lilac-colored gown and almost threw the dress at me. I caught the huge dress right before it was about to fall.
"How will the court approve you to be crowned as the Princess if you keep on wearing that same old warrior clothes?"
"But I thought that-"
"No, Celestia," she interrupted me." If you want to be acknowledged as the Princess, then you should start to act like one from now on."
I wanted to scream at her that I don’t want to be crowned. Instead, I buried my anger in my bones and said with a smile, "Okay! I will try to become the perfect princess that everyone wants me to be."

Once I got dressed up like a doll in the lilac-colored sparkling gown, Ember and Daviana were doing my hair. How much time does it take for them to comb someone’s hair? But they both were trying out a different kind of hairdo, and it was taking them a lot of time to bring out the perfection.
Ember held half of my wavy golden locks and said to Daviana," Perhaps I can use the glamour spell to make her hair straight and sleek! What do you think about it?"
"I think that little curls would increase her elegance," Daviana responded to her.
I was on the brink of going insane as they both started to drive me crazy! This is all ridiculous. Who cares if my hair is straight or sleek?
Still, I didn’t lash out at them as I saw the glint of eagerness in their eyes. They both want me to become the Princess. That is why they are taking this much effort in dolling me up. So I let them have their way.
I wish that no one would insist on me wearing sparkling gowns like this all the time. I can’t possibly imagine wearing this in a battle against the Shadow creatures. I would definitely lose the battle within a few minutes!

Just when I thought that Ember and Daviana would finally let me go, they placed a pair of glossy crystal high-heeled shoes next to my feet. The shoes were lilac in color, and they matched with the massive gown that I was wearing.
Even though those shoes looked pretty, I hesitated to wear them as the heels were too high! This is one of the reasons why I didn’t want to be a model when I was working in the fashion studio.
Daviana frowned at me and said," Just step in the shoes!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
I sighed and lifted up my large gown that was touching the ground and put on the shoes with much difficulty. I got almost half a foot taller than my actual height.
"Look how pretty she is," Ember squealed out. I got anxious by her compliment. I immediately turned to the mirror and was shocked to see that I was more pretty than I was before. I hated my new look.
Silver Shadow made me his prey just because of my beauty! Even when I was in the mortal world, a lot of guys tried to pursue me only because I was pretty. My beauty has always been my biggest enemy!
At least in my previous life, my skin had a slight golden glow. Now the Half-Vampire in me had enhanced my physical features by giving me paler skin and an attractive physique.
Now Ember and Daivana had dolled me up and made me look unusually charming like a gifted Siren girl! The last thing I need right now is to look more pretty.
I can’t wait for the court session to get over so that I could take off this sparkling dress and get back to my comfortable short gown.
